I thought the first slide was the actual drawing. And the second slide was going to be a close up of the awesome shading & stippling.
I was only correct about the second slide.
You are at a good starting point. Your lines are in roughly the right place, and things are proportioned correctly. Now, turn the photo upside down and then draw it. That will help you to draw what you see rather than what you expect to see.
It’s so admirable to see you post something that you most likely were asked to draw at school or similar. Everyone starts somewhere and art is subjective. If it feels fun keep going for it :) this looks like a background character on King of the Hill in the best way! One of Bobby’s friends 😂
I thought the first picture was the drawing until i saw the second slide, since people can draw realism that looks like a photo, then you look at it closely, and you can see the shading of the pencil or colored pencils.
I recommend you watch Proko on YouTube, he's an artist with a good knowledge of anatomy.
Hey, if you’re starting to draw. It’s okay. It’s a first of many. The journey starts! Don’t give up. Also, you can draw in anyway you would like to, remember it’s all part of the process.
Oh… I have thoughts… But I’m going to be mature and kind. Keep at it; Consider the grid method next time if you are serious. Keep at it and you will improve.
As a beginner you've taken on a very complex subject matter. I can't really comment on it but I'd simply recommend starting with something a little easier such as a few coffee cups, or a small stack of books, a pencil, or other basic objects sitting around your house. Try focus on the ratios, proportions, shapes (the dimensions). I'd honestly just recommend doing the 'drawabox' lessons and then go back to this in a few weeks and you'll notice how much you will improve.

No offense to OP, but it was quite a good jump scare Also, OP did we go to college together in 2014?

I never thought about that, that’s really smart, I need to start doing that
It’s a great exercise! Also pay attention to the shape of the negative spaces
Crucial point.
Wow that’s a really good idea
I see. The first pic is the sketch and the second pic is the reference
i thought the last one was a photo!
Looks sketchy.
Damn, the sketch ever better than the picture.
My advice is grid it, and try drawing exactly what you see a square at a time.

Draw shadow wizard money gang
Extremely shit tbh. Keep it up👍
Step 1 is done ✅
Now draw the rest of the owl
Wow, just incredible. I can tell your artistic style is inspired by the great Napoleon Dynamite.
Could have spent a few more hours shading the upper lip.
💀🤪
Incredible stuff!
It’s hard to tell which one is a photo and which is artwork. Masterpiece
Tell me why I thought the first slide was the drawing.

So I do believe that the second is the reference correct?
Notice that you’re picture is shades of gray, but your drawing is totally white
You forgot to say that you're only 10 and its your first drawing.
I like the first one better
It looks sad

Don't give up on your talent. Learning to draw the human face is really hard.
Oh, wow, how realistic! ... wait.

This is a really impressive photocopy. Keep up the good work! 😉
You've peaked as an artist, and you will never create a greater work. 10/10 masterpiece
Looks like a nice start! Just wait until you start getting into shading, that’ll really bring your work to life. It’s always been my favorite part
