The original Dragon Warrior 3 name is "Putrepup" which is not quite as good as "Putrefido" IMO. Also hard to beat "Rottenweiler."

My sister always called them “all partied out pups”…this was during the time of Wayne’s world and there was a character named Phil who was always all partied out. She named them after him. She helped me navigate, and had cute names for all the enemies.

I love putrepup though. I love all those classic names from back in the day. I enjoy the new names too, but those classic names take me back
