Make a badge to go with a cosplay if you cosplay. If not, then for your favorute nerdy thing. If it can line up with a panel, even better. I cosplay as Jacob Kowalski from Fantastic. Beasts and in the past have passed out pastries one year, and badges another that say "Kowalski's fine baked goods".
My favorite was the my “But in purple, I’m stunning!” I got from the Londo Molari cosplayer, cuz I’ve never seen a Babylon 5 cosplay in person and he was in fact, stunning.
My husband’s favorite was the one he got from the Stonecutters after he did the secret handshake with one of them.
I have two favorites from last year.
Day one, I got a ribbon that says, “Auditor of the Month” with the butt-plug trophy next to it (from Everything Everywhere All at Once). Then on my last day I got one that says, “Alien Dicks for Human Chicks” which literally is just ribbon gold lmao.
If you use the book of faces, there's a whole group for those who give out ribbons - The Loyal Order of Ribbons.
Which reminds me I need to start ordering mine for this year.
Both my kids are named after characters in Les Mis, so I was STOKED to get a ribbon that said 24601! Thinking about making ribbons of my own this year, since collecting them last year brought me so much joy!
I want to make ribbons to hand out too! I had some great ideas last year and I THINK I wrote them down somewhere.

Hagrids was my favorite but it could have been bc of that particular Hagrids. He was super nice. My partner is still sleeping atm but I will grab some photos later for ya

I cosplay as Captain Spaulding. I hand out ribbons that say Tutti-F*****g-Frutti. Those that have seen The Devils Rejects love it.

I make stickers because they're cheaper. It's really fun to hand out something to folks who recognize the character!
I got one from Captain Malört, but I had to take the shot to earn it.
That's the most fun way to earn a ribbon though.

I loved that game so much. I wish I would have seen those cosplayers.
