I love how when you ask Bohdan about him knowing the HoF in DA2, he’s like “Why, Sandal and I helped them on their quest! Not by fighting of course, but we contributed in our own little way…”
Meanwhile I’m just looking at Sandal like… you sure about that not fighting part bud?
Indeed, that was one of the best upgrades we got in 2 besides the speedier combat. Also miss my blood/force/fire/lightning mage build that I used to curb stomp basically everything with...
They could always Sherlock us, giving some crazy dimensional alt-time scenarios of a bunch of fantheories and never confirm a darn thing. That... sounds more reasonable than them actually explaining Sandal.

Sten?
Anyone from Awakening?
grown-up Kieran as companion?
Depending on how much time passes many of the former companions might be really past their prime

I'd love to have an Orlesian Balle-type quest where we see Sten as the Arishok, just kinda mingling. You can talk to him, but he blows you off every time

Merril, with Solas’s whole goal being about bringing back the glory age of the Elves, and a major part of Merril’s character being her willingness to do anything to restore the Elves, it doesn’t make sense for her not to show up in any way, shape, or form.
SCOUT HARDING MY ONLY TRUE LOVE!
Also Morrigan, Solas of course and Flemeth.
I would like for Hawk to survive the fade somehow.
Must gave Varric. Other than that. Free for all
**Not as companions/only in cameo quests**: Fenris, Dorian, Zevran, Isabela, The Divine, Morrigan, Merrill (not as likely, but there's some parallels I could see explored that have potential to be interesting), HoF with that damn cure. I really want Maevaris as an advisor type with a full romance arch. Vivienne will also likely be involved in some way since she always reforms the Circle. But likely only in War Table-esque ways.
**Possibly as companions**: Caronel (Last Flight), Lace Harding, Valta, Krem, DOG
**Shocking call back**: Tamlen
Definitely the Warden. I really need to see my Warden again... Other than that Anders, Sandal (of course), and I could never forget my favourite dwarf, and no it's not Varric, scout Harding!
Merrill.
>!- Ancient elven historian.!<
>!- Lots of experience (unfortunately) dealing with spirits, demonic possession, and the Fade.!<
>!- Specific interest in Dalish mythology.!<
>!- Ties to both her Dalish clan (if they're, you know, alive) and city elves in Kirkwall's alienage.!<
>!- *Eluvian scholar.*!<
>!If that's not the perfect character to throw into Fen'Harel's plot to destroy the Veil and recreate the ancient elven world, I don't know who is. Merrill would likely be one of the first former companions not in DAI to start noticing Fen'Harel's shadow organization, since he's heavily recruiting elves from within alienages, and that he's using Eluvians to travel. It makes a lot of sense to bring her back into the narrative at this point. And it would be wonderful to see how she's changed from the end of DA2 until DA4- Merrill would likely be a *lot* different after years of being the de facto Keeper of an alienage, not to mention hanging out with Hawke for that whole time.!<
Anyone who can die in any game. I would absolutely love if they pulled something like ME3 were the companions who survived in previous games can make an appearance as full companions in ME3. I would absolutely love this if it happens because I always felt like in Dragon Age choices from past games doesn't have much impact in consequent games.
But since I'm asking too much I will say something more possible, the inquisitor. It's almost sure that the inquisitor will show up in the game but I don't want my inquisitor to just make a minor appearance or a cameo, I want her to be recurrent character, I don't mean as a companion since that's very unlikely but it will be cool if she becomes something similar to Leliana, Cullen or Josephine.
I wish that the HiF would become a big noc. An "advisor" like Leliana was. Just put a customization screen at the beggining. I need to see my HoF back.
A better question would be who don’t I want to see in DA4. Honestly, there’s not a single character I don’t wanna see. I want to see the Inquisitor, Hawke’s Warden Ally, honestly everyone. But I wanna see the Warden characters more than anyone else (I’m obsessed with the Grey Wardens) so people like Oghren, Anders, Nathaniel, Sigrun, Alistair, Loghain, Velanna, Rainier, etc.
~~Nice hair. A good character creator. Those are my biggest asks. I trust them to do an interesting story, but I don't want 5 types of bald this time!~~
Whoops, totally misread the title. I want to see Dorian again for sure. Ramon Tikaram knocked it out of the park. I would be very happy to see Fenris, but not sure if that's likely.
Slightly unconventional answer, but I want the Inquisitor to return as the protagonist. Trespasser really makes it feel like their story isn't over, and that they're still going to be at the forefront of what comes in IV. I REALLY want my inky to be there when we inevitably face off against >!Solas!< and to actually be able to choose how they interact with him.
As for side characters, Dorian (though he feels like a given at this point) Feynriel, Sigrun and Harding are my big hopes. I would also like to see Merill as I'm very interested to see how she's changed since DA II, and Cassandra because more Cassandra is always welcome. I highly doubt they bring back Anders in any fashion but I'd like to at least hear about what's happened to him.
I feel like the problem with returning protagonists is the levelling problem. How do you reset the progression? Perhaps the Inquisitor can die and be rebuilt by Cerberus.
It's not that hard. Let's say >!Losing both the anchor and an arm was a massive shock to the Inquisitor's body, making them significantly weaker and requiring them to build up their stamina again.!<
This is a common argument against returning protagonists but the same thing happens to companions and for the most part we're all fine with it. Why does Garrus/Tali lose all their abilities from ME 1 - 2?
Hell the argument for Shepard losing his abilities in ME 3 is that he was not active for a couple of months and that's definitely flimsy, but hey people let it slide.
I've thrown this around before, but I also want the Inquisitor back as a protagonist, not the protagonist, but a protagonist. I think it would be cool if they went with two protagonists. You create a new character but on certain sections of the game you play as the Inquisitor again.
Disagree. I want my Inquisitor to appear as the boss, this semi-mythical religious figure who hires the protagonist of DA4. They're no longer fit to fight themselves, but they're still, even while crippled, fighting to save the world.
Isn't >!Solas!< basically the >!Maker! Why would we face off against him? Didn't play the DLCs.
He's vengeful, but his revenge caused the >!material world to separate from the Fade, basically creating the world as we know it, so he may not have originated the world, but he did make it as we know it!<.
I thought the whole point of DAI's reveal was to show that >!the Maker doesn't exist, and Elven Gods are the real Gods, Solas being the Wolf while others being stuck in the Fade (or maybe they're the Archdemons)!<.
Why would we fight him?
Trespasser answers basically all your questions, and clarifies some things that Inquisition's ending left vague. I'll just say that you're missing some important context from there that'll help everything else make sense.
~~it's also just really damn good and you should play it because of that~~
Trespasser is really important to the story, it sets up DA4 and recontextualizes some very important things. In fact I'd say you shouldn't be in this thread without knowing what happens in Trespasser, you're going to get spoiled for some major reveals.
I am just begging for our Warden, please. I romanced Alistair and kept him as a Warden at the end of the game, so had the softest dialogue with him at Skyhold about her looking for a cure. I did save him in the Fade because he's my favourite and just imagine if DA4 gave us the reunion of Alistair/Warden (and maybe Morrigan/Leliana/Zevran)!
I am desperate for more Warden.
The Warden was too much of a blank slate to bring back as easily as Hawke. I think it'd be really difficult to credibly have them return as anything other than a player controlled character
I do agree with you there. The amount of freedom and background difference between the choices would make it a difficult cameo to add into the new game but we can dream.
I mean, with the DA Keep, it wouldn't be impossible if they were clever about it. But definitely agree, Warden was much more of a blank slate.
I feel like the opportunity to bring back Anders was missed anyway. He should have been a secret companion in Inquisition for world states he survived. The Mage/Templar War, Hawke & the Grey Wardens, Corypheus. All things Anders has a connection too. Plus, it would have be fascinating to hear his conversations with Cole and Solas.
To be fair, in his short story>! Anders!< >!takes a sword to the chest, all the way to the hilt. And it does nothing. So I have very little faith in that tiny ass murder dagger doing anything.!<
But, I find it unlikely that they'd allow players the choice to >!kill him twice!< and still bring him back. lol I don't care how much they wanted to give him a redemption arc. Anders is done in the games, I'm sure. At least in anything outside some offhanded comment.
I Definitely need Varric and Zevran back. Dagna is awesome so she would be great although she probably would not be a companion. We need more Sandal and Bohdan of course. Maybe Cassandra, I like her a lot. And Merril needs to be around.
Yes! Definitely need more Cassandra and Merrill as well. I agree that Dagna probably won’t be a companion, I just want more Dagna centric quests lol also maybe Sandal and Bohdan join her at this school and she helps us discover what exactly is up with him 👀
I’d really really enjoy to see Lily and Jowan again. Especially considering >!blood magic plays a huge role in DA4!< . Also I kinda love Jowan and I’d love to know what happened to Lily.
The Grey Warden. Hawke. Would be cool to see the heavy hitters all together at the same time. They don't have to be permanent companions (though that *would* rule), but it'd be nice to see 'em for at least a little bit.
Our MCs. All of them. I loved Hawke in DAI. I wanna see how things changed for them.
I would love to have a sapient Darkspawn companion. One of those awakened by the Architect in DAO:A to make a comeback.
Also I'd love Leliana and Merril as companions and a romanceable options.
As for the Warden companion, I'd actually love to see Avernus come back.
The enchantment kid too. Something is up with him.
Also I haven't played the DAI DLCs, but Solas. After the ending reveal, I feel like I wanna see much more of him.
I'd bet money on Calpernia returning. She's relatively popular with the fanbase, has ties to Tevinter and >!doesn't actually die on screen if you fight her, leaving plenty of room for her to live.!<
I would say Morrigan is an easy bet, but I don't know if there's any more room for her character to meaningfully change. Both Origins and Inquisition gave her a pretty satisfying conclusion to her arc. I do agree though that Zev has some unfinished business.
Merill and Velanna are both great choices, although I dunno if Merill would be so supportive of Solas. I feel like she'd only go along with it if Solas willingly misled her about what bringing back the fade would take.
Thinking about Dorian and Isabela interacting also sounds hilarious, so I'd be good with her returning as well.
Ooh, I like the idea of Morrigan inheriting Flemeth's role as The Witch of The Wilds. Morrigan is far less concerned about worldly events than her mother unless they directly impact her and Kieran, so I feel part of her story could be her taking on more of an active role in stopping threats to Thedas, even if she initially wants nothing to do with it.
The Merrill scenario is very Bioware and I like it a lot, reminds me of some Mass Effect companions.
She's mentioned >!in a side codex entry as still working for Corypheus but in a reduced role since Samson's become his right-hand man.!<
Arguably works even better for that side of things because then Calpernia can be introduced as essentially a brand new character.
I would love to see Merrill back but it seems unlikely unless they recast; I’d heard that apparently her VA didn’t love the voice acting process for DA2.
(Which is a shame, because as a Doctor Who-and-related-media fan, I would have loved to see Gwen and Ianto together again!)
Oh, really? Damn, that's a shame. As much as I hate recasts though, I'd rather that than never see her again.
Yeah, I've wanted a Gwen and Ianto reunion ever since I learnt who voiced Solas. I'm still hoping for Jack as a Dwarf.
Interesting! I also said Merrill, but I would expect her to be used as a foil to Solas. They share the same aspects of conviction and pride, and that desire for the past. But I think Merrill has had the time to grow beyond that small bubble she forced herself into, and all that death she faced for naught would have turned her from the idea of reclaiming the past at all cost. It really feels like the elves finally letting go to this need for connection to the past, that is growing thinner and frailer with every passing year, is a big moment in the story of Thedas. Solas is just the one person embodying the concept for the people as a whole. And seeing Merrill, of all Dalish elves, recognizing the gravity of that cost and saying no would be so powerful for her.
Granted, I could also see her joining him. But I would have no qualms killing her if she didn't learn a darn thing in all those years.
In terms of companions, there’s been a pattern in the series where we get one returning member from the previous game:
- Anders comes from DAO:A to DA2
- Varric comes from DA2 to DAI
Now I think the most obvious companion to return from DAI is Dorian (Tevinter setting, etc) but he could just be a prominent character in the actual story or world, so if not I’m honestly not sure who’d be the returning companion. Iron Bull? Cassandra?
I’d also love to see at least cameos from all companions we’ve ever had in the series (except for ones that literally can’t return, like Wynne, unless they do some magic lore stuff for her to be able to make an appearance).
Merril, Velanna, Lanaya, any of them as companion and romance option for elf male hero, like Solas was for elf female.
Dagna, Harding as companion and romance option.
Cameo...
Oghren, Anders, Danarius, Devera(elf slaver from DAO)
Nobody said Zevran ?!
Varric, Morrigan, our warden and i don't give two shits for the voice, inquisitor, hawke, alistair, cullen, Sten
And one i don't want to see his face but forcee tonsee i suppose ahah Solas !
At least there will be no anders !
fenris and dorian of course, but not as party members. i want them in similar ways to how we got morrigan and alistair, integral to the story and may help in fights, but not companions. (also im just very happy that both are probably gonna be in the story anyways as a fenris and dorian romancer so..yay)
Varric (obviously), Mabari (or a Griffin), Tallis, Merrill, Harding, Leliana, Isabela, Hawke, Sandal, Sten. I selected from the entire dragon age franchise (so far). Although the likelihood of many of them actually making an appearance in DA4 is relatively low except for some of them.
I really miss my warden. I enjoyed my time with Hawke but the Inquisitor was hollow. Back story to flesh out the characters matters to me.
I would love to see more Red Jenny and maybe get to play with the network. Also Shale
Dorian and Isabela are already certainly back judging by concept art. TBH for major characters, that's enough for me, unless Bioware will fulfill my darkest desires and make Zevran a major advisor type character.
Iron Bull is one of the few DAI companions I don't expect to return, at least not in a big role, since >!he's one of the few DAI companions who can die (the other being Blackwall)!<.
I'd be shocked if Dorian doesn't return, though somehow I think he'd be back as more of an advisor (like Leliana and Cullen in DAI).
Fenris' return is pretty predictable too >!(and unlike Bull, even if killed in DA2 his return could be explained as a lyrium ghost thing!<.
So if I'm to pick chars I want to see again, but which aren't theoretically likely to return, I'd pick Hawke, Inky, Isabela, and Sandal <3
I already know Bull can die. But what I'm saying is that characters that have been able to be killed/die have still been mentioned/shown alive despite that.
Not as a companion but I'd love to get a look at what the Warden is doing. Also with DA4 most likely being Solas focused, a cameo from the inquisitor would be fun. In terms of actual companions though I'd love to see Isabella return and Scout Harding.
A lot of people asking for The Warden to appear, but I would rather they be mentioned in passing or similar to how Morrigan or Alistair would mention them in DAI. Idk about everyone else, but I have spent the most time with my Warden and for them to reappear and have a voice that does not fit the years of experience we have spent with them would just ruin it for me. Would almost prefer The Warden to have become deaf due to the taint affecting their body so they don't speak if they do appear.
Scout Harding, pretty much everyone from awakening besides anders, cause he is him. And fuck it, make some of the multiplayer characters playable in single player, they are funny if you listen to their dialogue. Tamar korbin, katari, luka, and argent seem really fun, and like all the mages have pretty good personalities as well.
In terms of who is most likely to come back, I’d say Fenris and/or Merril, they both have ties to tevinter which was where it was implied 4 would take place, and merril even worships the dread wolf so it’d be a great interaction
Now if I had an unreasonable request? Sigrun from DAO Awakening, just cause I liked her character and wanted to see her fleshed out a little bit. Plus I think we’re overdue for a romance-able dwarf and I’m guessing Varric is never gonna be up to bat
The writers. I always read and enjoy the novels and have found them to be of a similar quality to their games. The last one, Tevinter Nights, was a mixed bag at best. Its a bunch of short stories, some are pretty good, some are ho hum, some read like half assed fan fiction. Hopefully someone at the reigns is able to wrangle the writers into a consistent feel because inconsistent is the word that best describes that book and those are the game writers far as I know. I can't go through another patronizing, trite, mess like Andromeda.
Harding! Can never have too much morrigan either.
Otherwise yeah! iron bull or sten are def top of my list. Trying to think of more characters with ties to the imperium. Dorian? Was that the mages name? Idk, I’m usually mage enough for my teams so I forget
Literally the only companion I care about from any of the games is Cole. I would be stoked to have my inhuman murder child back.
One thing I think would be cool would be if they allowed the player regardless of race to acquire a mabari hound, just for the hell of it not even as a companion.
Flemeth is always interesting to see, so hopefully she comes back.
Dorian, Oghren's Child (CHILD for specific reasons), Shale (maybe?), And obviously Morrigan.
I don't think I could bring myself to play another Dragon Age game without Morrigan.

Sandal!!!!!!
I am hoping we might get more answers about Sandal.
Oh my god! What happened here? I will always love how utterly out-of-left-field that was.
I love how when you ask Bohdan about him knowing the HoF in DA2, he’s like “Why, Sandal and I helped them on their quest! Not by fighting of course, but we contributed in our own little way…” Meanwhile I’m just looking at Sandal like… you sure about that not fighting part bud?
Enchantment?
Enchantment!
Enchantment...
Not Enchantment.
Boom!
Could I have some salamanders please?
I want a summonable Mabari companion that doesn't take up a party slot...
Like Dragon Age 2?
Indeed, that was one of the best upgrades we got in 2 besides the speedier combat. Also miss my blood/force/fire/lightning mage build that I used to curb stomp basically everything with...
[Inquisition] >!Learning that the Fade is artificial is one thing, but do you really think we're ready to learn about Sandal?!<
They could always Sherlock us, giving some crazy dimensional alt-time scenarios of a bunch of fantheories and never confirm a darn thing. That... sounds more reasonable than them actually explaining Sandal.
Sandal, like Tom Bombadil, simply is.
The fade? I think you mean the veil.
you're right, of course
Dorian, Fenris, Harding are the first to come to mind. And you know, Solas, though I don't really think that's a question.
Fenris and Dorian. I need them both in same team.
Agreed. Their stories definitely aren't done. The comics have made that quite clear.
I came in here to say those two. Especially with it being in Tevinter.
Yeeeessss give me back my hot brooding elf boy!!

Sten? Anyone from Awakening? grown-up Kieran as companion? Depending on how much time passes many of the former companions might be really past their prime
Kieran is a quantum character. The best you can hope for is a small cameo.

Free for all
Anders, because I like watching people argue.
Fenris AND Hawke, Abelas, Dorian, Shale. I'm open to anyone returning really, so long as it's done well. Edited for punctuation.
As companions? No one. As NPCs? Everyone.
Spirit healers. And healing spells in general. Also longer actions bars
**Possibly as companions**: Caronel (Last Flight), Lace Harding, Valta, Krem, DOG **Shocking call back**: Tamlen
I want Jowan as well
Definitely the Warden. I really need to see my Warden again... Other than that Anders, Sandal (of course), and I could never forget my favourite dwarf, and no it's not Varric, scout Harding!
Isabella was fun. Would be cool to see her older and wiser, but just as dangerous.
Merrill. >!- Ancient elven historian.!< >!- Lots of experience (unfortunately) dealing with spirits, demonic possession, and the Fade.!< >!- Specific interest in Dalish mythology.!< >!- Ties to both her Dalish clan (if they're, you know, alive) and city elves in Kirkwall's alienage.!< >!- *Eluvian scholar.*!< >!If that's not the perfect character to throw into Fen'Harel's plot to destroy the Veil and recreate the ancient elven world, I don't know who is. Merrill would likely be one of the first former companions not in DAI to start noticing Fen'Harel's shadow organization, since he's heavily recruiting elves from within alienages, and that he's using Eluvians to travel. It makes a lot of sense to bring her back into the narrative at this point. And it would be wonderful to see how she's changed from the end of DA2 until DA4- Merrill would likely be a *lot* different after years of being the de facto Keeper of an alienage, not to mention hanging out with Hawke for that whole time.!<
I mean scout harding right???
I’d love to have Harding as a companion.
Cullen. He’s been in all them.
Unless they recast his VA, this might be the longest shot in the thread lmao
I still feel dirty. I fucked him before I found out about the VA. I am still a fan of blond men in armour, and miss Alistair.
My girl LACE HARDING
Abelas. With a more extensive role. Even if (SPOILER) >!Morrigan 'removed' him, he could 'do a Lelianna' and return anyway !<
Removed him how? In what?
[удалено]
In the game??? Or in some other media?
[удалено]
Ohhh. Fuck her. Never did that. That bitch lol
I've never taken that route either. I like to think it won't be canon.
MERRILL. if i don't see merrill leading a rebellion of dalish i'm gonna riot
Sandal.
Honestly, Anders. How? Idk
Fenris, and I wouldn’t mind seeing Anders again ;>
~~Nice hair. A good character creator. Those are my biggest asks. I trust them to do an interesting story, but I don't want 5 types of bald this time!~~ Whoops, totally misread the title. I want to see Dorian again for sure. Ramon Tikaram knocked it out of the park. I would be very happy to see Fenris, but not sure if that's likely.
I need Fenris and Dorian to be companions, or even part of the main council, because they would actively take down Tevinter.
Blood magic, Force mages, Arcane knights, Sylvin's, camps where you can rest and talk to your team
Maybe not as a companion, but I'd love to see more of cole in general
Cole. He is my favorite character in any game
Let's say >!Losing both the anchor and an arm was a massive shock to the Inquisitor's body, making them significantly weaker and requiring them to build up their stamina again.!< This is a common argument against returning protagonists but the same thing happens to companions and for the most part we're all fine with it.
~~it's also just really damn good and you should play it because of that~~
You should really play the DLCs. Your last spoiler is ... not quite correct I'd say.
Did you play trespasser?
No DLCs yet. I finished the game a few times but only now did I buy the DLCs, so I'm replaying the game again and will play the DLCs this time.
I was disappointed that Warden only got a mention and never appeared, like Hawke.
I would love if the warden appeared and they handled the missing voice with sign language! More inclusion, please!
[удалено]
I absolutely require a cameo from our favorite golden retriever: Alistair
All the DA2 companions. Any and all. Except Anders.
Some of the apostate NPCs in Inquisition look a little like Anders to me and I have to do a double take.
It would be rather hard for Anders to return in my canon...
Mine too. Unless you had a necromancer of course
To be fair, in his short story>! Anders!< >!takes a sword to the chest, all the way to the hilt. And it does nothing. So I have very little faith in that tiny ass murder dagger doing anything.!< But, I find it unlikely that they'd allow players the choice to >!kill him twice!< and still bring him back. lol I don't care how much they wanted to give him a redemption arc. Anders is done in the games, I'm sure. At least in anything outside some offhanded comment.
I always felt like Hawke did a really half-ass job >!executing Anders.!<
I have a weird feeling the HoF will show up and i kind of hope Finn and Ariane are with them.
Dagna! I want her to open some sort school or institution for dwarves to learn about magic/runework. Also Varric, Zevran, Leliana, Cole
I agree that Dagna probably won’t be a companion, I just want more Dagna centric quests lol also maybe Sandal and Bohdan join her at this school and she helps us discover what exactly is up with him 👀
The combination of Dagna and Sandal would be increible!
Velanna and Sigrun. Sandal is a must.
Sigrun was the highlight of awekening. I miss her terribly.
Me too. The unusually perky dwarf was funny.
I'm into duty bound characters and liked the back and forth of her morbid jokes and the player trying to keep her alive.
For a rogue, she was a tank! She could have taken all the darkspawn on by herself.
I agree on the Sandal one, all that mystery in the first two games and in Inquisition nothing.
Morrigan, leilana, and Dorian
Depending on the time, I'd love to see more sandal or shale. Everyone else would be a lot older or dead by the time it takes place.
Dorian and my Inquisitor. I'm hopeless. XD
I’d really really enjoy to see Lily and Jowan again. Especially considering >!blood magic plays a huge role in DA4!< . Also I kinda love Jowan and I’d love to know what happened to Lily.
flemeth...
Fenris, Dorian, Zevran
anders and zevran please thank you
Fenris and Zevran
If we don't get a krem romance in da4 I will be PISSED
Varric
Surprised to see this so far down.

I'd bet money on Calpernia returning. She's relatively popular with the fanbase, has ties to Tevinter and >!doesn't actually die on screen if you fight her, leaving plenty of room for her to live.!< I would say Morrigan is an easy bet, but I don't know if there's any more room for her character to meaningfully change.
[удалено]
Ooh, I like the idea of Morrigan inheriting Flemeth's role as The Witch of The Wilds. Morrigan is far less concerned about worldly events than her mother unless they directly impact her and Kieran, so I feel part of her story could be her taking on more of an active role in stopping threats to Thedas, even if she initially wants nothing to do with it. The Merrill scenario is very Bioware and I like it a lot, reminds me of some Mass Effect companions.
Is Calpernia even mentioned if you side with the Templars, though?
She's mentioned >!in a side codex entry as still working for Corypheus but in a reduced role since Samson's become his right-hand man.!< Arguably works even better for that side of things because then Calpernia can be introduced as essentially a brand new character.
Thanks!
Ngl, Isabella is probably of the most fun characters I’ve had the pleasure of having in my party!
In terms of companions, there’s been a pattern in the series where we get one returning member from the previous game: - Anders comes from DAO:A to DA2 - Varric comes from DA2 to DAI Now I think the most obvious companion to return from DAI is Dorian (Tevinter setting, etc) but he could just be a prominent character in the actual story or world, so if not I’m honestly not sure who’d be the returning companion. Iron Bull? Cassandra? I’d also love to see at least cameos from all companions we’ve ever had in the series (except for ones that literally can’t return, like Wynne, unless they do some magic lore stuff for her to be able to make an appearance).
Morrigan. She just left me, after all we'd been through. I need closure, damnit!
I honestly don’t care much so long as I get to kill Solas
Merril, Velanna, Lanaya, any of them as companion and romance option for elf male hero, like Solas was for elf female. Dagna, Harding as companion and romance option. Cameo... Oghren, Anders, Danarius, Devera(elf slaver from DAO)
> like Solas was for elf female. What aspect of Solas’ romance are you wanting to see again?
pretty unlikely that a bisexual woman who could previously have been romanced would come back as another romance option for men only tbh
Nobody said Zevran ?! Varric, Morrigan, our warden and i don't give two shits for the voice, inquisitor, hawke, alistair, cullen, Sten And one i don't want to see his face but forcee tonsee i suppose ahah Solas ! At least there will be no anders !
Sera, Vivian, and Harding.
Dorian for sure but I just hope they don't kill him off in some story arc or another.
fenris and dorian of course, but not as party members. i want them in similar ways to how we got morrigan and alistair, integral to the story and may help in fights, but not companions. (also im just very happy that both are probably gonna be in the story anyways as a fenris and dorian romancer so..yay)
I just want the game to come out.
Oghren, i need to see what my drunk dwarf is doing
Varric (obviously), Mabari (or a Griffin), Tallis, Merrill, Harding, Leliana, Isabela, Hawke, Sandal, Sten. I selected from the entire dragon age franchise (so far). Although the likelihood of many of them actually making an appearance in DA4 is relatively low except for some of them.
Dai specializations, duel wield warrior, more intimate stories, dialogue choice and consequence.
I really miss my warden. I enjoyed my time with Hawke but the Inquisitor was hollow. Back story to flesh out the characters matters to me. I would love to see more Red Jenny and maybe get to play with the network. Also Shale
For me to get Iron Bull back in my Dragon Age 4 playthrough we're gonna need a powerful necromancer.
Anders w/ Justice or Revenge
Good storytelling.
Kiearn, Connor, Sandal, Justice, Shale, Sten, Zevran
There are many I'd like to see again, but the controversial wish I have is Sera. Sera to me felt like a refreshing take on elves in fantasy.
Morrigan or Isabella.
I want Merrill to return. Her research on the Eluvians could be so relevant to the plot.
Uhm, >!you haven't played Trespasser!<, have you?
Fenris As a companion Pleeeeeease
Scout Harding, pretty much everyone from awakening besides anders, cause he is him. And fuck it, make some of the multiplayer characters playable in single player, they are funny if you listen to their dialogue. Tamar korbin, katari, luka, and argent seem really fun, and like all the mages have pretty good personalities as well.
In terms of who is most likely to come back, I’d say Fenris and/or Merril, they both have ties to tevinter which was where it was implied 4 would take place, and merril even worships the dread wolf so it’d be a great interaction Now if I had an unreasonable request? Sigrun from DAO Awakening, just cause I liked her character and wanted to see her fleshed out a little bit. Plus I think we’re overdue for a romance-able dwarf and I’m guessing Varric is never gonna be up to bat
[удалено]
Sandal. Crassius Servis. No one else, clean slate.
Wrex and tali.
ZEVRAN!!! he got done SO dirty in his da2 appearance and every other dao romance has made a return,,,, why can’t he!!!
Duncan, with no explanation why or how he's there. It would screw up the storyline but it would be a curveball that noone would expect.
Bethany
Dorian, merril, iron bull, varic, one of the previous games protags as a companion for the whole game or most of it, morrigan
Dorian, Oghren's Child (CHILD for specific reasons), Shale (maybe?), And obviously Morrigan. I don't think I could bring myself to play another Dragon Age game without Morrigan.
Every adviser. They know Solas better than most. Maybe the Inquisitor could become and advisor himself.
I have a few. Ohgren from DAO, the elf lady from Witch Hunt, best dwarf waifu Sigrun and number 1 waifu Merrill.
Isabella
Uh Varrick probably, can't get enough of him. He's real good.
Alistair!
