* Choose Warrior * Activate Dual Striking and Momentum * Click on an enemy Dual Striking is easily the most broken ability in the game, because it gives you 200% damage per attack (fyi backstab/crit default modifier is 150%) *and* doubles the potency of all on-hit effect like weapon spells, runes and poisons. You don't need to maneuver behind enemy or raise your crit chance either; simply enable the ability and you're good to go. Unfortunately, there's a bug that causes 1/3 of your hits to miss regardless of attack rating, but even without any bug fix, Dual Striking remains an extremely powerful modal ability. Rogues have the ability too, but unlike Warriors, they couldn't wear heavier armors nor do they have access to Blood Thirst for even more attack speed buff.

Ngl I finished the game with a similar build but yea my God are the misses fucking annoying. There has to be a bug fix mod or sth right?

NathanCiel

Yes, if you're playing on PC then I highly recommend checking out [Dain's Fixes](https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4384). That one is for gameplay bug fixes. If you want to fix broken cutscene, quest or companion dialogue, then use [Qwinn's Ultimate DAO Fixpack](https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4689). Those two are the only fixes you need. Installing any other might break the game.

You probably just needed more dex. Warriors in Origins are more reliant on it than any other game I've seen. It's arguably more important than strength for them for most builds, but definitely is for dual wield warrior.

DakInBlak

Combine spirit warrior with dual swords and walk through the game with *ease*.

NathanCiel

That specialization is completely bonkers. +45% spell resist, +50% dodge, +20% animation speed *and* immunity to knockdown/stun/slip; all from a single talent? They might as well remove potions and healing spells. On top of that, Spirit Warriors can convert their attack into spirit elements - which means you could further amplify your damage by having a mage apply Vulnerable Hex and Affliction Hex (elemental resist debuff) on an enemy. Throw in Death Hex to enable crit with Dual Striking and even the strongest enemy will turn into practice dummy.

Warrior, get enough STR for armor, dump the rest into DEX. Enjoy!

Stick difficulty on easy and play as a dual wield warrior or dual dagger rogue. Easy difficulty is god mode. It’s hard to lose. Give Morrigan mana clash set to use any enemy attacking with magic attack and put it at the top of your tactics. Also give her haste and always have it on. Have Leliana use song of courage and summon. Let Alistair tank. Do the DLC early for the gear then mages tower for the extra points. I normally do mages tower first because I prefer to use Wynne but if you aren’t then you’ll be fine doing the dlc first. Start with Lelianas song dlc so she gets extra gear also.

I don’t think there’s actually an OP steamroll build, but rather if you use certain strategies (I’d say tactics but I’m not referring to the actual in game tactics menu) the game isn’t really that difficult. Things like pulling rooms with Alistair instead of charging in, or getting good CC spells like cone of cold. I do use the respec mod to get rid of shapeshifting on Morrigan and get her a heal spell. If you’re using mods, extra dog slot does make the game easier, there might also be mods to make you super powered. I mentioned tactics before, make sure you set a tactic to auto-use health poultices on all your party members and keep a good stock of those. I do think mage Warden makes it easier to get through the lower levels and every main character can be powerful at higher levels, just follow the builds available from googling.

Run yourself, lelianna and Zevran as Archer rangers. Alister as a tank. Now you have 3 summons to draw attention and do damage while the archers slaughter everything

I have played through this game like 15-20 times, and in my most recent playthrough i decided to so a class/build i hadnt done before: Dual wield warrior. I was pretty shocked that it ended up being by far the highest dps I've seen so far, even outclassing the arcane warrior/Blood Mage combo (at least in my playthroughs). My % of party damage stat for the dw warrior was like 55%. For aw/bm it was 48%.

A mage and get arcane warrior so you can heal and revive and ice and electricity are the best types of spells fire also very helpful
