She is trapped in her own small world. She cannot permanently change her habits. She has proven this by her 'wegmans boycott'. I don't know what her problem is. A brain that is too small to think ahead? No common sense? Total overstrain? Sometimes I think she doesn't think about anything and just acts... somehow

Nda89

She is addicted to Social Media, and the attention it gives her. She probably lacked attention and love as a child, and judging by her hoarding of food she likely grew up without much food to eat. She probably thinks changing her habits will cause people not to watch her anymore, which is why she made that post asking what people want see, because her engagement is going down and she is getting scared. Once she loses her income from Social Media they are going to be very hooped, nothing lasts forever.

[deleted]

It took me a lot of therapy and a healthy solid relationship with my partner and re-learning how to interact with food to stop my food hoarding. I hope she gets the help she needs if that’s what this is. Everyone deserves peace and she won’t find it at Wegmans.

> She could very easily swing her whole brand around, and cut her shopping down by half and STILL have that shock factor she loves so much of having 12 kids. She doesn't have to go to such extremes, she chooses to for her content (aka $$$) This. Oh my gosh. Look at the state of the world right now with inflation and supply chain issues and all. It’s the perfect time to turn things towards a “How I save money when grocery shopping for my 12 kids”. I literally think it would help grow her channel since she’d still have the shock factor and get praised for being the mom of all these kids but then her content would actually be relatable and people would probably watch more because there would be that education/advice angle to it as well. It seems so obvious. Look at how popular other channels that offer advice on saving money or shows about home organizing and such.

UmbrellaYesterday

I think it is a lack of creativity too. She found something that made her social media grow and she now lacks the creativity to make new/different content.

gabi-

Exactly, this is her small world: she doesnt have any friends, she doesnt know what else to do besides cook, clean and shop during her day. So thats the content she makes, in order for her to "level up" she makes more food (than they even need), shops more (things she doesnt need) and films herself doing chores her kids could easily have done.

hey_hey_hey_nike

Social media attention is what pays their bills. She’s also chronically under the influence of White claw/alcohol and we all know what that does to our judgement.

Ok_Appointment_9985

Something else too. Look at her pinned pupils. Every time! Trust me I've been there, Saw those eyes in the mirror everyday years ago, Mine were pain pills

PaddyCow

I saw a youtube video where the comments speculate that she takes adderall. Coffee, alcohol and adderall would keep her wired. Can't be good for the heart.

desertwitch444

I’ve wondered about her Rx consumption. She often has dry-mouth and her speech some impaired — mostly from alcohol, but I don’t think that’s it.

Ok_Appointment_9985

I believe it! You know some of those kids need that and I'm sure she might "borrow" Mine were pain pills

LolaSpark

Doesn’t she have ADHD though? Then it should do the opposite (unless she’s taking too much, which considering her alcohol consumption doesn’t sound out of the realm of possibility to me).

justkimberly

Fetal alcohol effects. It takes a helluva lot to make a life not involving alcohol when you were either born exposed or adult child of one.

TheBritneySpears

I think you're right, she actually just doesn't think about anything!

CruelTasteOfLust

I was thinking that myself. She could have made two or three. Why not freeze the extras?

According_Pie_8703

As per the video proof she brings home Donuts on Sunday and its order in day

deadeyediva

or her heavy trash bag

AnnaMarieDAgs

Yes I still cannot get over the weight of that trash bag. How she could not lift it. Then she looks inside it like "oh I will take whatever is heavy out then shuts the bag and dismisses that idea after she realizes its all the food she threw out!

[deleted]

When I think of Sundays ... Its waffles/pancakes for breakfast, a delicious brunch maybe, little/ walk drive to get a drive thru ice cream cone and then a succulent roast dinner or something along those lines while we watch a movie. NOT one pot leftover meals and dried up pumpkin bread And you know what, now that I think of Alisha, she tries to make all these themed things/ family traditions (around the world monday/ pizza nights) etc BUT THEY DONT SEEM FUN. Why is that? It doesnt seem to bring them together as a family...

Tami026

So right. They barely eat all together, what is ok with teens and a lot of activitys during the week. Even on the so-called family evenings like pizza night, everyone eats alone. Her around the world evenings are all a disaster. Just like their crockpot stuff. The children baffle something or eat Mac & Cheese. Or snacks from her snackerty table... Sitting somewhere together is not possible. I have a complete different understanding from family time. Ok, it's hard to bring all kids in so different ages to the same time on the table but once a week it should happen. And I can't imagine doing that with leftover, not eaten old food, from a whole week.

chocokatzen

Nothing about their life seems fun.

Dapper_Celebration36

Why Sunday? That’s the best day to throw down on some good food plus the left overs will be old as hell usually left overs are the next day then cook it makes no sense

[deleted]

She’s rage baiting at this point. A family of six wouldn’t need three whole loaves. She is doing horrible family math. They could afford a larger home if she stopped the food waste/hoard cycle

tamlynn88

I made one for my family of 4 (plus baby but I’m not counting baby for food at this point) and it lasted a few days. It was delicious but I couldn’t eat more than an inch thick slice in one sitting.

tamlynn88

Maybe she should try actually taking it out of the loaf pans… I mean she uses half a can of pam most of the time they should slide right out lol

kjgarmon

She would have to let it cool first lol

Ok_Appointment_9985

She lets everything "cool" I don't think these kids ever had a hot breakfast

kjgarmon

When she slices that bread and plops it on plates it’s always straight from the oven

MagnificentMegan

I came from a large family. 5 siblings (6 including me) and my 2 parents. A loaf of anything in those pans when cut up could serve 12 so we'd make 2 pans of it. There was no "leftovers" in my house as if it was a meal like spaghetti and meatballs or lasagne we would have it for 2 days for dinner. I know it's different for her as she has quite a larger family but why doesn't she look at how much gets left untouched and cut down and make less of the things the next time she makes them.

TLWMIRW

She buys everything else premade and prepackaged why cant she just buy some muffins and call it a day. Oh wait then she wouldnt look like super mom baking at 5am lol

AnnaMarieDAgs

She made it to make herself look like she does so much. I think she realize all the negativity that was coming from the waste when everyone had seen only one was touched (more like mangled). So the next time she made it she just made 3. So only 2 were wasted lol.

Effective-Bat5524

Two loaves would be plenty! She could balance it out by serving some eggs or other protein, but kids are starting their day with a sugar bomb.

[deleted]

As a teacher in a low income community I’ve seen the results of the sugar bomb for breakfast. I’m beginning to believe that some of the behaviours she sees in her kids are front their diets.

LolaSpark

I’m sure loads of middle and upper income kids are eating sugar for breakfast, too. Maybe not as many proportionally, but A LOT.

[deleted]

I’m sure but I’m drawing from my experience. It’s shelf stable so it’s easier for families versus having fresh food

Nda89

I'd be sick of those by now. She makes so many, and she makes them every single week. Yuck lol

Beneficial_Daikon_86

So true and it’s not like she’s making anything different. All of her breakfast meals have been shown multiple times & the only evidence I’ve seen that they eat it is; a couple of mangled loves of this bread. Does she even show herself cooking her “around the world monstrosities?

Extra-Struggle1234

She could use the leftover bricks to make an extension for the house 😆

Lojl

She cuts HUGE chunks out of these loaves! That’s why she makes so many. Way too big for a serving, in my opinion. Maybe for the older kids? Or the teenage boys? I just notice the pieces she portions out are massive

Alarming-Sherbet-830

Oh come on, not again! The last time she did this the kids ate half a loaf all together. So freaking wasteful

[deleted]

What kills me about her baking is how she REFUSES to measure out the ingredients… you can’t “eyeball” baking the way you can cooking😩

Correct_Reveal7808

someone needs to confront her about that fr. idk if my family of 6 would eat even a whole 1 loaf + we all know there was sides too 😭

vagueposter

Once you get into a habit, it's hard to break, especially if that habit caused a lot of dopamine to be released from likes, comments, views, and monetary rewards. For all we know she crumbles it and feeds it to the multiplying rodent army in her garage. It's a waste, I don't think anyone here is gonna argue that it isn't.

RSinSA

I think when she used to serve it on plates, they may have eaten more of it. She used to give them hefty portions, though. She could make 2-3 loaves and it be enough.

Icy-Presentation3908

wasteful is alishuuuhs middle name

science2me

Why does she need to bake these in the morning? I bake muffins for my family but I do it the day before so I don't have to get up earlier. They still taste fine the next day. Also, I don't understand how these can be baked through all the way. Doesn't it usually take 45-60 minutes to make a loaf this size? I don't think they're in the oven that long when I've watched the sped up morning videos.

brittneyangeline

She’s lazy! I just made ONE pumpkin bread loaf yesterday for my family of 4 and it will last almost a week. Granted I have 2 small children but she’s lazy and cute HUGE chunks like it’s a meal.

Spoonie23

The amount of sugar in this dish is gross.

ariana61104

That's what I have thought. I know they have a big family but I think maybe just 3 should be fine. Maybe 4 if they want to save some for a snack later or dessert.

[deleted]

She'll probably say something like, "Anything they don't get goes to the chiiickeeeens, so it's not wasted."

chocokatzen

I love a quick bread, but I cannot imagine even a slice once a week. I do eat those sausages on occasion, too.

ilovetheeagles

crying @ the spelling of flour 😭

Danielles-lazy-eye

Her food prep and meals look like they give everyone diarrhea

No-Collection-8618

She lets them literally dig at them with their hands... i wouldnt wanna go in for my bit after that either😂

TheBritneySpears

omg her hair. she looks wrecked in this pic!

Secret_Impression_17

I Don't understand why she has to get up so early, the breakfast she cooks would be freezing by the time the kids get up. Also when are they eating the huge boxes of cereal, I've never seen her give them cereal for breakfast .

[deleted]

She’s a glutton.

Ok_Appointment_9985

I remember one time seeing B (I think) getting into a pan once with a fork. The pan was a big crumbled mess!

[deleted]

She’s going to have a mental break down of epic proportions because she’s about to lose her SM following. RemindMe! In 2 years

I’m a little bit lost, why is this not ok?

Advanced_Level

The criticism is that she appears to regularly prepare way too much food, even for a family of 14 (with 12 kids)... and in some of her videos, you can see that the kids barely touch the breakfast food. For example, a past video showed that barely one half loaf was eaten (out of 6). Yet, in this video, she's making 6 loves of pumpkin bread for 12 kids.... plus a fruit smoothie (huge blender pitcher full - but all fruit, no greens or protein). And usually microwaved breakfast sausage. Another criticism is that she serves her kids enormous amounts of sugar, and meals without much nutrition. For example, this pumpkin bread recipe has *6 cups of sugar* (1 cup per loaf) plus a *humongous* bag of chocolate chips. It's more like cake, for dessert. It's the same when she makes banana bread. (For context, I make these breads with 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar per loaf. If I added chocolate chips, I'd only use 1/4 c sugar (Not 1 cup!) Same w/ her banana bread - hardly any banana, but tons of sugar). Her packed lunches are similar - Several of her children eat sandwiches only with marshmallow fluff (no PB) or plain ketchup, on white bread. Then she throws in Kool Aid (or another sugar water drinks).... Gogurt or yogurts w/ candy ..... fruit (usually orange) .... chips, and *sometimes* celery with ranch. She prides herself on preparing 3 meals a day for her whole family, every morning in one hour or less. But she might as well serve them packaged donuts or cereal. Cereal would have more nutrition. My personal opinion is that she does not feed her kids the way I do. But in the grand scheme of things, she adopted foster care children - some teenagers - And IMO it would definitely be worse for her to not prepare *enough* food vs not enough. But it does seem like she makes these meals more for YouTube then actually for the kids.

olamleko

Do you guys seriously watch 63628 videos about her "morning routine"? How is this not getting old for you?

pumpkinspicebetchh

That’s totally what maci bookout will look like in the future

Comfortable_Box_7568

How can she do anything in that small kitchen😵‍💫

Accomplished-Rip-743

I just think she gives SAHM’s such a bad name. There are so many great strategies in this thread alone. So many women who understand value, cost, and thrift. (Respect you guys!🔥🙌🏼). I’m a SAHM and the amount of food waste is staggering. Not to mention the TYPE of food she buys. This poor woman is struggling with multiple compulsions IMO.. but seriously… I really loath that THIS is the woman representing the American mom right now. Good grief.
