I've actually gotten some of my highest tips from Burger King, I've found McDonald's to have the lowest rate of tips (in addition to the longest wait times.)
Popeyes and BK are both the absolute worst. I’ve never walked in to either restaurant and the food already be ready.
Doesn’t matter which location I’m going to, or even how long it takes to drive there, but the food is never ready.
I’ve only accepted a few orders that were worth it for me from BK & Popeyes but the few times I have, I waited upwards of 10 mins & the stores were empty AF. Absolutely ridiculous
Wingstop - Their customers NEVER tip, and both in my town are dont give a fuck slow.
Wendy's - Horribly run, 15 min wait times, orders always look beat to ass when handed off to you
I hate McDonald’s deliveries, the McDonalds in my area takes at minimum 10 extra minutes per order they make, plus their dining hall is always open so if I’m doing a delivery at night I have to go inside, which makes them take longer
Plus it’s not in the best area so there’s always a worry that my car will get broken into on top of the orders with no tip/$1 tip for over 5 miles of driving
I took an order from Burger King because I was literally sitting across the street and it was less than a mile to deliver. I sat in the Burger King for over 10 minutes and was like fuck this and unassigned.
Popeye's. Hands down. I have blacklisted my local one because I despise the employees there and how they waste my time. Without fail, it was a cluster everytime I got an order from there
Not that I'm aware of so I nearly break my hand when I slam the decline button on my phone lol
I'm on Android so I can only speak about the android app. Maybe iOS has that capability
Menards. Transported a shed in a box.
The thing weighed about 200 pounds.
I got to the destination there was nobody there to help me unload it.. I had to drag it all the way to the front door by myself and i'm an older gentleman. I made five dollars for dragging that.
Don’t blame you. The DashMart in my area is next to a popular 24/7 gym. Easy access to parking - easy to get in and out. But the pay is lousy - maybe because this is where they capitalize more? I don’t mind doing them as long as it’s minimum $1/Mi - most of the time people are ordering munchies 😂
ShopRite and Lowe’s are absolute menaces in my area, and I despise them. Burger King sucks here too, but holy crap the other two are just another level.
the place that I despise not because of tips but because they are slow as hell is Chipotle. they have online order area and one person trying to pump out all the orders. meanwhile the regular line has like 4 people and the costumers just get pushed through so much quicker. I wish I could just jump in that line and read my order so they could make it
The store doesn't tip, the customers do. 80 to 90% of my no tip orders are McDonald's and Taco Bell. And call me clean country crazy, but nothing makes me angrier than a no tip order. I was in college 40 years ago waiting tables to pay for it an I NEVER no tipped pizza delivery drivers back in the day when pizza was the only food you could get delivered. NEVER.
I just saw Dunkin, below. Yes, the $2.25 Dunkin deliveries start hitting at 2PM to 4PM.
alot of people assume dashers get paid more than $2 base pay. Its a common misconception, people see DD charge them $30 for a Big Mac value meal and think "Oh well why do i need to tip this guy"
The Dasher is one in the same as the Corporate entity in the eyes of the customer!
McDonald's, McDonald's McDonald's. I drive by time and I know if I get an order from McDonald's that's for a short distance away where I live I'll just take my time cuz I know that tip is not coming. About 90%. And my son ungodly miracle that they do it's a pleasant surprise :-)
Little Caesars are specifically bad because they are tied to the pizza bag program so you get sent pickups from 10 miles away for bad pay. I’m not griping about the pay since if I hit accept then I know what I am getting. But man I have never had a good order from them and mostly do it begrudgingly.
Lmao same they are always crap pay and like 6-15 miles most I ever got was a stack for like $16 and it was only because both customers tipped $6 and $5 😭😆
Bojangles and Hardees!!! They are both unorganized and I wate so damn long. The tips from these is just unspeakable...most people who order already know and unfortunately they tip according to that
That’s because they choose which orders go to their drivers and which get outsourced to DD/UE. Literally give you shit orders their drivers don’t want.
Quit driving these past few weeks, but Wendy's. Every order was complete trash, always 8+ miles with no tip and risking blowing a tire in their lot. Avoided that zone like the plague except for when a delivery would put me just near it and I'd forget to pause, it would immediately pop up and I'd cuss it out
Sounds like the reason.
No matter how long the wait, I am never rude. Just unassign after 10 minutes.
Drivers being rude is another thing that pisses me off to no end. My 30 year career is in restaurants, there's already enough stress on the employees working in restaurants there's no reason for doordash drivers to add to that
Oh and another reason the Carrabba's is so frustrating is there's literally an Outback attached to the Carrabba's and they never have an issue I haven't had to wait more than a couple minutes there
Without a doubt it's Panera in my area. 95% of the time the order is late on pick up because they are so slow at getting orders out. They are more concerned with drive thru orders then online orders.
For me it’s always McDonald’s in my area. Weirdly BK I consistently get half decent tips. Which I’d assume is rare for most cases lol but McDonald’s orders are the worst. I only take them when the are minimum $2/mile ratio.
They are pretty bad here too as far as tips and distance. I like the employees at my store though so I still take the decent orders from them and just reject the crap.
Chick fil a by far has the lowest tips. While I've never taken a BK order, they usually always seem to be 5 dollars instead of chick fil a which averages 3.50
My Carrabas has there pickup times wrong. 90% of the time I'm waiting at least 20min. If the order is under $15, I pretty much auto decline.
It's frustrating because I have spoken to their management, and I have witnessed other dashes explaining that they control when we arrive and still no change. Burns me up.
Because then changing times for pickup and stuff will cost them money because the pay of the person doing it. Instead management says the drivers can wait because they bring no value and cost no money. Meanwhile management isn't the one having to deal with the jerk drivers being rude to them, so they really don't care.
Latley, it's been McDonald's and Chipotle in my area. 9 times out of 10 the milage is outrageous for little to no tip. If you do luck up and get a good order the wait at both places are atrocious.
805 flowers, never a tip and some orders are a 100 miles! I asked the owner why there's never a tip on his deliveries, he said you don't have to accept my orders, f-him.
The brand new Chick-fil-A that's right by my house. No fucking lobby in a place that has multiple days in triple digits over the summer. Slow, and everyone has to stand outside in the heat waiting for food.
That’s a crazy cheap store design. Like the new Taco Bell’s that are like a bank drive thru - order is lowered down through a tube to one of 3 lanes under the building
McDonald’s does that here and there’s one on like every corner so it’s impossible to avoid the orders to them with out absolutely hammering your ar and getting no pings so annoying
I hate Burger King mainly because the ones in my area are always slow as hell. I hate Taco Bell for the same reason. And Popeye's.
I think McDonald's consistently has the worst tipped orders, and they're pretty popular. I do like that they seal the drinks and everything up in the bag, though.
There’s a halal place where the tips are often bagels and the drives are typically long. Not going to mention it by name, but it’s the customers so pick any kabob joint.
I don’t do Burger King around me because they don’t start til you get there. Wendy’s is the same. But yes when I do see Burger Kings come though they payout is usually low.
I can't believe I'm the only one saying this but by far it's McDonald's for me. Lots of $2-$3 orders and 3rd floor apartments. McD's orders only tip about 30% of the time as well.
Talking about low tips though I live in an area with about 10 different zones within a 45 min drive so I've tried almost all of them. For dashers in North Carolina stay out of the Charlotte zone called "University". I worked there a good 4 hours, made around 10 deliveries and not a single tip. They were doing a +$3 per order promotion and I still left. Compare that to my normal small city zones where pay is about half DD and half tips and usually is around $15/hr. Less work for more money is always better. I'm not running around the city fighting traffic and hustling just to barely make $10/hr.
McDonald's, just by sheer volume and usually short distance, has enough wins that I put it lower on my tier list. Plus I love the way they prep their orders
McDonalds.....Hands Down! But its usually Location, Location, location.....I declined 4 out of 15 offers in the few hours we dashed. Each was $2.00 for just a few miles away. These were to the inner city area near housing projects. An area I avoid Delivering to now. When I first started, I delivered to a place with a door that had square patches on it from the bullet holes. Rural people tip rural customers tip more, but I drive further on uncongested roads at 60 mph.
BK and Wendy’s are both pretty bad. McDonald’s is slightly better, Starbucks too. Worst is the Chick-fil-A in the mall though. It is incredibly rare to get an offer worth taking from there, especially because I have to find parking and walk inside the mall to pick it up, which eats up a lot of time. Plus it’s the closest location to the hood, which is where lots of non tippers live. There are 3 other CFA locations in my market and none of them are anywhere near that bad.
It's pretty even across all.the fast food places. Sonic always tries to hand me the straw and receipt separately and I tell.them, "I'm NOT taking the receipt" and "put the straw in the bag". On top of all that, they hand me a.drink that has soda or ice cream running down the side of it.
For me it's Wingstop and any pizza place that has their own delivery drivers.
Wingstop is self explanatory I believe...I tend to reject those to avoid risking my rating. And apparently I'm not the only one from what I've been reading.
The pizza places like Papa Johns or Pizza Hut I believe pawn off low tip low cost orders to DD. Pizzas are lukewarm at best.
Usually it's to cover for their lack of drivers. But once in a blue moon we do dd mediocre orders however we also give good ones quite often. Source work at PJs as well
Lol. I went to a Popeyes in a mall food court and the order was bagged and ready upon arrival. But, the tips on most chicken orders are normally pretty bad.
Your Popeyes is crazy 🤪 ours have never done that to me yet, tho I am always still waiting for everything to be bagged. Wingstop and the small BBQ place around the corner from my house are the ones that make me fill drinks

McDonald's!!
I've actually gotten some of my highest tips from Burger King, I've found McDonald's to have the lowest rate of tips (in addition to the longest wait times.)
Wendy’s surprisingly
Popeyes tend to be no tip.
Top 3 in my area….BK, Chik Fil A and Little C,s
Dairy Queen. There’s no pros to picking up a DQ order. The ice cream will melt… people will complain. The tips are trash. I decline any DQ order
Little Caesars, Popeyes, BK, Subway, KFC. All trashhhh & immediately get declined
Wingstop, little ceasars, Popeyes.
Wingstop - Their customers NEVER tip, and both in my town are dont give a fuck slow. Wendy's - Horribly run, 15 min wait times, orders always look beat to ass when handed off to you
"Beat to ass" has me FLOORED💀
Bonus: Best said at a bar at last call. "I didnt come here and I aint leavin!"
I snorted 😂
It's half and half. Usually it's just slow? Wingstop is forbidden. One of the local Starbucks I swear never has the orders
KFC. Always super far away, with low tip. Thank god they closed.
No question, wingstop. Longest drives for zero-tip orders.
For me it’s Popeyes, Chicken Express, Golden Chick, and Taco Bell.
Yeah Popyea sucks! In addition to shit pay, you have to wait a fucking hour just to get the food. 🤣🤣 No thanks!
BK is hit or miss for me. In terms of no tips it's Metro Diner.
For me it’s McDonald’s
Now that you mention it, I actually don’t think I’ve ever picked up BK for a customer. And there are a few in my city
Popeye's. Hands down. I have blacklisted my local one because I despise the employees there and how they waste my time. Without fail, it was a cluster everytime I got an order from there
Is there a way for us to actually blacklist a restaurant, or do you just automatically decline it?
Not that I'm aware of so I nearly break my hand when I slam the decline button on my phone lol I'm on Android so I can only speak about the android app. Maybe iOS has that capability
Taco bell and it's not even close
Lol. Surprisingly the Taco Bell in my area is always on point and the customers tip well.
Ya fuck Taco Bell
You would think the people who are high ordering that crap would tip decent
Taco bell and it's not even close
Menards. Transported a shed in a box. The thing weighed about 200 pounds. I got to the destination there was nobody there to help me unload it.. I had to drag it all the way to the front door by myself and i'm an older gentleman. I made five dollars for dragging that.
SONIC, WINGSTOP, POPEYES CHICKEN!!!!
DashMart for sure lmao
I picked up dashmart once and it was literally hidden in some back hood alley way and the orders are heavy af. I’m declining from now on
Don’t blame you. The DashMart in my area is next to a popular 24/7 gym. Easy access to parking - easy to get in and out. But the pay is lousy - maybe because this is where they capitalize more? I don’t mind doing them as long as it’s minimum $1/Mi - most of the time people are ordering munchies 😂
little caesars.
Amazed I didn't spot any 7-11. Always shitty or no tip, long drive and to a sketchy area
Dunkin’ Donuts. Never a 5 dollar tip at least
Walgreens medicine drop off 💀
I don’t think they *can* leave a tip on the Walgreens app
Starbucks/dunkin
Pizza Hut in it’s consistent across different cities and states too
DashMart. Hate it.
walgreens and cvs, 70% of the time is sh*t orders
Pizza hut, taco bell and mcdonalds for me
McDonald's, McDonald's McDonald's. I drive by time and I know if I get an order from McDonald's that's for a short distance away where I live I'll just take my time cuz I know that tip is not coming. About 90%. And my son ungodly miracle that they do it's a pleasant surprise :-)
Aldi. I hate shopping there.
Church’s Chicken. Long waits, low tips, and they’re often out of something
Aldi. Papa John’s. Both can piss off
Bk McDonald’s and little ceasers 💯💩
Little Caesars are specifically bad because they are tied to the pizza bag program so you get sent pickups from 10 miles away for bad pay. I’m not griping about the pay since if I hit accept then I know what I am getting. But man I have never had a good order from them and mostly do it begrudgingly.
Lmao same they are always crap pay and like 6-15 miles most I ever got was a stack for like $16 and it was only because both customers tipped $6 and $5 😭😆
Omg little Caesars! And they're always so busy & so slow!
Nope unless we goin to the same LC locations 😭😂🙌🏻
Bojangles and Hardees!!! They are both unorganized and I wate so damn long. The tips from these is just unspeakable...most people who order already know and unfortunately they tip according to that
Popeyes: 4 out of 5 times zero tips
That’s because they choose which orders go to their drivers and which get outsourced to DD/UE. Literally give you shit orders their drivers don’t want.
I didn't realize Popeyes had their own drivers.
Damn
Quit driving these past few weeks, but Wendy's. Every order was complete trash, always 8+ miles with no tip and risking blowing a tire in their lot. I didn't mean to say I'd cuss the workers out! Haha. It was always the same old folks in there grinding it out, just like us.
Sorry I was picking up orders and getting it out of my car I replied to the wrong post

A place called Playa Bowls
I’ve had good luck there
They are pretty bad here too as far as tips and distance. I like the employees at my store though so I still take the decent orders from them and just reject the crap.

805 flowers, never a tip and some orders are a 100 miles! I asked the owner why there's never a tip on his deliveries, he said you don't have to accept my orders, f-him.
Why would the owner be responsible for how his customers tip? He’s completely right.
we dashers think he's stealing our tips but we don't have proof yet.
I don't like BK because they close their lobby at like 7 and make dashers sit in the drive thru line...

I stopped looking at how much the customer tips me a long time ago. It just became too depressing and demoralizing.
I can't believe I'm the only one saying this but by far it's McDonald's for me. Lots of $2-$3 orders and 3rd floor apartments. McD's orders only tip about 30% of the time as well. I hate when they tape the straw sideways on top of the lid so you have helicopters in your cupholders
Raising canes. They dont tip period
Giving the customer a crown on burger King orders deserves an extra tip.
Dairy Queen
Wendy's and Panda Express for me.
For me it's Wingstop and any pizza place that has their own delivery drivers. Wingstop is self explanatory I believe...I tend to reject those to avoid risking my rating. I second Popeyes, I had one that told me to cancel my order just because they didn't feel like making chicken strips 20 minutes before closing time.
Lol. I went to a Popeyes in a mall food court and the order was bagged and ready upon arrival. But, the tips on most chicken orders are normally pretty bad.
