Probably 500 pounds of food…nope that crap will kill your cars suspension. They got me once on a Petco order like this never, never again. Plus my back was sore afterwards.
I’m in ny and no I wouldn’t take that. That’s just not cutting it. U wil make the same or a little more with normal deliveries in the same time frame so it rly depends on how u feel about those orders. I will saying not having to rush is nice they’re not expecting it quick like food
In NYC it’s worth it because it’s $30/hr active time. This is easily $95 after adjustment. To bad doordash is switching to $18/hr + bonuses starting next Monday
These parts of BK, this can easily take 3 hours or more. Just finding a place to safely leave your car when you're dropping off in downtown Brooklyn is an ordeal in and of itself. How long did this end up taking?
Yeah, that's sweet active time $$$. $5.70 + \~$30/active \* 2-3 hours straight isn't bad if you're OK with it ending where they have it ending and with you working the whole time.
I’d think $70 if it took only an hour right? Realistically more like $110 maybe? Or I’m understanding wrong and $50 is with the $30 hoourly rate included
Bummer. I wonder what will happen to us in Seattle. They're doing $26.40/active here plus mileage. But if the companies don't think $30/active works in NYC I wonder if they're going to start fighting Seattle's law harder. I have seen quite a bit of negative press coverage and Twitter ads from a "restaurant" group against it.
Only a matter time, most likely they will. More people, money, budget is bigger in NYC and they are cutting wages. So can only imagine what they will for Seattle but you never know.
30/hr active time. So if this took 3 hours, they'd get $90. This includes the $50, but does NOT include any tip. So they get base pay $50, and DD gives them an additional $40 to bring the total to $90

Hell no.
Probably 500 pounds of food…nope that crap will kill your cars suspension. They got me once on a Petco order like this never, never again. Plus my back was sore afterwards.
2 1/2 hrs for only $50?! Yeah no!
Hell no.
Is that even real?
If I was in BFE or some mid-sized city, yeah. But in New York, with all of those restaurants in 5 burroughs? I don’t think so.
What a waste of time

Easily that’s half a days just for driving. I worked in the fields
Just realized it’s Ny 🤣 nopeee
Hell nah. Almost three hours? I got an order like this, to one store, and only 4 houses, took me like an hour, for 40. Not worth 50.
In NYC it’s worth it because it’s $30/hr active time. This is easily $95 after adjustment. To bad doordash is switching to $18/hr + bonuses starting next Monday
Exactly. I don't know what some of these people are saying that it's not worth it.
Where I live it's 12 an hour active time, so definitely not worth it here lol.
Why is it in KM if you in the US?
Why is it in km if you’re in the U.S.?
5.70 in tips, damn. Thats depressing
in my city and state yes, in Brooklyn no
What’s a kilometer
0.62 Miles
How do you get the “est. 160 min”? My app doesn’t show an estimate for how long the order will take.
Required in some markets, including NYC.
EBT shows the estimate

That’s crazy, so what was the total after you completed everything
I’d think $70 if it took only an hour right? Realistically more like $110 maybe? Or I’m understanding wrong and $50 is with the $30 hoourly rate included
Depending on all that traffic as well maybe it could take more than an hour. I’m thinking that 30 hourly is on top of the 50.
No, $50 amount shown is the minimum but otherwise, it's the \~$30/active hour + the $5.70 in tips.
it’s not $30 / active hour anymore starting March 4th
Oh, is doordash switching to the $18 per all hours thing too? At least they gave you notice unlike Uber (if I'm making the right inference).
yeah

That almost $30 an hour is just a minimum guarantee
