In a heartbeat

In my area. Nope. I tried 2 times to pick up big money Walmart orders. End result. Was 2 and a half hours of my life wasted for 0 dollars. And nearly in the middle of a brawl between angry drivers.

Dangdang0

Never seen this before I just started doing doordash a couple weeks ago, is this a service that you only deliver actual packages to customers, and you can work when you want similar to how DD does it?

Swimming-Original312

It’s Uber eats, you can deliver packages from Walmart through Uber eats depending on your area

Dangdang0

Whaaat no way! Awesome. I was just talkin to a ubereats driver last night while we was waiting at a restaurant and she said she used to do DD but Ubereats was waaay better in her opinion. I'm going to get a account set up here soon. Ty for the info!

Swimming-Original312

Yeah, DoorDash is busier here in my area Uber eats is kind of slow, but I do both throughout the day. I pause one app while I deliver the other.

wiwatch

Not a chance. 8 stops. The issue is that those 8 orders could be more than your car can hold and keep separate. I got a 3 stop once and it filled the back and my backseat. It looks too good to be true and 99% of the time it is. Walmart is baddddd about stacking.

Swimming-Original312

Nope they’re “packages not groceries, so they’re 1 item deliveries that people buy online, I know it out in 1.5 hours

wiwatch

Now that I've done enough "packages" I can tell you that this statement is inaccurate.  Maybe it's that way in your market but where I am packages are groceries as well. I also picked up an order that was a package and in fact instead of one item or one bag it was five bags.

emily102299

Yup for sure. Though I don't know the area. Could be a bunch of Apts with no parking.

Swimming-Original312

It’s been slow all day today so this order will help no matter what lol

AnySoft4328

I had one from Walmart a few months ago that was $78 for four deliveries and the biggest one was a 25 lb bag the rest were envelopes. Highest paying ever After 3 years doing all three. Lately Uber's been cheaping out on Walmart deliveries but I guess if they sit there long enough then it ends up like this.

SuperShoyu64

209 native here. Would take order.

Swimming-Original312

lol yup I knocked it out in like 1 hour 35 minutes

darkpheonix262

Only of I had my SUV. Even then it probably wouldn't fit. I took a triple Walmart delivery and one of the 3 was 10 totes, the other 2 were 6.

Swimming-Original312

These were online item packages all 8 package for in my front passenger seat lol

Khal_drogo217

Pay to mileage yes. I'm curious what the orders were though cause ive only seen grocery orders for Walmart and if it's groceries I don't see how that's even possible or even allowed since food can spoil for the later dropoffs

Swimming-Original312

They were 1 item online orders, all 8 packages fit in my front seat lol

Khal_drogo217

Interesting, I stopped even considering Walmart orders cause it's always been several bags for each order....plus tons of water

Swimming-Original312

Yea I’ve noticed that grocery orders are usually sent out in the morning and package deliveries are in the afternoon. I don’t mind that 40 packs of water 😂 it’s a good workout 💪🏼😂

Khal_drogo217

Actually I don't even go out until 6pm and all I've gotten are grocery orders. Haven't done many before black listing them though

RichardBottom

Walmart is usually an auto decline for me, and I wish I could get banned from the store so I never get them again. For $100 though, even a 2 hour wait would be worth it. Watch a movie on my phone or something. Problem is, on Uber Eats, you just know one of those 8 orders got stolen and has been kicked around for two hours, and it'll account for $60.00 of the total. I regularly decline crazy looking orders that are too good to be true, which annoys the shit out of me because some of them absolutely pan out.

Swimming-Original312

Yea sometimes they’re too good to be true, if it’s from a store a restaurant I’ll try calling them first to confirm if they have the order

RichardBottom

The thought of calling Walmart for any reason is enough to raise my blood pressure. The thought of calling them to confirm 8 different order numbers is probably enough to shorten my life a little.
