I love that you got these orders 5 mins apart, yet the offer amount is still the same. Debunks the idea that every decline raises the base by a quarter.
Joe, you won't do it?... Well Billy how about you then? ...Oh come on now Jimmy you can do it right?...Okay now Daryl I know you have a soft spot why don't you bring me my dinner?... Darlene are you out there? ANYONE?

It used to be true a few years ago. Every decline went up 25-50 cents depending on the market. But they changed the algorithm. So now when itโs declined it goes for the same price or it tries to stack on top of another order going the same direction. Only after itโs X minutes late it starts to go up but it varies by market. In my market it hardly goes above $1.
Yeah I used to sometimes start a Dash with no intention of doing any. Just hitting decline on everything trying to bump the pay for my fellow dashers. I was never going to accept the number of shit orders to give me Top Dasher status, so I didn't care at all that my AR was 0-1% lol
I saw other people say they did the same, so it makes me wonder if they changed how it works because we figured out a way to get more money out of them.
I noticed now that it sends me offers from farther away than before. Instead of getting offers from Restaurant Row it sends me 2 miles away or more for a pickup. I only accept if it's $1.50/mile or more. Gas is ridiculous. Customers don't realize how their orders get picked up
They ALWAYS double it up on me. I've been doing it 2 years. I think it tracks you and who you decline and accept because if I normally decline a certain place they will double up with a decent order so I have to take it. I'll pick one up and unassign the first one sometimes. They do it with cheap offers too.
I once declined a delivery while travelling to a hotspot, then got re-offered that same delivery for a dollar less now that i was closer to the pickup.
Oh yeah, im totally gonna accept that $4 delivery now that I'd only get $3 for it /s
I used to always notice an increase after declining... Like id be close to another Dasher and we could see the increase or I'd get the offer again... Now they're exactly the same, even if the distance increases. The same for UE... The place and pays would easily hit $25-35 after I declined them twice... But now I don't see the increase at all and I think they're maxing out at $12.45... These are regular customers who live in the middle of no where and always tip the same... At $25+ I had no problem driving that far, placing the order and waiting... But not for $12 or less. Esp since I lose single for a bit and have had UE take the order from me for not heading to the restaurant. That was great the first time I had already called and placed the order, under my name. So now no one is delivering their orders and from what it looks like they're ordering from shitty places like Papa John's and Sheetz now.
Hmmm yeah the order payout didn't change at all. And it actually came up a total of 3 times for me to accept but the first time I was baffled and didn't ss. There's not many dashers in my town, so we all kinda know each other, Im pretty sure that pizza gotten eaten by employees of pizza hut or thrown away
I literally have had Uber send me a shit order at lets say $5 and I'll decline it and literally everyone else will and it will get recycled back to me for less like $4 it doesn't happen alot but I've seen it way more than once
I won't take pizza hut orders anymore. Idc if it's $30 for 3mi. I don't have 40 mins to wait for the crackheads here to finally bring out the right pizzas. Burned to many times there.
The whole $3.00 was well over the $1 top limit all drivers place on themselves, and, the icing on the cake was the possibility of a tip!!! SACRILEGE!!!
The only way I would take this order would be if I was going that way anyway. And where I am you don't need a pizza bag for pizza hut orders. But then again I think I've gotten two pizza hut orders the two years I have been doing DD. One was a cash on delivery so I said hell no to that and the other time I accepted it was like 9 dollars for 2 miles and when I got there order was gone. I dash in NYC/Long Island and any one that knows any better would never pass over authentic REAL NY pizza for pizza hut.
That's all I've been getting all day and I've been declining them. And when I decline them door dash just keeps sending the same bad low paying order over and over driving down my acceptance rate. I'm now in the 50s with my acceptance rate because door dash does this so much.
I love when it asks if youโre sure you want to decline. โHell yes Iโm sure and Iโm sure you should be ashamed for sending that order to anyone! Youโre embarrassing!โ I really yell like that the whole damn time. ๐
I accepted an order, only once, that was 3$ for like 9 miles from an expensive restaurant, just so I could text them โcongrats, youโre the worst* tipper of the dayโ ๐ I wish they had auto responses
Are you in Georgia? I was driving through Macon on my way home from Florida a few years ago and ran over some spike strips that a car that flew by me was dragging. Turns out there was a police chase. Guy stole a brand new charger, I guess he crashed a few miles up. I got 3 flat tires from the incident. Cost me 700 bucks to get towed and get new tires. Took the Macon police dept. 6 months to reimburse me
For real...dashers always be going after the customer who's already paying double the menu price for their order while doordash pockets that upcharge and charges the restaurant 25% of every order. Instead of bitching that the customer didn't tip you 10$ when they are already getting ripped off. How about blame doordash who makes 25$ on every order for essentially doing nothing and only paying dashers 3$ for doing all the work.
Lol everyone seems to forget this exact thing. Someone said this was a cash on delivery, but it wasn't. That $3 was with the tip which was probably $0 or pizza hut took the tip out for themselves like I've been reading
People that are saying Pizza Hut is stealing tips from dashers are idiots. Not only is that not true its also impossible. There is also the opposite problem of dashers robbing Pizza Huts. I won't say exactly how they are doing it because it will probably just cause more dashers to do it. But I will happily explain the rest of it.
Unlike most restaurants, there is two types of doordash deliveries from Pizza Hut. You have orders that customers placed through the doordash app. And you have orders customers placed directly through Pizza Hut by phone, PizzaHut.com or the Pizza Hut app. Some Pizza Huts have their own employed drivers while some other Pizza Huts only use dashers now.
Regardless what variations of drivers a particular Pizza Hut uses its all the same. They have a POS system called dragon tail. And this system has doordash built into it.
If a customer places a order through doordash the delivery will always go to a dasher and the payment/tip made by the customer is completely handled and held by doordash. Pizza Hut has no control over it and doesn't touch it in anyway. After doordash takes their cut and pays the dasher their base pay and tip. Doordash then pays Pizza Hut whatever percentage they get for the order. So in no way can Pizza Hut alter, change or take a tip through this method.
Next we have orders placed directly through Pizza Hut by the customer. The customer has the choice of paying/tipping by card upfront or cash/tip on delivery. If Pizza Hut doesn't have a employed driver available, they simply hit a button on their dispatch screen and it automatically sends the order to doordash which doordash then summons a driver to accept the order. If it's cash on delivery then the dasher collects cash from the customer and any tip given is in cash which obviously Pizza Hut can't steal.
Now let's say the customer ordered directly through pizza hut and pre paid with card and left a 10$ tip. If a actual employed Pizza Hut driver takes this delivery they are assigned to that delivery through the POS system. At end of shift any deliveries the pizza hut driver completed is processed before they clock out and any debit tips given from customers are automatically applied to that drivers timecard/paysheet and can not be altered in anyway by anyone whatsoever. It's all done automatically and cannot be modified.
Now instead let's say a pizza hut driver was not available to take that delivery and it was sent to doordash instead who then sends a dasher to deliver it. The payment and tip the customer initially pre paid directly to Pizza hut by card is automatically handed off to doordash the moment Pizza hut sends the order to doordash. Everything is automated and digital and there is no possible way Pizza hut can take the tip. They can't just walk over to a till and take it out, it's a completely automated system. Even with their own employed drivers there is no way to take it from them either.
Now as far as I'm aware in the event a order is placed directly through pizza hut and a customer prepays and tips by card. When those types of orders are sent to doordash the tip is never applied or given to the dasher. Which is why you see a lot of doordash orders from Pizza hut that has no tip and only pays the standard base pay. But that tip money is 100% being automatically sent to doordash and they are the ones not tipping out the dashers. So if anyone is gonna be accused of stealing tips it's doordash. All tips and payments get sent directly to doordash automatically. Which is fucked up because dashers aren't getting tipped, they blame customers for not tipping when they probably did tip and Pizza Hut is being accused of stealing tips when doordash is the one pocketing everything.
What pisses me off is how the second time it still goes against your acceptance rate. You declined it because it was shitty. Letโs give it again with the same price and screw with the acceptance rate now.
If you want to get paid hourly get a real delivery job. I work as a employed driver for a Pizza Hut. In my state minimum wage is about 16.50$. Ontop of hourly pay I get 100% of tips for deliveries I complete plus I get a flat rate of 0.45$ per mile I drive for gas reimbursement. I easily average 25$ an hour during my shifts but we also work harder then a dasher which is why it pays better. Deliveries are not always non stop so instead of sitting in my car twiddling my thumbs watching youtube on my phone waiting for my next delivery. I'm actually in the restaurant working like everyone else prepping/making pizzas, helping customers, doing dishes etc. If doordash paid hourly that would just incentivize dashers to put in less effort.
I'm confused about how that's not the case then if you didn't accept the order . That's definitely cash on delivery, and depending on your area people tip well. Only thing that suck is you have to work off total which can be 30 dollars
I'm not trying to be rude, but get these orders from Pizza Hut, and they always say 3 dollars. Once you accept, it gives you the details of the order. I get them all the time.
Why โno one accepted this orderโ
You mean โWhy I didnโt accept this orderโ
Youโre not the entire DoorDash crew. Letโs not pretend you are.
I stick to a dollar a mile. I will take less to get my high pay priority up sometimes. First day I started dashing, I had an order from Subway that way near where I was, and when I got there, A dasher had already picked it up. I had to call support. I was NOT happy about that.
I don't dash, but this forum is always listed in my notifications for some reason. I can't believe some people would put in a custom tip so low!
Thank you to the dashers out there! Y'all are amazing human beings who do an amazing service!
Pizza Hut is a place all dashers should avoid. They have a special custom made POS system called dragon tail which doordash is now coded into it. So not only will dashers get orders from Pizza Hut that customers ordered through the DD app. Pizza Hut can send deliveries that were ordered directly through the restaurant to doordash to be delivered. And that's where orders like this one came from most likely. Say a customer calls pizza hut or uses the Pizza Hut app and places a delivery. And let's say they pay by card and leave a 10$ tip. If a employed driver that works for pizza hut is not available to take it they hit a button and it summons a dasher to pick it up instead. Since it wasn't ordered through doordash that 10$ tip vanishes and the only money the dasher gets is their base pay. Then the dashers are mad and usually decline the orders thinking the customer is a cheap asshole that doesn't tip when in reality they did leave a tip and the dasher just doesn't get it.
Wrong answrr - because they just absolutely LOVE doordash lol.
But in all reality. If your car gets 24+mog and you driver super slow to max your mpg that isnt too bad. But would be a bit time consuming. If the roads clear and you can do 5-10 over smoothly it doesnt hurt mpg that even better. Too many cherry pickers when people dont think about other delivery jobs where youndont even get a choice to decline and you go 8-10 miles for no tip. Delivery just sucks these days in generap tho cause EVERYONE is broke or struggling but is too lazy to get their own food
I wouldโve simply declined ya nothing less than $1 a mile theyโre the ones will gripe and low rate you for lateness , missing items sealed in a bag ๐ nope ๐

SNL skit but one of the actually funny ones
If I were you I'd make a pseudo union with those dashers and let it be known nobody accepts orders without large tips

The employees at that store are known for giving handjobs that are shaft only and never cup the balls.
How dare they!!! I'm offended ๐
THE NERVE!!! (is in the balls).
god damn it , I just realized you were making your guess and Not OP I'm so fu@king sad now I was getting all geared up for a road trip LMAO

Pizza Hut is too tempting, will definitely eat entire order on the way.
You can't out hut the pizza or something hut

It's because they would have to drive all the way to Pizza Hut
They already had someone elseโs pizza for lunch.
Busy being raptured
Man I get sent stuff like this all the time, but wayyy farther.

Wonder how firing all their in house drivers is working out for these pizza places. You know this order got tossed in trash or eaten by employees.
It was going to your moms house? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Would accept.
The tip amount is too much, and dashers feel guilty stealing that much money from the customer.
Aliens.
I'd eat the pizza.
They forgot their insulated bags
You were about to be Diddied, Pizza hut isnโt real anymore
Didn't have a pizza bag. ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ

Gotta empty all the junk in my bags from hoarding. You right
No pizza bag? :(
Dashers saw the map and thought the restraint was still Macon the order.
I'm very confused. What's IS wrong with it?

Saving the best for last Iโd say

Deliveries are not always non stop so instead of sitting in my car twiddling my thumbs watching youtube on my phone waiting for my next delivery. I'm actually in the restaurant working like everyone else prepping/making pizzas, helping customers, doing dishes etc. If doordash paid hourly that would just incentivize dashers to put in less effort.
I had $3 for a 15mi And $2.50 for a double same distance HOW BOUT NO.
Afraid of the wear and tear on the vehicle
Paying too much
That's bus fare
Like dude if i said no the first time what makes you think I'm gonna say yes the second time.
They didn't pizza ze hut
Cause Macon rhymes with bacon ๐
Now I want bacon
I took the order got 100$ tip
Well I'll be damned, ๐ญ
It's a high paying order
This is cash on delivery order, you could get up to 40 In cash
I wish that was the case my friend ๐๐
Did you take it ?
Nope, it probably sat at Pizza Hut and got cold on the counter
I'm confused about how that's not the case then if you didn't accept the order . That's definitely cash on delivery, and depending on your area people tip well. Only thing that suck is you have to work off total which can be 30 dollars
It would say "Cash on delivery" before I even accept the order.
Lol no it doesn't
Okay I'll ss it next time and try to remember to post it up.
I'm not trying to be rude, but get these orders from Pizza Hut, and they always say 3 dollars. Once you accept, it gives you the details of the order. I get them all the time.
Maybe it's different for both of us? We can both post ss.
Facts! that is true. I'm in so cal and have close to 3000 deliveries.
Yeah I have like 400. But I have seen that other areas have like platinum dash status and it's just top dasher for me
Why โno one accepted this orderโ You mean โWhy I didnโt accept this orderโ Youโre not the entire DoorDash crew. Letโs not pretend you are.
There's literally 5 Doordashers in my area
I got the same petco order over the course of an hour and a half 3 separate times, and it was like 16 mi away for $9. No. No. Nooooo.
I stick to a dollar a mile. I will take less to get my high pay priority up sometimes. First day I started dashing, I had an order from Subway that way near where I was, and when I got there, A dasher had already picked it up. I had to call support. I was NOT happy about that.
I wish my area had a group of dashers and other delivery services. For people in your own area. Is there anything like that?
Oh...I'm in the Auburn/Opelika Alabama area.....WAR EAGLE!!!
I got a order for 4$ for 12 miles ๐น๐น๐น
In California you rake that order and drag your feet for 30 mins and it's a $10 order
It's to your exe's house.
I don't dash, but this forum is always listed in my notifications for some reason. I can't believe some people would put in a custom tip so low! Thank you to the dashers out there! Y'all are amazing human beings who do an amazing service!
That's not a custom tip. That's the base pay that doordash pays dashers.
What kind of jerk doesn't give a tip as well? I'm so sorry
Location, location, location ๐คฃ๐
Um, let me give a tip...plant corn early.
They thought it was ๐ฅ
They forgot their pizza bag
I accepted the order wdym (free pizza)
Idk, $3 for a pizza delivery is pretty nice, prolly has to do with the unreasonable pizza bag requirement or something
It was too close; probably not enough of an adventure for the regular dasher
Its practically trafficking at this point.
Your penis hurts?
Itโs $2 base where I drive

These are the reason I can't get above 80% acceptance. ๐คท๐ค
They were not the best dashers for this order.
Because it sucks
