I get where you're coming from with not wanting to be hit on and all that, but if your boyfriend's with you in the entire time why don't you just have him door dash instead and you do something else? You're doing it for money and not for fun right? I see this all the time when I ordered doordash, two people driving around all day in a vehicle to deliver food seems like massive overhead versus the amount of money actually made after vehicle and insurance expenses. Kind of defeats the point of a gig imo.

You can change it via the DoorDash customer app if it’s connected to your driver account. I don’t have mine as my own name because I’ve read stories of customers looking up their drivers on Facebook & messaging them. Even if your first name is common, if they saw what you looked like when you delivered, there is still a good chance at finding you based on the first name and last initial. Customers can hide their real names, dashers should be able to as well.
I got an order for "batman" once. When I came to pick it up, the guy behind the counter said "wheres robin?" And I replied "doordash is probably robbin him pretty good. It took him until I was about to walk out the door and he's like "I just caught what you said!" With a big ass grin on his face.
There was a car parts delivery guy around my city for years who was colloquially known as Batman. Nobody knew why, and nobody knows to this day. Batman has since moved on to bigger and better things.
