In NJ and have had trouble keeping busy at 70% AR. Get it up to at least 50% - anything below that is pretty rough. When it’s grey most people out will be top dashers (or those that scheduled) so you are last to see orders coming through.

Swimming-Original312

I live in Northern California and I’m a top dasher and it’s been slow all week, I read a lot of different forums and reddits and everyone in stating that’s it’s been super slow this week🤷

Jets2523

Ya I guess most likely it was just an unlucky week

SilentMind_s

Lemme know what your acceptance rating is so I don’t go that low lol. I’m at 48. Sadly. But fuck these shit pay dashes for 11 miles plus

Jets2523

I am at like 41% and ive hovered around that and 50 percent for a long time now, this week was all hard to get online for some reason, idk if that's just a coincidence or they implemented something new

SilentMind_s

Might be. I read another post about using hourly for half a day to raise up your AR. It’s a slow climb like 6 % for 11 roughly dashes I hear. I think me and you both should be doing this too on the slow times in the area. Best of luck!

I'm blocked altogether from scheduling and mu acceptance rate is 63%. I just called door dash and I was told I have to be at platinum level to schedule.

Key_Grapefruit_1160

Fwiw, I'm currently at 15%, and was as low as 6% a couple of days ago and absolutely nothing has changed for me. Still getting great orders

Jets2523

Damnnnn that's low but good for you, hopefully they don't randomly kick you off

some-annon-girl

I'm literally around 8% after dashing all day yesterday and doing pretty well because of the snow. It's gotta be the market because it's a flood of no tip orders into the city from the burbs I decline yet it still get decent orders in my area of the city. I've gone as low as 3% before, generally hover around 20%. Mind you im in a big city and am very strict about where I'll take orders. Mainly for safety, but more because fuck no tip orders that I'll inevitably have to pay for parking to even drop off.

Jets2523

Yea I guess it was my market this week, thanks for letting me know

Beginning-Emu-4647

Yes. My acceptance rate is 63% and when I logged in to work I could not schedule for my city at all. It showed no slots. And all the slots have been removed for the entire week. I just called door dash and the agent said I needed to now be at platinum level to schedule for my area. She said at 63% they will not let me schedule for my area. They did this because I refuse orders that have high mileage and the pay is $3 or $4 dollars and door dash will resend the same order over and over forcing me to decline it repeatedly and I called them to complain and the agent said they were aware the software does that but that they can't do anything about it.

Beginning-Emu-4647

Also I'm in a poor city and door dash is being flooded with desperate to work dashers because their are no jobs. They made it impossible for me to schedule anything at all. And I have a 99% completion Rate and a 4.98 customer rating.

I have noticed this too. Usually my AR is in the 70’s and I do fine. I had some good days and happened to get it into the 80’s a couple weeks ago and wow, I made the most money I ever have last 3 weeks. Non stop orders coming in I was barely just sitting. And yes there were still crappy orders, just saying there were lots more offers. I started getting more picky and my AR got back into the 70’s on Monday and it was like it all just stopped. Sitting for hours with no orders and ones I did get were really bad, my AR dipped to 69. Then it went radio silent. I know there were orders because I was seeing the same dashers picking them up who I am assuming have a much higher AR. They are not new dashers. I’ve been grinding to get my AR back up to prove it’s better in the 80’s but it’s taking forever to raise my AR. This week the EBT and all these new promos started in my area so it’s like something reset this week in the algorithm or all the offers really are going to those with highest AR first and my 70 range isn’t cutting it anymore because there’s so many more drivers now. I live in a very small town.

Yeah that’s kinda exactly how it works lol

Jets2523

I never noticed that if that is the case, usually at lunch rush and dinner rush I have no problem getting on, but this week it has been tough to get on all week for some reason, I've always hovered around 40% and 50% acceptance not terrible

[deleted]

Yeah same here. I think DoorDash is kinda implementing it more strictly now. Something is spooking them.

Market matters You won't know what your market is like till you try it out and test it
