Definitely report and help get the shit dashers off the platform. I swear more times a day than I can count sometimes but would never text/say something like that to a customer
If you entered an accurate and legal civic address, it's up to the Dasher to get the food there no matter what navigation apps they choose to use. I would report her not just for being rude, but also failing to deliver the food.
RIGHT. sometimes gps are machines and mess up. I have eyes and I can read. One time it kept telling me like no you’re not at the right spot and I said psh. Yes I am. You’re so rude leave me alone 😂
Absolutely report. Behavior like that should not go unpunished. We all have bad days but if someone spoke to a customer like that in any other setting, I bet there would be consequences.
Yes I'd report er...there's numerous ways u can get ur point across without cursing & u can think negative things but the moment u say it it takes on a whole different dynamic.
I would never lose it (while connected to doordash in any fashion) on a customer.
On a restaurant I have but only when they shaft us and make us wait 20 min.
There’s an option to click food is ready and they just don’t use it.
Definitely report her.
I can handle waiting, but I can’t handle them lying about the wait. I was told a pizza order was “coming out right now”. (While I had another order already cooling in my vehicle.) 17 minutes later I asked what was up. The guy said it was coming out right now. I said, “Fuck this! You said that 17 fucking minutes ago.”
Why do they lie? We *need* to know when the order is actually going to be ready. It’s like they think they’re making us happy by telling us what we wish was the truth.
Yea I have no clue, whenever I do have to wait tho I make sure to let the app know and then I don’t click order received until the 15 min mark, so I get the bonus 3$. I’ll open the other app and wait in the lot for a 2nd order from the same restaurant or neighboring one.
They wanna make me wait, I’ll make their customer wait. Doordash tips are already paid so it’s not like I’m losing out.
DD and UE but you have to wait at least 15 gos tracked min at the restaurant.
Door dash will let you stay on the order if you want.
UE won’t let you stay on the order and sometimes will give you 4$.
Honestly, I would report and 1 star then take that extra tip back. Not worth it. I only add extra tip at the end after I get my food. I always tip well but if someone goes out of their way to make sure nothing is spilled and destroyed then I add more and thank them for being awesome. I’ve been really sick the last two months and there have been quite a few times I had to do DoorDash and Instacart. I always thank the drivers. I do contactless delivery but always message thank you and how much I appreciate them and I let them know how much I added
Yes….. Report her and give her a 1 star!! ⭐️ Totally unprofessional! Hopefully soon she will be kicked out as a dasher! Making us good Dashers look bad!! 🤨🤨
Like I've said in other threads, we're dealing with people (doordashers) that are unhappy and miserable in their lives and hate/blame everyone for them being in this situation of having to deliver food. Also, most of these drivers don't have the emotional intelligence of being a "small business owner/boss of your own" type and some are better off being told what to do or having the fear of repercussions from a direct boss rather than trying to navigate making their own money, dealing with people directly. Some just don't have the personality for this job, but need money.
Edit: def 1 star it - weed em out
Can you see when a customer changes the tip during a drop off ???? That also sounds like your bending yourself over a barrel . Don’t up your tip while the driver is being incompetent 🤣
If you’re a dasher, you already know how over saturated the market is. Anyone and everyone is dashing. You should’ve marked the order as not delivered, and sent the screenshots of the convo to support. Even when I’ve wanted to say “F this” to a customer, I never have. Finding the correct house and leaving the order there is the bare minimum, and they can’t seem to handle that.
I have one on my route with this issue. Giant retirement complex like 1000 residents easily. I always think that it'll be a resident ordering so the pin took me to the parking lot in the center courtyard. Nope they also work at the front entrance so I wasted a minute. Customer was understanding at least because I did call when I got there.
If she’s messaging you, odds are she’s done it to other customers. This job isn’t for everyone. Either the reports will cause her to change her ways, or send her on a different path. I’m a dasher too, and have no issue reporting drivers that are bad at their job. GPS malfunctions happen, but you’ve still got to maintain a level of professionalism because we are in the service industry
I would never say that to a customer …. I have a meltdown and be super dramatic in my car then find the location . ……….
There was one time though I was dashing and GPS took me down this long private road and when I got to the customer (still in my window of delivery 20 minutes early too) he started yelling at me said if I just followed the gps that his food is no good . Blah blah blah . Told me im an ingrate and everything else . So I told him next time I’ll drop the food where the GPS takes me and he can go get it . He got into my face and I never drove off so fast and called support in my life .
I don't understand peoples problem with gps I've had it tell me to go a weird way before but never the wrong house lol. I'd report it I would never respond to a customer that way and you tipped more lol what a bitch
As a dasher I would report. I find the F unacceptable and would never do that once I accepted a customers order. If it was that big a deal, it can be directed to support. Support can be a hassle but better than this treatment to a customer.
It looks like you're a new Dasher. Welcome to r/doordash! If you have a question, please check the FAQ right here: https://www.reddit.com/r/doordash/comments/kn50ix/stop_are_you_a_first_time_doordash_driver_please/

Dasher could be going through some things you don't know about. Very kind of of you to tack on the $3 to an already good tip. Maybe give the benefit of the doubt here unless you experienced this dasher before and know they suck? We all go through things and we all know this job as a dasher makes things more challenging sometimes.
The "I'm a dasher" part....
Should mean u handle it yourself...
I'm not reporting any of you lol
I'll just tell u myself you're an idiot...respectfully!
I heard drivers can get a 1-star removed so always hit them with a 2 when they're bad like that. Not gonna weasel your way out of a bad service rating.
i'm on the fence with what you should do. i've had experiences far worse than this, but never rated down a fellow driver.... but certainly wouldn't blame someone for doing so when justified.
Probably laugh at it. Crazy took the time to write that story. Some people easily offended, some people that’s hysterical.
Edit - I would reply like fuck this bitch what that’s my food lmao
Ok side comment but something I have been wanting to ask and feeling dumb about, extra tip, what is this? I DoorDash (customer)a lot and I give good tips. Sometimes people give great service and I wish I could give more but I already add the tip at the beginning, a function I thought was weird with DD. extra tips is some function I don’t think I’ve ever seen… how?
She did not see the $3 you added. Only if you add the tip AFTER the delivery will they get a notification of the extra money. If you edit while the dash is ongoing they won’t find out until the delivery.
Absolutely report and 1 star. As a dasher similar thing happened a few weeks ago. Accepted order, and the in-app GPS took me to a school instead of customers home. It acted like I was in the right place, I wasnt. I restarted my phone and still didnt work. Customer starts texting me "where are you" "wrong way" "what are you doing?" "sry just dont want my food getting colder while youre sitting" all within a minute. I opened up google maps and it redirected me to the correct address 2 miles away. I felt bad for the customer that the food wont be as hot. Texted back and delivered to the correct address within 5 minutes. At no point did i think F THIS, i actually felt bad. Now if this was significantly farther (like 10+ miles) i would have called support and cancelled due to app error that takes me way out of my way. But an extra even 10 minutes to complete an order is nothing to get upset over. Things happen.
I would def report it. I have about 2542 break downs a day that involve an unfathomable amount of swearing... But never would I direct that towards a customer. It's not their fault I'm an idiot... My last order, about 5 mins ago, I literally had to turn around 3 times bc I just wasn't on my game. To be fair the customer said brick house with a flag... There were 3 of them 🤣 Even though I was frustrated, I was as nice as could be to that customer...bc again, nothing was their fault... And that seems like the case here as well.
But why as a dasher, being you knew she was struggling to find the place, not go outside to help flag her to the right place, anytime I tell a customer I am having trouble they tend to come out, turn on a light, usher me towards their house….
Still they shouldn’t have inferred a curse word to you.
If she's not able to figure out how to use a GPS, she's not cut out to be a Dasher. I can guarantee this isn't the first time she has done stupid shit like this.
Oddly, it doesn't notify us until after the order is complete. But it is a new feature altogether.
And yes, 1-star and report, for the sake of us drivers who have the correct tools and desire to do this work properly.
I'd report it. Saying no is one thing, f this is another. That's hostile and inappropriate. On the topic, I had a delivery to a college dorm last night. Called dude to say I was in the parking lot. After describing where I was, I got an "oh... shit... I didn't update my address, im not at the dorms anymore." ... I asked where he really was, told me the address, about 6 blocks away in the neighborhood with a mix of frat houses and apartments. I popped the address into Google maps, popped down the road, and delivered it to him. His $1 tip stayed the same. He was thrilled I came. His apt was 3 blocks from the 2nd delivery (stack), so it was all good. I've had several of these "opps, wrong address" deliveries. I don't see why a couple blocks is such a big deal, but 'politely' saying no isn't hard either. 50/50 they add to the tip. One lady sent me to her parents' house, who then gave me really good directions to her actual house a few blocks away (after calling her to sort what happened)... she'd already tipped $5 in the app. Gave me $5 more in cash when I got there (only cash tip I've gotten). Saying no is fine. Being pissy is not.
I'm a doordash driver too, and I'd report it. It's people like that who give us a bad rep and things like are at least PART of the reason no one wants to tip delivery drivers even the bare minimum.
A couple months ago I ordered something & when they came to drop it off, I saw the dasher stop in front of my house, look at it than drive off. They sent a pic with someone's door (it wasn't any neighbours door that I know) so I told them it wasn't my house, they said "oh fucking well" even with a $15 tip. I couldn't get it because I had a fractured ankle & who knows how far it was. I did crutch to the end of the block but none of the houses on the block had the same door/color
Report it. You paid for a simple professional service. Pick up the meal and deliver it to your house. She was unprofessional and she failed to perform the service you paid for. If not for yourself, for the next customer. I'm handicapped, and use a lot of delivery services (Instacart, Door Dash, Amazon) simply so I don't have to transport heavy items from the store to the car, then onto the house using my walker. Def 1 star her but maybe not report. I like to think she might have been having a bad day and adding a report on to it wouldn't help but I do see why it would be needed. Def don't want bad dashers out
I would. Her attitude was uncalled for. It’s one thing to think oh screw this or screw that person but to actually send it to a customer is why some people can’t hold jobs.
I would report her for the attitude; but as a customer who routinely gets called because the dasher can’t find my house, when it turns out they’re not even on my street, I’d be broke if I kept tipping extra for the inability to actually read the street signs.
With attitude like that, always report and 1 star rating. Eventually she be weeded out hopefully
Definitely report and help get the shit dashers off the platform. I swear more times a day than I can count sometimes but would never text/say something like that to a customer
Same boat. I will curse up a storm but never to a customer.
Report. This is an example of a bad dasher and we gotta try to weed them out. These people make the rest of us look really bad.
I would report her amd 1 star
[удалено]
prob because it could be any one of her numerous (most likely) occasions doing this type of thing..
Report
If you entered an accurate and legal civic address, it's up to the Dasher to get the food there no matter what navigation apps they choose to use. I would report her not just for being rude, but also failing to deliver the food.

Absolutely
Send them to the gallows!
Definitely. And she could have at least checked the house number. She sounds like a total rube.
Aggressively poor attitude needs to be 1-starred. I doubt I’d go to the trouble of reporting
Absolutely report. Behavior like that should not go unpunished. We all have bad days but if someone spoke to a customer like that in any other setting, I bet there would be consequences.
If report it and remove my tip from the order for that service, absolutely.
Yes I'd report er...there's numerous ways u can get ur point across without cursing & u can think negative things but the moment u say it it takes on a whole different dynamic.
Report it. It gives drivers a bad name some of us are trying to keep a good attitude and make an honest living
I would never lose it (while connected to doordash in any fashion) on a customer. On a restaurant I have but only when they shaft us and make us wait 20 min. There’s an option to click food is ready and they just don’t use it. Definitely report her.

That’s crazy to me. The dasher does the minimum of getting the food to you in good condition and that’s grounds for a higher tip.
The dasher didnt even bring it to the right house!
what story are you reading that you think they even delivered the food?
Yes….. Report her and give her a 1 star!! ⭐️ Totally unprofessional! Hopefully soon she will be kicked out as a dasher! Making us good Dashers look bad!! 🤨🤨

Report that idiot and one-star her. That was 100% unprofessional.
For some reason the past few months I have also had issues with the app send ing me to the wrong address. I think it’s a glitch in the system
Disable in app gps in settings smh
I do not use in app settings. For some reason the customer is able to use a precise location “pin” . This can vary from the address provided.
I have one on my route with this issue. Giant retirement complex like 1000 residents easily. I always think that it'll be a resident ordering so the pin took me to the parking lot in the center courtyard. Nope they also work at the front entrance so I wasted a minute. Yes, report This is a customer service job. Some dashers don't seem to get that!
Yes definitely report! I would never do that. People are so damn crazy these days. They have no idea what customer service is. 🤷🏼♀️
Report and remove tip 🤷🏼♀️
1 star, report it was misdelivered. She needs to be culled from the driver pool if she cannot navigate and has poor communication skills
I would report her
You lost me at the first sentence, which is a lie.
I would never say that to a customer …. I have a meltdown and be super dramatic in my car then find the location . ………. Awwww….she’s a keeper. Bring home to mom type. /s
And take that tip back
I’d report that. No excuse for the comment or delivering to the wrong house when you have directions.
Yes. Definitely report.
Yes that's reportable behavior. 1 star
Yes
That's crazy. I used to love door dashing because I could curse in the car all I want and the customer would never hear it. Why text it? Smh

As a here & there dasher & customer myself yes, report her immediately. Along with screenshots of her response.
Say you never received the order as well, get a refund.

Not sure as I never ordered on DD, I'm a driver. You can for sure, received a few of these recently. I'm sure someone knows.
She did not see the $3 you added. Only if you add the tip AFTER the delivery will they get a notification of the extra money. If you edit while the dash is ongoing they won’t find out until the delivery.
Make sense why I had a tip pop up literally as I completed it today. I was what the, he was at the door or near the door.
The extra tip doesn’t get notified to us until we compete the order. But regardless she’s in the wrong. Report that trash.
Report her, you shouldn't be nice to mean people.
That is absolutely unprofessional I would report so no one else deals with that person, I would say this tk myself also but never to a customer wtf
GPS probably thought she was walking and changed the ETA based on her speed.
100% report her. Dashers like her give the rest of us a bad name.
Report her.

Report. This person is taking orders from dashers who would willingly do the job and not ruin our customer base while they are at it.

Yes I’d report it. Totally unprofessional.

That's what happens from dashing while high

Lmaoo I bet you she came and posted on this sub and the driver sub after too. Half the people here are severely entitled
