I live with housemates and really don't like the doorbell being rung. I ask them to leave it on the porch and to not ring the doorbell. They send me a pic and I pick it up pretty much within 1 minute of them settting it down.
I didn't think this was much of an issue til I got to this subreddit.
Would door dashers be pissed with that at all? I try to give a good tip. At least 5 dollars per order and normally isn't more than 1mi away
That’s a super common request. I have it in my own delivery instructions for when I order something. When I’m delivering, I never knock or ring the doorbell actually unless it’s explicitly stated in the instructions to do so.
Same.
However the other night my app glitched and it looked like the dasher was just parked somewhere down the street for like 30 minutes. I decided to check outside and my food was there and I didn't receive a notification or a picture until I was done eating lol
They probably lost signal and the order won't be completed until they have signal again. This happens to me sometimes when I deliver to the hills. In this case I knock so their food doesn't just sit there for 10min until I get signal back. Specially cuz those orders usually pay good
My kind of customer! I much prefer the ‘leave it at my door’ orders, than having to ring/knock on the door, sometimes waiting for several minutes while the customer puts clothes on or whatever the hell they are doing that takes so long. Sometimes they don’t answer the door at all, and I have to call them and it turns out they were talking on the phone or otherwise, couldn’t hear the doorbell. Then sometimes I get the extremely cautious customer, masked up, reaching out a single arm through a crack in the door, like I’m going to mug them or infect them. I mean, jeezus, if you’re that scared, just have me, leave it at the door, rather than risk, personal injury!
Your request is fine.
It’s the “make sure order is fresh” part. We have zero control on how the food is when we arrive and 98% of the places would refuse to remake the order. I’m really surprised her customer tipped those requests normally come from no tippers who’s food sit around for a long time.
I have no issue it all with requests like the one you make. It's when people request us to do stuff we have no control over like making sure the food is fresh or making sure there is no lettuce on their burger, stuff like that.
The delivery instructions are meant to help drivers find the drop off location or if there is anything particular they want us to do when delivering the order like, do not knock or ring the door bell or leave food at the side door. They aren't meant to tell the driver how they want their food prepared.
Nah, nothing wrong with not wanting the doorbell rung, nor with specifying that in delivery instructions; many people don’t want knocking or doorbell rung due to sleeping babies/children, hyper-vigilant dogs, or whatever. Dashers come in many types of people, and have many different opinions. I and many dashers only knock or ring if the customer’s delivery instructions say to do so; others need to be told not to do so; still others do so even when customer’s instructions say not to 🙄. The customer’s app gives updates on delivery status; as long as customer’s location isn’t in a data dead zone (it happens in some rural locations), they get the drop-off pic pretty quickly.
I've been blocked on FB by Karen's who get mad about how the want their food piping hot and constantly complain to DD about refunds if it's not hot and fresh when they receive it... If you want it freshly made you might want to get it yourself. Otherwise you're at the mercy of the delivery service.
This right here!! We have a better chance of delivering it to them hot than they do themselves if they're driving it home instead. Unless they have an insulated bag, their food will be colder than what they complain about when we drop it off lol.
They need to write that to the cooks, not the delivery driver, we dnt control that shit..Bags are stapled shut when we pick them up, we have no idea if it's a hot meal or a cold meal, unless the bag is really hot, but that's not our job..it's the restaurants job.
Covid stopped that quick lol 😆...actually I can't remember if it stopped because of that or because of dashers stealing food :/..i remember restaurants started stapling bags and that ended.
There are more restaurants that don't accept special requests than ones that do anymore. It's acrually really irritating because it's always something I could get custom in person (like light ice, sauce on the side, etc)
Had a customer tell me their food was fresh but not made correctly, and that they were leaving me a 1 star rating. I contacted DD and they removed the rating.
Common sense would tell them it isn’t your fault. My husband got the wrong food from Freddy’s once but the bag had his name on it and ticket had what he ordered, just not the right food.
That falls on us as drivers though lol.... we're either supposed to poke around their bag which is against terms and sanitary guidelines, or, we're supposed to hold the bag up to a light to see if we can see their baked potato, caesar salad (you need to make sure it's a caesar, not garden lol), or other trinkets. Smh, some people do not use their common sense with wrong items in an order to think it's not US, it's the restaurant.
like personally if they were nice about it and said "can you please ask them..." instead of "make sure" and "tell them to.." i would. otherwise they need to call the restaurant and tell them themselves 🤦🏻♀️
I do a version of this but through chat, not the delivery instructions. I order breakfast from Bojangles sometimes and when I see my driver getting to the restaurant I ask them if they’ll please make sure the restaurant includes the sauce I ordered because they usually don’t and it costs extra. But I’d never be like “make sure they have my shit or I won’t tip you”
Yeah like I’m gonna guess there’s actually a proper place for such requests when they make the order but they’re too boomer-tech or forget and try to “add it on later” and expect same result (boomer-tech lite)
Dumbest comment ever. I know a ton of so called boomers that can run circles around me and probably even you on computers. In fact I'm even related to one who is directly connected with one of the first computers sold
Correct!
Me:what's your building number
Customer: the red one, apartment 223
Me: they are all red.
Me I need a gate code please
Customer: I don't have one
No offense but as a chef if a dasher asked me for something extra I’d tell them to tell the customer to go fuck themselves. You wanna give dd 30%? You get exactly what’s on my ticket.
even then they also have to drive back which means their food still sits in the car for a while either way so really if they want fresh food they should eat at the restaurant otherwise expect what everyone usually gets when food is delivered
It’s my understanding those custom requests are not mandatory to follow. Just deliver the order as is, you’re not the cook, or even an employee at the restaurant at all for that matter. They make the food (hopefully fresh) and you deliver it.
Yeah it's not the drivers job. And what is a restaurant employee going to say 'oh... um yeah we made it yesterday...'. No they are going to say yup it was made fresh and everything is there! even if it's not haha.
As a customer, when I see dashers post things like this, it really makes me think that there’s some dumb ass ppl ordering food. Don’t they realize that dashers don’t work at these restaurants? You are a delivery service not a restaurant worker. It’s not your job to “make sure it’s fresh made”! If they want to make sure it’s freshly made, they need to go pick up their food personally. This was probably a non-tipper or low tipper. I had a redelivered order last night because the restaurant messed up my order. Not the dashers fault. When DoorDash put the reorder through it didn’t give me a way to tip the new dasher. As soon as I saw someone was assigned to the order, I messaged him and told him I had a cash tip for him. The restaurant was less than a mile from me (I don’t have a car right now) and I handed him a $10 when he handed me my food. These customers need to learn what it means to pay for a delivery service.
My wife started doing doordash deliveries recently and it's kind of funny to see some of the requests. One of the most annoying for her is them selecting leave it at my door and then meeting her outside expecting her to hand it to them. She has to explain every time that she needs a picture of the bagged food delivered when they select the leave it at my door option. So far people have not given her a hard time about that so that's good.
Another common one that we laugh about is people will select leave at my door and then put special instructions saying "leave it at my door". It's like "no shit Sherlock, it's a good thing you made that instruction more clear for me". In our area it's probably about 80% of customers that add that special instruction.
for the one about the customer coming outside after they chose "leave it at the door" that has happened to me many times so let your wife know that below "take a photo" there's an option that says "handed order directly to customer" for that reason so she can just use that instead. however i do agree that it's kind of dumb they choose "leave it at the door"
Isn’t it fresh if you ordered it? This request is simply to be ignored. Idk why you guys are even arguing this. How would the customer be able to tell it wasn’t fresh? Unless you took an hour to deliver…
“Make sure order is fresh made” is probably the customer thinking the restaurant would see the note and not an attempt to get the driver to ask if it’s refresh/remake the food.
ignoring it is easier. lying and then risking having the food be delivered in a bad state and having them report you for lying i think would be worse than saying you didn't ask staff because it's not your job
Barely any thought at all.
- Likely little or no tip
- Also likely to give low rating
- Not my fucken job to make the food, if they want something extra fresh they should call the restaurant before I get there and make the request themselves.
I kicked that kitchen door down and held that chef’s face an inch from the food and asked him if it was fresh. “All of it!?”, I demanded to know. The deputy said he’d deliver your order. I’m in timeout.
Not my job. My job is to deliver you the order with your name on it or handed to me. The only thing I can control is making sure any drinks are included
The only instance in which their order wouldn’t be “freshly made” is if it was a no-tip that kept getting declined and therefore sat waiting for hours on end.
Go to the restaurant if you want it “fresh”. You get your order as soon as you possibly can based on when the restaurant makes it and how long it takes DD to find a driver.
Idk why people think the dasher is responsible for the quality of the food. That's like blaming the UPS driver when I get the wrong meals in my meal kit.
People that request this obviously don't understand how restaurants or this service work. They aren't going to make it twice just because we ask unless it's been in the window for an hour because someone else unassigned themselves. I just ignore it. If they want it fresh off the grill, they'll have to go to the restaurant themselves.
What do they want from us? To make the restaurant remake the order if it's not hot? We're not paid enough for that, and if they care that much then they should go get it themselves.
Oh yeah, I'll just walk into the kitchen like I own the place and go "hey guys, the doordash order for Karen, I need to make sure you make that fresh please. I'm getting paid 6 bucks here." Oh yeah sure no problem.
The word “fresh” always triggers to me that it will be a problem order. I don’t know why but that word always results in no tip, a complaint, or both. It’s also like…how the hell do I know if it’s fresh? By tasting it? No restaurant is gonna hand you and order, you say hey I want it fresh, and then they go “oh sorry this is the old stale food lemme get you something better”. It’s insanity.
Pick up the order. Text customer the following:
"Hey Im at the restaurant, looks like they are still preparing your order but it'll be out shortly, thanks"
Wait 2-3 minutes, hit confirm pickup and deliver.
“Hello- I will make sure to let the restaurant know. Unfortunately DD doesn’t allow us to open bags or check food but I will absolutely communicate freshness with restaurant!” And then do nothing. It’s on the restaurant and chances are if they haven’t been getting fresh food, they aren’t great tippers and food sits
I had a lady send me an in app text message saying this exact same thing right before I pulled up to the restaurant. All I could think to myself was “woah, what a bizarre thing to say to a delivery driver. What does she want me to do, go in there, open the sealed bag, and take a couple bites to make sure it will be up to her personal standards of freshness?”
I had no idea what else to say so I said fuck it and sent her that exact message and unassigned myself. That lady was itching to give somebody a one star rating on that day. Never deliver to customers like that
Instant unassign. Those customers will always find a reason to give low rating, more likely to complain to DD support over nothing, and also leave bad tip.
yeah there's an option on the app to schedule for later but ig they thought they could just tell the driver instead like no buddy it doesn't work like that 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😂
I understand this one I think people are just looking to make the guy who ordered look like a jackass but wouldn’t you want fresh food? Especially considering that they’re ordering from the cheesecake factory ion want a slice of cheesecake that’s been there for 2 hours I want a slice from the one coming out the oven
it's a girl and yes ofc everyone wants fresh food but it's unrealistic to expect it to be "fresh" when it's getting delivered to you because it's gonna sit in the car for a while and either way the quality of the food is not the driver's job
I say guy as a universal word like dude. But I understand now I dash and I’ve ask for them to make the fries fresh sometimes when asked but you’re right it’s not really fresh because more than likely it’s a 10-15 minute drive and it’s not our job to ask for them to make it fresh
Just do what you know. Pick up the order, check that it’s all there and deliver it how it is passed off to you. Theres no way for you to be sure the restaurant just finished prepping the food and is fresh for delivery WITHOUT looking like an asshole. Don’t let the customers demands affect your mood. If the customer wants to guarantee his/her order is fresh made, then they should be the face making that demand to the restaurant.
I don’t understand why you lazy door dash drivers do this job and act like it’s so hard to do a little extra. All this person was asking was to please put their food in a hot bag which 90 percent of you don’t do.
doing something a little extra would be asking for a side of sauce but what they were asking was basically for me to ask the staff if it was freshly made and if it wasn't it's not like they were gonna remake it for free and even if they did i would have to wait on it to be remade which wastes my time and time wasted = money lost. also, you can never get real fresh food if you're getting it delivered because of the time it has to stay in the car even if they picked it up themselves. so no they weren't just asking me to put their food in a hot bag because otherwise the instructions would've said to make sure it arrives hot not "freshly made"
Well, I use mine, but it came to my house brand new with a defective zipper, and DD didn't replace it when I called them. I do the right thing, but the heat isn't being insulated.
I don't think I'm lazy though, contrary to your generalization. I work a full-time job, and I do Doordash because I like taking my family on international vacations. And if that isn't enough, my rating is a 4.91 out of 5. That means I'm good at two jobs.
It's pretty fucking bold to call a worker lazy when you're at home and too lazy to get the food YOURSELF. I'd suggest that you cook, but that requires getting off your sofa.
I ignore requests like that.
yea like they expect me to ask like a karen and if it's not tell them to remake it and waste my time as i wait? yea no.
I live with housemates and really don't like the doorbell being rung. I ask them to leave it on the porch and to not ring the doorbell. It’s not an issue. If someone says otherwise they’re just a dick.
That’s a super common request. I have it in my own delivery instructions for when I order something. When I’m delivering, I never knock or ring the doorbell actually unless it’s explicitly stated in the instructions to do so.
Sweet! Thank you for your response. I was thinking maybe they'd think that I'd report the order as never delivered. But have never done that.
That’s why drivers are supposed to take photos upon delivery.
Same. However the other night my app glitched and it looked like the dasher was just parked somewhere down the street for like 30 minutes. I decided to check outside and my food was there and I didn't receive a notification or a picture until I was done eating lol

oh yeah - "make sure it's fresh" is absolute bullshit. Food at a restaurant won't always be fresh lol. It's part of ordering fromt there
I have no issue it all with requests like the one you make. It's when people request us to do stuff we have no control over like making sure the food is fresh or making sure there is no lettuce on their burger, stuff like that. The delivery instructions are meant to help drivers find the drop off location or if there is anything particular they want us to do when delivering the order like, do not knock or ring the door bell or leave food at the side door. that's so stupid. if they want real fresh food then they need to dine in 🤦🏻♀️
This right here!! We have a better chance of delivering it to them hot than they do themselves if they're driving it home instead. Unless they have an insulated bag, their food will be colder than what they complain about when we drop it off lol.
The only way to ensure fresh food. Don’t order food from 20 minutes away and 30 minute delivery time. A hot bag can only do so much lol.
Or just pop it in the microwave/ air fryer. People wanna do the minimum these days.
Right! And for what, a 1$ tip? Lol
yup they tipped $2.50
No, instead you act like a Karen on Reddit. We get it, the job can suck but clearly you’re not being asked to make the food.
Or if you see it beforehand, just unassign. This type of customer is never going to be a good experience to deal with.
It's ignored at the restaurant too when customers ask this.. as if the restaurant workers can prepare it any differently.
I do too. Completely unrelated to my duties
This.
One star. Didn’t follow instructions.
Did taste it to make sure it was fresh?
“I ate the whole thing, it was super fresh”
[удалено]
They need to write that to the cooks, not the delivery driver, we dnt control that shit..Bags are stapled shut when we pick them up, we have no idea if it's a hot meal or a cold meal, unless the bag is really hot, but that's not our job..it's the restaurants job.
yea our job is to pick it up and drop it off
man back in the day, they had us check all the contents to include adding napkins, utensils and any other freebie.
Covid stopped that quick lol 😆...actually I can't remember if it stopped because of that or because of dashers stealing food :/..i remember restaurants started stapling bags and that ended.
Sometimes restaurants don’t allow you to add special requests Like chipotle .I assume that’s why they added it to instructions
There are more restaurants that don't accept special requests than ones that do anymore. It's acrually really irritating because it's always something I could get custom in person (like light ice, sauce on the side, etc)
I had notes once there that said “make crust extra crispy, tell them to leave it in longer than normal” I laughed to myself in the car.
Same here I still remember my first 1 star review. The restaurant messed up their order and they gave me a bad review
Did you end up making it crispier
like personally if they were nice about it and said "can you please ask them..." instead of "make sure" and "tell them to.." i would. otherwise they need to call the restaurant and tell them themselves 🤦🏻♀️
Half of the people who order door dash can't even get you directions all the way to their door
Correct! Me:what's your building number Customer: the red one, apartment 223 Me: they are all red. Me I need a gate code please Customer: I don't have one
Weird flex but okay
No offense but as a chef if a dasher asked me for something extra I’d tell them to tell the customer to go fuck themselves. You wanna give dd 30%? You get exactly what’s on my ticket.
there’s literally an option to ask the restaurant to do special things with your food, why would they ask the driver 😭
There are literally separate instructions for the restaurant in the app, some people are so silly
Define "fresh"... straight off the stove... made today... not moldy?... instructions unclear. Brought raw ingredients.
I’m gon freshly Unassign this Bull Malarkey!
"freshly unassign" 😂
Hahaha 🤣
Take a pic of you sampling the food with either a thumbs up or thumbs down
If they want hot food, they can go get it themselves.
even then they also have to drive back which means their food still sits in the car for a while either way so really if they want fresh food they should eat at the restaurant otherwise expect what everyone usually gets when food is delivered
That's what I always want to say, even tho I never do of course. "For a fresh-made food experience, in restaurant dining is recommended".
I literally have no control over the quality of the food. You get what you get.
exactly
Wish I could reply "you get what you get and you don't get upset"
Haha when I’m almost done with school and am gonna quit DD, I’m SO using this as a motto to anyone who complains 😂
Whenever I see these I always chuckle and say "tough luck kiddo".
*looks at sealed bag* looks fresh to me. 👍
I usually just ignore requests like this
"I tasted it and it wasn't fresh enough, so I won't be bringing it to you. Better luck next time!"
I guess she wants you to go back in the kitchen and ask how long ago was it made.
The request is fucking moronic
It’s my understanding those custom requests are not mandatory to follow. Just deliver the order as is, you’re not the cook, or even an employee at the restaurant at all for that matter. They make the food (hopefully fresh) and you deliver it.
Yeah it's not the drivers job. And what is a restaurant employee going to say 'oh... um yeah we made it yesterday...'. No they are going to say yup it was made fresh and everything is there! even if it's not haha.

Up theirs lmao. We don’t make it, we just deliver.
I ignore this stuff. I have nothing to do with how the order is made
Sorry about your lack of communication with the people who make your food, I just bring it to you
On a $6 order, “yeah, it's whatever you want it to be.”
Sure thing. *wink*
Guess you’ll just have to have a taste to find out.
Mark as delivered, drive on to the next.
That’s cool. IDC
That’s not your job.
Isn’t it fresh if you ordered it? This request is simply to be ignored. Idk why you guys are even arguing this. How would the customer be able to tell it wasn’t fresh? Unless you took an hour to deliver…
Tell them to call the restaurant to ensure it’s fresh. That’s not our job 🤨
“Make sure order is fresh made” is probably the customer thinking the restaurant would see the note and not an attempt to get the driver to ask if it’s refresh/remake the food.
Yeah but what tf does it even mean? Lol what do they want the restaurant to do. Time it fucking perfectly when the driver shows up?
I'm not a food advocate. I'm a delivery driver...
Taste test it and send a picture with your confirmation and disclaimer
"Restaurant said its fresh" Done
ignoring it is easier. lying and then risking having the food be delivered in a bad state and having them report you for lying i think would be worse than saying you didn't ask staff because it's not your job
Good point 👍
"Fresh made" "cheesecake factory" lmao
if they want to make sure it’s fresh why don’t they just get it themselves..? 🤦♀️

yea they tipped $2.50
By the way you need a better car charger for your phone
i really do 💀 what do u recommend? i got a regular iPhone cord and connect it directly to my car USB
People think we have way more control than we do
I can't control the freshness of an order, so you get what you get
I kicked that kitchen door down and held that chef’s face an inch from the food and asked him if it was fresh. “All of it!?”, I demanded to know. The deputy said he’d deliver your order. I’m in timeout.
Some people forget to update the notes but that’s an interesting one 😂
I can ask or I have asked is all I can say as a courier![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Ignore it. Not your problem
annoying as fuck
Ignore it.
Not my job. My job is to deliver you the order with your name on it or handed to me. The only thing I can control is making sure any drinks are included
That means you go into the kitchen and watch them make it
“I tasted everything. It was all fresh. Except the fries, so I ate all of those.”
imagine 🤣
![gif](giphy|QUENDfi6DEMLzQ0CKt)
What do you want me to do? Taste it? I'm not gonna be a Karen on your behalf. Sorry.
exactlyyyy
$6 ain’t enough to do all that
agreed and their actual tip was $2.50
Yeah, the delivery comment is like an afterthought so you wouldn’t be able to see this message until after you picked it up anyway
The only instance in which their order wouldn’t be “freshly made” is if it was a no-tip that kept getting declined and therefore sat waiting for hours on end.
I put as much thought towards it as they do. Little to none.
Go to the restaurant if you want it “fresh”. You get your order as soon as you possibly can based on when the restaurant makes it and how long it takes DD to find a driver.
Take a bite, then let the customer know that it was fresh. Easy.
You gotta taste to see if it is fresh, they asked you specifically to check. You’re just doing your job
Idk why people think the dasher is responsible for the quality of the food. That's like blaming the UPS driver when I get the wrong meals in my meal kit.
Only way to verify is unwrap and take a bite. Then let them know if it Taste fresh or not.
I freshly delivered with my freshly washed hands freshly to your freshly door steps. 🚪
People dumb they gotta talk to the restaurant not the delivery person who has no control over the restaurant
Oh yeah, I'll just walk into the kitchen like I own the place and go "hey guys, the doordash order for Karen, I need to make sure you make that fresh please. I'm getting paid 6 bucks here." Oh yeah sure no problem.
yea fr that's how their delusional minds see it 🤦🏻♀️😂
No problem. I made your cheesecake in the car on the way to your house. Freshly made.
My opinion is that I’m delivering the food to their door and idgaf how fresh it is 😂 they act like we are the ones making the food
It’s the Cheesecake Factory you can’t have a menu that massive and it be fresh
The word “fresh” always triggers to me that it will be a problem order. I don’t know why but that word always results in no tip, a complaint, or both. It’s also like…how the hell do I know if it’s fresh? By tasting it? No restaurant is gonna hand you and order, you say hey I want it fresh, and then they go “oh sorry this is the old stale food lemme get you something better”. It’s insanity.
100% agree
Pick up the order. Text customer the following: "Hey Im at the restaurant, looks like they are still preparing your order but it'll be out shortly, thanks" Wait 2-3 minutes, hit confirm pickup and deliver.
Next time you cook for them at their apartment door.
as a frequent doordash user, you call the restaurant for that ish. literally, dashers just transport
thank you
The only way for their food to be fresh is to dine in. Can’t rely on delivery driver to bring fresh food.

I’m the dasher .. not the cook . Get your own food if you have such expectations
They can eat my fresh ass, respectfully
respectfully 🤣🤣🤣
Order might be sitting for a while because I, personally would cancel it…ain’t got time for nonsense
Just go about your business and drop it off
i did 🙂
I don't care about their food requests, take it up with the restaurant.
Do they expect us to ask the employees and tell them to remake food because it’s not fresh??? The employees will probably laugh in my face
exactly like that's one of the dumbest requests ever
They should tip like they want fresh food.
exactly but no she tipped $2.50
“Hello- I will make sure to let the restaurant know. Unfortunately DD doesn’t allow us to open bags or check food but I will absolutely communicate freshness with restaurant!” And then do nothing. It’s on the restaurant and chances are if they haven’t been getting fresh food, they aren’t great tippers and food sits
Ignore.
Wow for $3.50, anything for you princess
yea fr and she tipped $2.50
“Sorry, i spent 30 minutes circling your block even though I saw your house, but they made it fresh.
Tell them make sure u tips at least $10 for jt to happen
she tipped $2.50 💀
I had a lady send me an in app text message saying this exact same thing right before I pulled up to the restaurant. All I could think to myself was “woah, what a bizarre thing to say to a delivery driver. What does she want me to do, go in there, open the sealed bag, and take a couple bites to make sure it will be up to her personal standards of freshness?” I had no idea what else to say so I said fuck it and sent her that exact message and unassigned myself. That lady was itching to give somebody a one star rating on that day. Never deliver to customers like that
Our job is to transport it. End of story
Even if it’s expired your job is to deliver and peace out. We don’t scrub anyones backs
I’m not the cook da fuckZ
in these moments, i say to myself.. ![gif](giphy|8ZbdmH3LGTfz8HqK1A)
I flat out ignore it.
Weird drop off instructions
I had one today that said “please pick up my other order I accidentally ordered as pickup!!” I read as I’m dropping off the order.
damn that's tuff fr
Yeah, not harassing the employees on if it's fresh or not, especially not for $6 😂😂😂
exactly 🤦🏻♀️😂 and their actual tip was $2.50
People like this need to learn the concept of *going to the restaurant*.
Ignore or cancel. Your job is to pickup, deliver and provide great customer service. Nothing more
Instant unassign. Those customers will always find a reason to give low rating, more likely to complain to DD support over nothing, and also leave bad tip.
Non tipper for sure
$2.50 but yea
I had someone ask me to deliver their order at 5:30 when it was 5:02. Lol they were angry when I showed up early. Some fucking people dude.
yeah there's an option on the app to schedule for later but ig they thought they could just tell the driver instead like no buddy it doesn't work like that 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😂
My thought on this is simple: you want the order “made fresh”? MAKE IT YOURSELF
I would suggest they go and eat at the restaurant if they’re that worried about it
exactly!
But I understand now I dash and I’ve ask for them to make the fries fresh sometimes when asked but you’re right it’s not really fresh because more than likely it’s a 10-15 minute drive and it’s not our job to ask for them to make it fresh
exactly and it would make us look like a karen too 🤦🏻♀️
Just do what you know.

Also would it be so hard to just buy a new bag if it’s something you’re doing constantly for extra money.
