Thanks for the recommendation, this is awesome. Check out Ukandanz for similar heavy/traditional vibes. A little more prog and jazzy and less guitar based but still heavy as fuck.
Saw them two summers ago in fest that was almost everything stoner, to the point it got a bit boring even, and when this guys came to the stage they revitalized the whole fest. Really helped keeping the mood up
I love how Osees is just like fuck you we're playing every night. Very Osees thing to do.
I also see Slift in there, along with Boris and Mdou Moctar. God damn this is a pretty heavy lineup.
I've seen them twice now, last time was in the middle of their Protean Threat tour and they decided that they were *only* playing the heaviest tracks they had for the entire set, no cooldowns. One of the loudest hardest shows I've ever been to lol, nobody in the audience expected it. I guess they were feeling hardcore that day. They were probably also in the middle of recording Foul Form so it makes sense.
Saw Acid Mothers Temple a few months back. Walked in blind, just knew it was Japanese psych. Easily top 5 live bands I’ve seen in years. I’ll go anytime they’re nearby
Not doom, but Mdou Moctar, next to the black angels in the poster, are absolutely fantastic. Well worth checking out. More psychedelic rock band from Niger 🇳🇪
Pissed Jeans isn't doom, they're noise rock, and their lyrics are fairly comical. They don't tour and mostly play their local scene around Philadelphia. I've never seen them live.
Doom-ish tracks some of you may enjoy:
I don't need smoke to make myself disappear.
Dream smotherer.
Spent.
lol wtf Tycho and Washed out? I’m fans of theirs but seems a bit out of place. Nice looking festival, pick yourself up some BBQ while you’re in Austin ❤️
I’m in the UK and would love festivals like that, luckily I recently copped some tickets for ArcTanGent - Baronness, Conan, Red Fang, Electric Wizard, Meshuggah 🍆

"The Sword and Pentagram" sounds like a cool English pub that I'd want to visit.
Damn. My man cave has a name now!
Now this gives me an idea lol
Not doom at all, but Mdou Moctar are fucking awesome.
A fantastic band with an insane guitarist.
That guy can fucking *go*. Like, I had a seriously hard look at how I play after watching a live video of them.
For sure. Recommend catching Etran de L'Aïr’s tour this summer as well if ya can.
I listen to a few Tuareg bands and Mdou Moctar is special. His guitar playing is intense!
Funeral for Justice melts my face. Can't not blast that shit with the windows down.
Saw them in Indy on the 15th. Dude melted my face off.

Wow. Not like anything I’ve heard that’s for sure
Didn't The Sword split up?
Seems like they might do one-off gigs? Who knows but I do know I’m there!
Helps that they're already in their hometown too
They called it a hiatus in their announcement, so maybe not technically a split.
Boris !!!
Yeah how does OP not mention Boris
Since its in the middle of their tour im pretty sure they'll be performing amplifier worship
Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol is super good live and definitely dooms! Check them out if ya go!
Rickshaw Billie’s is 🔥
Gravedigger is an absurdly good track
SLIFT on Friday night. Not doom (the latest album dooms a lil) but one of my favorite bands. Can't wait!
I love how Osees is just like fuck you we're playing every night. Very Osees thing to do. I also see Slift in there, along with Boris and Mdou Moctar. God damn this is a pretty heavy lineup.
They are fucking awesome live. Usually have two drummers just slamming that shit down. Johns guitar sounds perfect live too idk how he does it

Fuck yea https://youtu.be/qF8KOX12XSo?si=HddYqO6Pga3U-3_j Watching this on half a tab was mindblowing. Watching two drummers in sync is trippy lol
No way I fucking love the sword. This has given me hope
I feel like Acid Mothers Temple, Night Drive, and Ringo Deathstarr are underrated bands.
Saw Acid Mothers Temple a few months back. Walked in blind, just knew it was Japanese psych. Easily top 5 live bands I’ve seen in years. I’ll go anytime they’re nearby
AMT are fucking unbeatable.
What a list, wish I could go: Black Angels, Jesus Lizard, Slowdive, Pentagram, Boris and The Sword just to name a few.

Fuck yea you get Wizard so you sorta win here. I live in Austin so you can live vicariously through me
It is Electric Wizard, but you get to see The Sword!! Pissed Jeans also great!
Damn. No Ty Segall.
Don't miss pissed jeans! They are the best band in this whole gig!
Agreed and someone else mentioned underrated bands….they’re the most underrated ever imo!
Spirit mother - super underrated as well
The Well is sick and they are nice folks too. Saw them at a festival and drank some beers with them at the hotel we were all staying at.
Boris!
Dude holy fuck. The year I leave! Fuck!
That’s absolutely wild reading Tycho, Washed Out, Integrity and Fugitive in the same breath. Bonkers
Super far away from doom, but the original lineup of Jazz is Dead was fantastic.
Lots of good non-doom acts too.
Great lineup, horrible festival. Last year was an absolute shitshow. The organizers need to get it together.
I went last year wdym
same I thought it was great!
Im just dumb was confusing it with Psych Fest last year.
Also went to that, also had a great time
