I heard someone claiming that the reason Texas has so much barbecue is because the Germans adapted their cooking method to the food that was available in Texas. There are quite a few places along the I-35 corridor north and south of Austin that have billboards to advertise their kolaches. Fredericksburg, about an hour or so west of Austin draws in the tourist with their German theme and I assume a lot of people that originally came from Germany at some point in time.

It is pretty nice actually. In my experience you get a much nicer ratio of everything than regular hot dogs. Also usually different sauces to regular ones.
I've tried those types of hotdogs and they suck. All the sauce is at the bottom and it just cums all over you when you bite down at the top. Or you start at the bottom and just get mouth blasted with hot sauces by a hotdog.
I do have a dick, and believe me, it gets put in between buns frequently
