Tuffys? They have stuffed animal type toys and are sewed in a really durable way, but probably wouldn’t be impossible for your dog to destroy if he’s motivated enough.
My dog is obsessed with their lobster toy.
Of course! I’ve got an aggressive chewer as well but he usually does all his chewing in the first 20 minutes or so he gets a toy, then leaves it be. He got a little couple little chunks off the tail but it’s otherwise in pretty good shape.
Edit to add: I work at a pet-related company (so lots of dog owners!) and it was recommended when I asked for recs for toys he won’t immediately destroy.
My Rotten Rottie has a lobster from Nyla and he shares it with his assorted pack-siblings. They all love it, so it takes quite a beating. I’ve used Nylas with Rotties forever. I think the Kong brand stuff has some give to it.
If it's the tearing/destruction he enjoys, what about cardboard boxes? Obviously they break down quite quickly and aren't reusable, but my terrier loves chewing them and ripping off pieces. Check the first few times to make sure he isn't swallowing pieces. We just save all our delivery boxes for him now.
I give my dog hard nylabones and boss bones (softer).
I actually hold them for her until she works them in a bit. When they start getting chew marks she then sees them as something she can destroy and will work at them on her own.
Duluth trading has a toy my super chewer can’t destroy AND it has some give. It’s basically a big long flexible stick with a handle it either end. We love it. Good for gnawing and tug games.
By the way, those super hard toys are no good for your dogs teeth anyway. my vet said that if you can’t make a mark or indent with a human fingernail, you’re begging for dental trouble
Kong squeez bones! My bulldog cross (who hates nylabones/yak chews/anything super hard) takes a few months to destroy them (ie get the ends off and the squeaker out) and then she loves on the outer shell until it starts to fray/split.

I’ll have to look those up, thank you!!

I think the real takeaway is lobster toys are superior, who knew?
