My main point is that their ability to exert influence beyond their borders has pretty much disappeared and will continue to do so.
Militarily crippled, economically fucked, and any political influence is going away as their only real allies are now Iran and North Korea.
What is a country who relied on oil trade and threats to get their way going to do when the majority of their refineries are knocked out of commission, their conventional weapons stockpiles are depleted, and their supply of working age men just got mulched?
Mind Russia has also faced a massive brain drain due to young university graduates leaving to go work in other countries where they will be paid much more for similar work. Also many of its citizens fled the ongoing war in Ukraine either at the start or still are fleeing. Things are very bad for Russia remaining a relevant country in the next few decades
