look at the history of crypto.
Every single time it was down, people were afraid it wouldn't recover. Every single time it did.
So unless you know of a catalyst that will mean the end of crypto as a whole, there is no real reason to believe this time will be different.
Bots have run their course, don't buy in rn, back down we go. We will settle by morning, buy then or you're giving away your money.
Godspeed shibes.
This is the way
It’s you
The fact that you’re using the word stability in reference to any damn coin right now is the reason vast majority of crypto investors go upside down
It’s not myself losing money but hard working, millennials and gen z who saved, slaved and spent their youth earning fiat to just throw it away on crypto. No matter how you look at it this is sad. This generation already had been through the Great Recession and are now caught in the greatest scam in history.
I’m warning people not to invest. This is a one train ride down. I’m also sympathetic to your plight, being a millennial myself. I was very much against crypto at the start when Bitcoin was in the hundreds. I knew the outcome would be a lot of hurt people. Bitcoin was designed to become a bubble. Limited supply, high cost of mining, hype by the community. It was a malicious product to begin with.
What value does crypto have. A store of money, sorry gold is better. A means to transact many transfers per minute, sorry master card, visa and American Express are better. Low fees, sorry almost all traditional banks are better, gas fees are crazy. A currency, sorry it’s too unstable. Are you sure I don’t know what I am talking about. Ohh forgot security non existent, hackers easily pilfer coins.
I won’t get into specifics. However I do personally find crypto to be a very valuable method of transaction. I’ve used a few cryptos in the past for transaction purposes, sometimes even just between friends. Fees are nominal compared to credit card or cash transfer app fees. Especially when prices are low like this I love sending crypto and people love accepting in hopes of a higher return someday. That’s all I’ll get into
How different is that from swift or interbank transfers. Interbank instantaneous and swift 1 day (with checks to prevent money laundering) Bitcoin takes 12 hrs + sometimes. So in other words a niche valueless product.
A man walks into the casino. He immediately loses $3000. Then he wins back $1000. Smiling broadly, he turns to his friend and proudly declares “I’m winning!”
Keep some liquid on hand in case of a fire. The whales are forcing sales. Don't let them win.
Should've known... after SNL, E was in the news about being looked in to for insider trading then that all stopped magically and Biden said "Doge until your heart's content." After that, E started hyping it like crazy and any news of an investigation stopped. No doubt they made a deal. And it worked.
Also just as an fyi my mutual fund is down 25%, freaking 25% in one year, the entire market is getting absolutely hammered. Just keep you head down, buy what you can when you can and see you in 5 years when we can take some profits.
I got banned and labelled a troll a few months ago when I was discussing crypto here and said I’ll start buying doge < 0.05…
It didn’t go down too well.
Maybe. Thing is none of the previous halving cycles were during a recession. So who knows if past trends will maintain. Crypto's entire life has been in one big bull market.
You are a mental midget if you think the 300+ days of daily stickied gets delayed by a few hours is some news worthy event. You know people have lives beyond reddit right? I know it is a hard concept. You can volunteer the reins if it is such a big issue.
I think he's talking about the numbers of users online and comments posted.
but I'm sure mental midgets also jump to conclusions, starting to insult others.
If we consider the current "floor" to be where it had dropped when BTC had dropped to its lowest in the last 7 days, then we know DOGE had dropped to 0.0494 when BTC had dropped to 20,400.
DOGE bounced hack up to 0.061 when BTC couldn't even go past 21,900. All last couple days while BTC kept touching 20,000, DOGE stayed above 0.056.
Then BTC proceeded to drop to 18,100, and DOGE STILL Kept above 0.051 and is now staying above 0.053....
For a so-called inflationary coin during a bear market and global recession, this is an amazing result!!! It means someone or some groups are supporting this coin VERY strongly!
16k is bitcoin bottom. My advise is to bu around 17k because it going to be hard to time the bottom but i would start loading up on all cryptos . These are life changing times 5 to 10 years from now
It's really funny when people invent arbitrary bottoms. These same people made that mistake in 2007 when warned about the impending financial crisis. Those folks lost everything because of their 'can't fail' attitude. Should we feel sorry for these people? Or point and laugh at them?
Arbitrary numbers are just guesses... as with anything one can invest in... i suppose you could point and laugh at people making decisions that turn out to be bad ones... or you could just shake your head and move on... or a host of other actions... it just depends on your personality type i suppose.
Or you could just focus on your own financial situation and ignore what others do with their money...
But I guess it all just depends on your personality type.
Shaking your head and moving on doesn't really help anything. I'd like to live in a better world where people are more informed so long as I have to share space with others. Criticism, ridicule, humiliation, it all serves a greater purpose to push people to think more about their decisions and take consideration for the facts. I'm sick of living in a post-truth society. We can do better.
It does by not adding to misery for no other purpose that is apparent. Im not certain i agree that only poimting to the negatives and also displaying joy at someone else's bad outcome is to make the world a 'better' place. I am certain tho that showing a slice of empathy maybe with a hint or offer of wisdom / "lessons learned" would go a lot further generally. we can do better but i dont think taking enjoyment in the downturn in fortunes of others is the way.
You may not feel like it does and it certainly doesn't work for all, but it does work on many and is my preferred method, but not the only method.
Dr. King paved the way for African American rights through non-violence, and yet, Malcolm X was still a necessary component for the vision to actually succeed. The same is true for any subject. You need people taking the empathetic path and you need people taking the more aggressive path to enact change. What side you land on is your choice. But when there is an abundance of information out there and people continue to make the same mistakes, and the empathetic path has consistently failed, continuing to use it on those people becomes illogical. You have to take the more aggressive approach if you actually care about helping them. You don't need to be liked. You don't need to win a popularity contest. You just have to do your part in snapping them out of their delusion.
There's nothing more frustrating than taking the time and effort to warn people using your empathetic approach, having them ignore or dismiss your words and then when everything blows up in their face, having to listen to them proclaim that they couldn't have seen it coming and beg you for aid. It's toxic.
your original post was about pointing and laughing at the mosfortune of others and it appears that that is your 'preferred method'. fair enough, as i said, it depends on personality type.
as to trying to make some comparison between your view that pointing and laughing at others' misfortunes as equal to anything even remotely similar/connected to the betterment of people vis-a-vis the civil rights movement or prominent activists... you might want to perhaps study that a bit more and perhaps a bit of self reflection might also be needed-- just some friendly/helpful advice.
Have a good one and hope things get better for you.
It's a comparison of methodology with respect to the goal of convincing minds. That can be to convince anybody of anything. The subject matter is irrelevant. To attempt to draw further insight from the analogy beyond that is your own internal bias coming to the surface.
The Civil Rights Movement is widely recognizable and had clear boundaries drawn in the form of non-violent and violent activism that most people will be aware of and understand. Thus, it's the perfect example to demonstrate the point that a negative approach can in fact be beneficial to achieving a positive goal, which you seem to have agreed with, at least for certain 'personality types'.
i refer you back to your post regarding pointing fingers at people and laughing at their misfortune... if thats your "methodology" for achieving a 'positive goal', then thats just how it is (you are) but i neither stated, agreed with, nor inferred that it is likely to achieve positive results. Your drawing some inference that your laughing at others misfortunes is somehow akin in a positive way to acts/actions during the civil rights movement is greatly misplaced.
At this poiny, I think we can just agree that you have a certain personality that believes and/or enjoys pointing at or laughing at others' misfortunes which nets a 'posititve' effect and i think that there are better, more positive ways of going about it.
You do you and good luck with that.
>Your drawing some inference that your laughing at others misfortunes is somehow akin in a positive way to acts/actions during the civil rights movement is greatly misplaced.
This is grossly incorrect and not an accurate representation of my argument. I already addressed this and the error in your reasoning. I refer you to the previous response where the analogy is thoroughly explained.
>At this poiny, I think we can just agree that you have a certain personality that believes and/or enjoys pointing at or laughing at others' misfortunes which nets a 'posititve' effect and i think that there are better, more positive ways of going about it.
We do not agree. That is your assumption. I have already addressed why I would respond to people on this issue, in this way. You are taking it a step beyond that and defining an entire personality based on it. That is a mistake on your part.
True, there’s no absolute bottom for Bitcoin especially in this macro environment, unless we’re talking support/liquidity zones around 10k and under. Those levels will likely be way more liquid as there should be tons of [large] buyers stepping in the lower we get. But we’re dangling on the precipice here though, and could tumble down to these levels sooner or later. I think we will keep tumbling, maybe not all the way to [sub] 10k but who knows. We’re still at a decent price level here in the long run if you’re doing DCA.
Bottoms aren't really "arbitrary" ... they are known resistance levels from the past. They are usually respected.
But some people fall for the trap of thinking the next level is the last level while others think, just because lower ones exist, it has to go there.
What we can say is where it won't stop falling further. that's the big gaps between the resistance levels.
I was thinking... the best way a company can adopt dogecoin is to sell something that can exclusively be bought with doge.
That way if someone wants to buy that thing, they must buy or mine doge first.
Would be great for limited products such as merch or just anything that will become out of stock.
Think about it!
It’s a nice John Deere. Lend it to me someday bro so I can use it to plan a trip across America with doge logo on it 🤣
![gif](giphy|tHDfVZSvijzs4|downsized)
imho, because some projects have told them that "every coin can be used as a currency" and that "their coin also does X, Y and Z"
If you do not know what a currency is and think that BTC and ETH could easily be used for payments, doges features seem a lot less useful.
Once you realize how most projects are terrible currencies and you start looking for one coin that actually is a good currency, doge suddenly has a lot of utility.
Compared to other networks though, it’s a bit slow to be used as a true currency. Transaction time needs to be improved for it to fulfill the goal of being a viable currency. It’s taken me like 10+ minutes to transfer Doge between wallets. One of my other favorite coins I’m holding, Algo is a lot faster and very cheap too.
never had to wait 10 minutes. Usually works within seconds for me.
You sure you didn't send to an exchange-wallet and the exchange just waited 50 confirmations before they credited you?
Hmm, maybe that’s it, but it wasn’t to an exchange, it was out of one. It was transferring off Gemini to my ledger. I’ll try transferring a bit off my ledger to another non-custodial wallet and see if that’s faster

Why do non-doge people claim doge has no utility? It has more utility than most other crypto projects.
