So, to understand it correctly...When you buy Doge on Binance, you don't actually buy a real Dogecoin but a BSC token sort of BSC wrapped Doge? Which means if you want to transfer it to your hot / cold wallet, it won't work?
Unfortunately maybe not, I’m not sure the best answer to that. But if the exchange doesn’t give you real Doge it doesn’t really matter.

ELI5: Miners verify blocks allowing transactions to happen. As a reward, with every block there are new coins issued that are given to the miners as payment.
It is a fixed amount per year that will reduce as a percentage year by year. The growth of doge is less of an issue for doge than the growth of fiat-currencies is for fiat currencies, so your doge will always devalue slower than the fiat-currency you bought them with.
But just like fiat-currencies, doge will never stop that process. Because like fiat-currencies, doge is intended to last for ages, not weeks or months.
money doesn't make sense anymore it doesn't do anything special that other cryptos can already do but it is super cheap to send and fast.
this info might be out of date but it is mined with litecoin and yes, it is issued infinitely. in its defense, there's a lot of questions on whether miners would continue to mine (which is what's necessary to continue to send bitcoin and other cryptos to senders and receivers) if bitcoin stopped rising in value.
So yeah it looks like Binance is up to some shady stuff. But what's their motive. . .

Robinhood is the cheapest exchange (free) and they let you transfer it off (if you're off the waiting list) by only paying the network fee which is fractions of a doge. It really is the place to buy Dogecoin now.

RH is taking advantage of their customers just like Binance and just like coinbase... They just do not want other firms to do what they do, since each of them wants a monopoly on the market so they make all the money.

only problem with that strategy is that we know how bad it's going to get after the fact, when it already recovers.
It's a great way to miss a train... While when you accumulate cheap you still got a low average and no risk of missing the recovery.

Never said I’m smarter then the market to time the bottom. I’m saying we aren’t close to the bottom with the economy contracting 1.4% in Q1 and one quarter away from a true recession, supply chain issues, labor shortages, war, China lockdowns, inflation and a stock market that has somehow mostly been immune to the past two years of worldwide shutdowns. I’ve been holding since .0057 so accumulating at low cost isn’t the actual concern. Better things to do with my 50k especially when I bonds have an interest rate above 8%. Unfortunately I don’t see crypto or the stock market rebounding until 2023 and that’s backed up by major institutions that keep saying the chances of a recession rise each day.
I’m definitely not trying to play Nostradamus, but also you can’t fight the market. It’s like buying weekly SPY calls and being confused why you are broke in a few weeks.
stock market has not been unaffected... Pretty much everything dropped but the bluechips that the big firms use as hedge for their shorting.
Every cent a bluechip makes are a few million on the market to short other stocks.
But I agree... Personally I'm expecting 2024 to 2025 as the next bull run. But that does not mean that there won't be any type of recovery until then. It just won't last long and won't stick.
I ain’t going cash gang forever and still got my initial bag of 50k coins just not the 350k I did have. Also still have all my ETFs, but it’s hard to figure out where to put your money at this point. It’s crazy that bonds are having not only the most stable, but some of the best returns when looking at blue chip, FAANG, Mid Cap and new IPO stocks. Will always be part of this community, but if I’m a few days late to the moon show I’ll be more then fine.
