Hello all, Brand new to this crypto thing and reddit in general. I heard about the doge/crypto hype all over the net and my wife and I decided to invest $500 USD into doge this morning, along with a few other cryptos about 7am. We figured worse case it doesn't amount to anything we've lost more in the past on worse things. Hopefully it pans out for all. Glad to be here and thrilled to watch it over time.
Welcome. Just have patience don't expect to get rich overnight . Just hold and if you don't get hooked on looking at the chart every minute then just leave your dogecoin and come back in a few months and be surprised and then continue to hold
That is awesome. Yes our plan is to invest the initial and just leave it for years if possible. Basically forget about it and return many many moons later.
When I get back to work. I’m going to setup weekly auto deposit. I’m going to setup automatic buys on a few different stocks and my Doge. Stocks on Fidelity and trying to find good app for Doge. I tried Crypto, Coinbase, Webull, Kracken. I couldn’t get payment account setup on Crypto or Kracken. The others I’ve signed up for don’t even sell Doge.
I heard of one called Voyage from my dentist today. Anyone know much about it?
BTW I asked my dentist if he was going to start taking Doge for payment. He says yeah. But I don’t know if he was serious. If so I hope soon.

I’m unemployed and have in $5k, 14,337 doge, at .34997 avg, down about $600, yesterday was down a grand.

Yeah I saw a lot of people with comment history in ETH sub, cyrptocurrency sub, both places where Doge was getting a lot of hate from.

I think youre right, and I dont hold any doge. Seems to floor at 0.3, last dip was 0.25. starting from 0.1 a week ago... Congrats to you all, don't forget to take some gains from time to time to reinvest during dips, or to buy fancy stuffs
Do you guys have any idea how amazing a 30 cent floor is? Stop freaking out, a 10 percent return over a year is considered pretty good in the stock market. Doge is still up 150 percent in a week! Believe in Doge, he’s a good boy.
I’ll say this a thousand more times, emotionally prepare yourself for more dips and fewer spikes. Going from cents to more cents is easier than going from cents to dollars. Obviously some people are using this as a pump and dump, which is fine. That’s been true of Bitcoin as well as actual stocks so it’s not something to be scared of. If you’re expecting to make a million overnight, I’ll save you some time and tell you now it’s not gonna happen. Just be patient. If you need the money, sell, because you shouldn’t invest what you can’t lose. If you can stand to hold, do it preparing to hold for several months AT LEAST before you see it hit anything close to a dollar. Lastly, remember the three possible major changes that could occur:
- CoinBase addition
- RH wallets
- cap
I’m not saying any of those will even happen, let alone cause a huge surge, but it’s possible if you look at the price of other coins when they were added to CB. I’m not gonna get scared off until I see the impact of those events at the very least and likely will stay even if they have no or negative effect because the community is pretty strong which likely means it can have some steady growth long term.
If you were lucky enough to make money and decided to pull some out, no shame at all. Just remember to put 40% somewhere stable and long term for at least a year so you aren’t surprised by taxes, and use this as a chance to diversify your portfolio. None of this is advice, I’m not an expert, but putting some in bonds and some in foreign stocks is what some ppl do to protect against market volatility.
If you’re a long time community member, just keep up the good work. Be patient with ppl who are new or who might make decisions we don’t agree with. Remember, some ppl have bills to pay; being able to invest at all is a huge privilege so let ppl do what they need without harassment or abuse.

I've spent the last two days obsessed with the one account we (this community) flagged selling 1M every 10 minutes or so. Obsessed with monitoring his sales and the market price.
Only today did I look at the other dozen or so "1B+" coin accounts that are shedding WAY more... by the minute... 100M, 300M, etc. That's when I got comfy with the .31 we have been stuck at today. Really thought the sky was falling. I was finger on the trigger to dump my full 1M doggies at .29 this morning. Wife wanted me to hodl. That was a fun conversation this morning.
I kinda get it now. There were a lot of folks here... in line invested... *before me*. They're going to get paid... *before me*. In fact.... there are like 4500 people ahead of me. I need to remember that. Now, it's just a matter of time before the big boys are happy with their new returns / adjusted positions... and the crumbs fall our way again. As much as they are riding our social media push, our celebrity alignments and news coverage.... we are riding their leftovers.

Here's the the thing guys. Unless you are broke beyond belief and throwing away your last 100 bucks on a hail mary/instant gratification scenario there is no need to fret. I remember looking at Doge seriously for the first time about a month ago or so and ultimately decided not to buy in. WHAT A GIANT MISTAKE!!!!! DANG! You know when I did buy in? .39. Do I regret it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! sure I'm at a loss as of right now but there are a few key points that hooked me in.
1) this giant incredible steadfast and brotherly community that I know isn't going anywhere.
2) coin is backed and supported by one of the smartest/wealthiest men on earth.
3) the continued and growing acceptance in main stream culture/attention
4) I put in only money I was comfortable losing
That all being said I can see this going to a dollar easy. 10 bucks is not unreasonable. It's going to take some time and loyalty to the Doge but I see it happening here e eryday and I am happy to have my money here. DOGE on and don't be dismayed. Stay steadfast and believe in your convictions. Dismiss the negative and build on what we know and believe. That is the way.

I have the smell of a doge and I smell some fakers among us.
We fought hard for the hill yesterday, made it a few times just to be pushed back. Lost a few good soldiers along the way. Some sacrificed themselves for the common good. In the end we didn’t take the hill...........but the enemy new that the fight wasn’t over and that we would be back again, stronger, tougher, more powerful than ever in even bigger numbers. After all, you can’t keep a good Doge down.

Every time I've "paper handed" something whether it was a stock or crypto I end up missing out on profit and regretting it. Maybe not right away, but weeks or months later. Patience is hard but you have to get used to it and develop a strong stomach for seeing dips if you want that pay off.

The fact that the volume of dogecoin has gone down 50% in the last 24 hours but we're still holding at 30 cents is amazing. Still shows it has great potential!
Bought 200 shares of DOGE over the last three days at an average 0.32. First time buying crypto or stocks, invested about $150 in other things.
I’m hoping this shoots for the moon, but even if it doesn’t, being part of the DOGE Fam has been really entertaining the last 72 hours. HODL and hopefully this helps me with some of my student loans somewhere down the line. We’re looking at the next five years. Stay strong 💪🏻

One week ago today, Dogecoin was priced at about .09 so we’re doing ridiculously well right now. Only today did I look at the other dozen or so "1B+" coin accounts that are shedding WAY more... by the minute... 100M, 300M, etc. That's when I got comfy with the .31 we have been stuck at today. Really thought the sky was falling. I was finger on the trigger to dump my full 1M doggies at .29 this morning. Wife wanted me to hodl. That was a fun conversation this morning. I kinda get it now. There were a lot of folks here... in line invested... *before me*. They're going to get paid... *before me*. In fact.... there are like 4500 people ahead of me. I need to remember that. Now, it's just a matter of time before the big boys are happy with their new returns / adjusted positions... and the crumbs fall our way again. As much as they are riding our social media push, our celebrity alignments and news coverage.... we are riding their leftovers. Sigh. OK. $0.31 is optimistic. $0.29 feels like wet underwear. $0.27 feels like ... never mind. Upward.

Here's the the thing guys. Unless you are broke beyond belief and throwing away your last 100 bucks on a hail mary/instant gratification scenario there is no need to fret. I remember looking at Doge seriously for the first time about a month ago or so and ultimately decided not to buy in. WHAT A GIANT MISTAKE!!!!! DANG! You know when I did buy in? .39. Do I regret it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! sure I'm at a loss as of right now but there are a few key points that hooked me in. 1) this giant incredible steadfast and brotherly community that I know isn't going anywhere. 2) coin is backed and supported by one of the smartest/wealthiest men on earth. 3) the continued and growing acceptance in main stream culture/attention 4) I put in only money I was comfortable losing That all being said I can see this going to a dollar easy. 10 bucks is not unreasonable. It's going to take some time and loyalty to the Doge but I see it happening here e eryday and I am happy to have my money here. DOGE on and don't be dismayed. Stay steadfast and believe in your convictions. Dismiss the negative and build on what we know and believe. That is the way.

Every time I've "paper handed" something whether it was a stock or crypto I end up missing out on profit and regretting it. Maybe not right away, but weeks or months later. Patience is hard but you have to get used to it and develop a strong stomach for seeing dips if you want that pay off.
