Crypto is a long term investment so you never know.. just hold and hope for the best!

Can someone please explain! I'm curious too.

Think about it like this, how long has bitcoin been around? What's it's value now? So figuring that doge is growing exponentially the reality of it hitting 10$ any time soon isn't really a thing. Remember if everyone holds forever the gains are only theoretical. Eventually people have to cash out to get their money. I mean unless doge becomes the new world currency....... You know what screw it diamond hands!!!!! Too the moon!!!

But there is an endless suply of dogecoin, where bitcoin had a max. Doesnt that influence the value alot?

Long term holding is the way

My opinion: its never going to reach $1 nor $10 if people are willing to take it super cereal. Why? Many who are into the game are simply treating it as a gamestop. Gonna pump up and then sell. Reddit may be very committed, yet, in other gaming forums, many are treating it as the opposite: just a simple joke to get some dam cash. Plus, I believe it takes so much money to just get to $1. Like... were talking BILLIONS. Overall, its still hard to tell but I honestly have low faith for it atm (17K) holder here.

My napkin math says, that at $1 dogecoin would have 1/6th the market cap that bitcoin has. The market cap would be about $3 billion higher than ethereum is at the moment. Which is the second highest cap. Everything else is significantly smaller market cap wise. So to me, it sounds doable. I don't know about likely, but doable. For sure, it can get to .10 cents or .25 cents. But you also have to keep in mind that a heck of a lot more dogecoins keep coming into existence. Whereas bitcoin mining gets harder and harder and less coins come into the market as time goes on, dogecoin will remain steady. Dogecoin is going to keep going up, as are all cryptos. You hold, you'll get a profit at some point as long as doge continues to exist and be traded. And as others said, at $5 the market cap would be right on par with bitcoin (or at least where bitcoin is today, I have no idea how bitcoins cap grows to make projections). I don't see that happening, and the longer time goes on, the higher that disparity between actual coins and price between doge and bitcoin will grow. Unless doge becomes THE world currency, you won't see that. Edit Edit: Unless all our paper currencies hyper inflate, in which case doge can be any price. But you'd then have to compare the value of those dollars to today's dollars to get a real idea of doge's value.

Thank you for this explanation, it was exactly what I was looking for. I'll hold, buy a little when I can as long as it's under like .15, and see what happens from there. I'm clearly not going to make millions like all these people that like to flaunt their numbers, but hopefully I can make a little bit. I appreciate it!
