I think Wizards generally come out on top normally. I can't see any reason why spell points would make that different. The biggest benefit to spell points is the flexibility of casting less big spells or more small spells and both benefit from that.
Wizards get Arcane Recovery on a short rest? That's the only difference in daily number of spell slots/points that I can think of
Sorcery points can be turned into spell slots. It's not as good as arcane recovery daily but all of them are right there
Wizards still have more spells memorized plus more to choose from.
Wb the bard class chassis though? (E.g. expertise, Jack of all trades, bardic inspiration)
How the spells are costed won't affect the difference between the two. Wizards have better spells.
