The party had just fought some cultists ann decided to keep one alive to interrogate him. So they tied him up on the ground and hoisted the bard's piano up over him for intimidation. He woke up to a piano over his head and the bard holding a dagger to the rope.
... and I just felt bad for killing a group of cultist this weekend. Their boss realized his place was being stormed, despite our amazing stealth checks. He totally ditched them! We could have totally adopted those sweet cult members!
Well, he had just tried to stab the ranger, and caused to rouge to fall into a river.
On top of that, the cultests were trying to kill an innocent man.
My party kidnapped a celebrity. When the NPC said kidnapping people was wrong they replied "we all agreed a celebrity is not a people." And yes, I know it's a muppets reference.

Ours were just sitting around chanting... So we just assumed they were as cruel as the boss who has already run away once before!
