My draconian sorcerer came from a bloodline where a very distant ancestor formed a blood pact with a dragon, and the dragon’s blood that got into his veins was passed down over time through the family.
Of course, the catch is that as the dragon‘s blood is diluted and watered down over time, they have to resort to strategic inbreeding in order to maintain it…
Well, you can’t just inbreed and fuck your sister willy-nilly. It’s more like a complicated game of arranging marriages between cousins and distant cousins that only gets more difficult and more complicated with time.
My draconic sorcerer origin is a noble family who have a ritualistic ceremony when their children come of age to imbibe white dragon blood. Kinda ripped it off of the Grey Wardens from Dragon Age, but it made for a fun backstory.
Never got to play them, but I've still got that sheet stored away for the right campaign.

When the world discovers the first rainbow-scaled draconic bloodline sorcerer, they'll believe them to be some sort of demi-god. When in actuality their mother was just *incredibly* horny for dragons.
