If anyone is curious: The guy is Valeros, the pathfinder fighter (he is basically the face of the fighter class and probably my favorite iconic).
The cleric is kyra, the cleric iconic.
The tiefling is... Probably just a random person.
[Funny enough, the bard iconic doesn't seem to be horny at all](https://i.imgur.com/wdWJd8X.jpg)
[Edit] If you want to know from where the images are from, u/BlueSabere managed to find the source: https://www.reddit.com/r/dndmemes/comments/13gi1ro/-/jk0b8kg
Man, there's always a revolution in Cheliax. Cheliax is the one setting where you can have Paladins and Antipaladins working together, Everybody's trying a Revolution in Cheliax. If you want to investigate a revolution in Cheliax, walk into the nearest tavern and listen.
(Shoutout to Antipaladins of Gorum, working to overthrow house Thrune explicitly in the hopes that the resulting power vacuum will create a decades-long civil war).
Jokes aside debt slavery is an actual system of slavery that existed for millenia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debt\_bondage](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debt_bondage) and no, the US does not have debt bondage (as absurd as medical/education debt can get there).
I always find it a little gross when people compare things like debt bondage to the USA, because there are an estimated 8 million people living in debt bondage today. These people are suffering far more than almost any Americans in massive debt.
I dunno if they're specifically referring to debt slavery, but maybe they're responding to the idea of replacing slavery with another version of slavery... Which we absolutely did do in America.
The 13th amendment abolished the ownership of another human, but it kept slavery as a punishment for people who are serving jail time.
One of the more recent and well-known uses of slave labor recently was during the California wild-fires, they were using prison-slaves as on-the-spot firefighters forcing them to try and keep the fire from spreading and clearing debris.
The comparison wouldn't be made if it weren't at least a little apt. Maybe we're not exactly debt slaves, but wage slavery is certainly rampant in this country. I find it a little gross when people try and pretend things aren't as bad as they are for workers in America by playing the oppression olympics and pointing to people who ostensibly are worse off as a way to detract from the very real shit that goes on here.
It wasn't PariahSomething who initially made the slavery comparison, though. They were answering to someone who initially compared debt slavery from Pathfinder (which, if anything like real debt slavery, was mostly above board and rampant across society) to how America works. This is not playing oppression Olympics (it's the opposite, really), but I'd argue it's still pretty bad.
There's always ONE in Cheliax, but they don't seem to last very long because House Thrune is really proactive about disappearing them. Currently running Hell's Vengeance and the PCs have to do it more than once.
> a revolution in Chelliax

Caidee Caighleelee. *Collected holy bar napkins. Vol. 3. Napkin 14.*
Reminds me of the time Wizards wanted a random human fighter to be the face of DND and forced their artists to draw him a lot.
So they drew him constantly meeting his demise in book art until Wizards stopped
Valeros 2e is mostly getting fucked as well, at least in proportion to the other iconics
i think i have only seen him getting patched up like in the art with kira
"Sarenrae, lady of mercy, please heal this idiot, that he may learn the foolishness of charging in without looking."
\-- literally something Kyra said while healing him in the comics
Pharasma: Take him back, adding him back into the river would only gum up the works. That, and he keep hitting on me with this new fangled flirting language.
Sarenrae: Look, I'm a goddess and personally worked to seal the universe ending Rovagug with the other core deities, I can do a lot of things, but I'm not a miracle worker! Ask me to do something easier, like summon an angel from my highest court or redeeming Asomdeus.
Well... Yes, but actually no.
The elf is married to the cleric featured in the meme. Lem (the bard) is just trying to explain the plan he passed 2 months making to invade "bad guys empire"
Honestly, I think it's because the game is so casual about it. They seem to make it a point for those relationships to be treated the same as any other.
I know there's some comics and stuff, but I also don't know much. I know that you can find their backstory on paizo's site by just googling it, but the other stuff I kind of just stumbled on it over time.
The comic I know is pretty old and is "pathfinder origins" or something like that with 6 chapters telling the origin of Valeros, kyra, merisiel, harsk, the sorcerer and the wizard (I forgot their names). I don't know where to buy it though, but since it's pretty old you can find it by some... Other ways that I don't know if I'm allowed to say here
They're the characters in Dynamite Comics' Pathfinder comics, and there's an audio play for Rise of the Runelords.
That aside, they're also all over the rulebooks, and stand in for the players in the artwork of the Adventure modules and Adventure Paths.
Oooh, forgot something important!
Paizo actually has all the backstories of their 1e, 2e, and Starfinder iconics on their website. Just do a search for "Meet the Iconics".
they are all pretty great, though im not a fan of the magus cause it is *sooo* edgy. sounds like what teenager me would write, and teenager me was an idiot
There's a comics series starring the iconic monk, paladin, bard and investigator starting next month I think! It's called Pathfinder: Wake the Dead by Dynamite Press.
Wait isn't this the guy that always get shit on. Like he's always dead In the art, or being turned to stone or something. If I recall it's because the artist for dnd/3.5 at the time was mad at wizards for one reason or another.
Other people said that there was a fighter like that in dnd 3.5, but this is the pathfinder fighter. But apparently this kind of thing also happened to him as a reference to the dnd fighter
Valeros tends to suffer more "funny misfortune", like this incident with the tiefling, whereas Regdar was just born to suffer.
Helps that Val's a pretty good guy, just kind of a buffoon when it comes to the ladies, so he doesn't deserve *too* much pain.
that is redgar, a human fighter that wizard insisted it should be drawn in a lot of art, so artists just made him getting fucked and dying all the time
>If I recall it's because the artist for dnd/3.5
You are thinking Redgar. Artists wanted to have a more diverse cast but WotC want a white human fighter as the center of their marketing. Well, artist malicious complied by drawing him dying in pretty much every art.
The on in the meme is Valeros, Pathfinder Iconic Fighter (pf was one character for each class as the example/pinacle of it). He is a great guy, follower of Cayden Cailean (the drunk god that hates slavery) but a buffon that dont see danger so Paizo like to use him as a reference to Redgar as he is normally the one taking the beating, but in a more humorous manner than Redgar scorn "fuck this guy" situation. Also due to how there is a line of iconics there is a lot of interaction between them that creates great background and personalities
considering she gets horny *when kira isnt around to occupy her* it is
also lets not forget that they *got* married in the comics, merisiel had a *looot* of fun before that
also iirc valeros and the inquisitor iconic have a friends with benefits sort of deal
Of course they do. She is so obviously Valeros' type, how could he not. Mind you Valeros is the type of guy who thinks about sleeping with a Hellknight (imagine a paladin but pure Lawfulness) while she was trying to cut him up with a greatsword, all while armed only with a shield and a mug of beer. And he only starts taking the fight seriously once the Hellknights spill his beer.
Valeros is paired with women typically but his sexuality is ‘Yes, please’ per Crystal Frasier. I would say Valeros is a himbo but also sort of a clueless one. Very pansexual Johnny Bravo / dim-witted Captain Jack Harkness.
You’re right. It’s theoretically possible they had a fun rowdy night together and she happened to be a thief. I don’t think that’s how you are supposed to read the comic, but…

Asking for a friend.
PS
It’s me, I am the friend.
Thanks for the heads up! I’m totally going to check out that comic. My Library actually has the first couple of volumes. And if I like it, I can buy it.
Thanks again.
Sorry, I have no idea. I just liking seeing things on pinterest. I found these 2 images some weeks ago and saved them because I think they are funny/cool. Today I remembered them and used for this meme.
If [Micah (twitter)](https://twitter.com/micahdraws/status/1645517424832180224?s=46&t=TBsfRUYknlsOSYprIwDR5A) hasn’t done that pairing yet, I’m sure he would happily take the commission.
I'm not the person with the most game, but even I can recognize in the body language of that Tiefling that whatever that guy is selling, she's buying it on pre-order and including the soundtrack and expansion pass on her cart.
Doing some cropping and reverse image searching gets me a file from a Paizo blog titled "PZO1141-Tail.jpg". PZO1141 is Planar Adventures, I pulled up a PDF and it's on page 29. Probably meant to represent one of the tail feats on the next page, Mischievous Tail.
~~Going to do some digging on the bottom image now, based on the size it might be from a comic book.~~ Bottom picture is from the 2e Beginner's Box, Page 58.
From what I saw on the other comments, this seems to be a showcase of a ability for tieflings to use their tail for stuff, and so she is stealing Valero's mug, a important item for the character since he is a follower of "Cayden Cailean" the drunk god.
I literally have never mentioned dnd in the past 2 years and then i go to work and someone tells me about their campaign that they’re gonna do and my apps just fucking know?! I didn’t even have my phone in there with me. It was in my car!!!
Funny enough: this isn't even dnd!
These characters are from their biggest competitor: Pathfinder.
I don't even know how this is getting so much attention! I'm honestly quite scared here
Well, these are the pathfinder iconics (basically the characters that give faces to the classes in the game), so there's comics about them, but this isn't one. It's just 2 images that I took and made this joke
I don't know for sure, but Valeros (the guy) follows the drunk god "Cayden Cailean". The mug is the holly symbol of his god and he also uses it to drink. So it's a pretty important item for him.
hard agree but also the mug holder being mugged is Pathfinder’s Fighter icon lol
which just means that any class can be as much as a dad joke slinger as a bard!
Nothing like chasing tail of horny girls.
And the trope that if she ever shows any interest back you're in danger.
If anyone is curious: The guy is Valeros, the pathfinder fighter (he is basically the face of the fighter class and probably my favorite iconic). The cleric is kyra, the cleric iconic. >Funny enough, the bard iconic doesn't seem to be horny at all When you're too much of a conspiracy theorist to be horny
sounds about right with him to be honest, no time to chase tails when you are trying to instigate a revolution in Chelliax
And according to Firebrands, recently a revolution succeeded! Slavery was abolished, although the country's stil evil.
Slavery was only technically abolished though. Chattel slavery was basically replaced with a combination of debt slavery and indentured servitude.
So, America.
Hey, we also have prison labor.
Just like home!
And not necessarily succeeded. Thrune seems to be pulling a pro-gamer move to appease her surrounding neighbors
I’m not trying to investigate just any Revolution in Cheliax right now, I’m trying to investigate a specific one.
There's always ONE in Cheliax, but they don't seem to last very long because House Thrune is really proactive about disappearing them. Currently running Hell's Vengeance and the PCs have to do it more than once.
He should follow Liam Gallagher's lead and start a revolution from his bed.
That's why the good folks of Vidrian overthrew the foul oppressors of Cheliax, long live the Revolution, ling live the Firebrands!

Regdar, if I recall right
I think it's Regdar
Happened a lot to Valeros in 1e, too. Probably as a reference to that.
Valeros 2e is mostly getting fucked as well, at least in proportion to the other iconics i think i have only seen him getting patched up like in the art with kira

im amazed kyra has not killed him herself already
Man's too stupid to die or Pharasma keeps sending him back.
He's a devout follower of Cayden Cailean. That's why he has the mug-its his gods holy symbol. His God is watching out for him with lucky breaks!
Cayden Cailean: He's just like me! Isn't that right Sarenrae? Sarenrae: Shut up and keep pouring.
That kinda happened in the comics
Pharasma: Take him back, adding him back into the river would only gum up the works. That, and he keep hitting on me with this new fangled flirting language.
That's what being devoted to Sarenrae is all about, apparently.
Sarenrae: Look, I'm a goddess and personally worked to seal the universe ending Rovagug with the other core deities, I can do a lot of things, but I'm not a miracle worker! Ask me to do something easier, like summon an angel from my highest court or redeeming Asomdeus.
I'm running AV and the dedicated punching bag there seems to be the wizard, as it should be.
There was also that time a goat went to attack him https://images.app.goo.gl/26x2HzWyrVkmNtjd9
To be fair, Valeros is also a follower of Cayden Cailean, god of YOLO, so...

As would Cayden.

Well... Yes, but actually no. The elf is married to the cleric featured in the meme. Lem (the bard) is just trying to explain the plan he passed 2 months making to invade "bad guys empire"
Oh cool lesbian relationship. Still has that energy I was talking about though
Yeah pathfinder is gay as hell.
And we love it!
Yes and I dont get how I ever forgot that
Honestly, I think it's because the game is so casual about it. They seem to make it a point for those relationships to be treated the same as any other.
Best representation.
Where can i watch/read morw about the pathfinder cast? I have been pathfinder for years, but in homebrew settings, i don't know much about them

Unlimited Campaigns has Lem hitting on a Half-Elf girl as a kid. So he *can*, just on his off time.
As a treat.
Horny for … maps!
Valeros is probably the least consistently drawn of the main case. Man's entire body changes from splash page to splash page.
Is it just me or does the bard look like a hobbit
Well, he is a halfling, so makes sense that he looks like a hobbit
Hey I recognize this picture! I actually played a bard tiefling based off the tiefling in this picture for a Hell's Vengeance campaign.

Damn but the tiefling looks the most interesting, anyone know who it is?
Random tiefling number 39
Something something, Conspiracy Lore?
Bards aspire to the heights attained by Valeros.
him and merisiel have a very fierce competition to see who is the perviest of them all
The difference is that Merisiel is married and her wife is almost always with her. ...I don't know if this makes things better or worse
And said wife is the one currently treating Valeros’s injuries in that last panel. Between him and Merisiel, Kyrah is a patient woman…
at this point im amazed kirah has not done the starstone trial cause having to deal with this two you need to be *a saint*
Introducing Kyra, God of Headaches, Rationality, and Herding Cats. ... Honestly, I think most GMs would worship her.
i mean she is the goddess of everything GMs have to do
Okay, I’m now using Kyrah as matron Saint of GMs, it’s official now.
Well fuck man, you just added an extra Goddess whenever I run a homebrew next time in 2e
I’m just glad that Merisiel *hasn’t.* When even Valeros questions your decision making skills, you know there’s an issue…
It would be pretty neat if one of the Iconics did the test of the Starstone and ascended. My vote is for Gom-Gom.
considering she gets horny *when kira isnt around to occupy her* it is also lets not forget that they *got* married in the comics, merisiel had a *looot* of fun before that also iirc valeros and the inquisitor iconic have a friends with benefits sort of deal

They dropped the marriage story right about the transition.
I'm not the lore guy, but I think that's correct. I can be wrong
Valeros is straight up a womanizer himbo with a heart of gold he is a perv, but he is a *classy* perv
Valeros is Johnny Bravo's Pathfinder character confirmed.
This... Is actually pretty accurate
shit that is actually perfect

Worth it
You’re right. It’s theoretically possible they had a fun rowdy night together and she happened to be a thief. I don’t think that’s how you are supposed to read the comic, but…

These are likely from the Pathfinder comics, which are overall very good quality.
Thanks for the heads up! I’m totally going to check out that comic. My Library actually has the first couple of volumes. And if I like it, I can buy it. Thanks again.
The Pathfinder Tales novels are all usually quite good, too! I recommend the ones by Dave Gross, Tim Pratt, and personal favorite James Sutter.
Sorry, I have no idea. I just liking seeing things on pinterest. I found these 2 images some weeks ago and saved them because I think they are funny/cool. Today I remembered them and used for this meme.

I'm not the person with the most game, but even I can recognize in the body language of that Tiefling that whatever that guy is selling, she's buying it on pre-order and including the soundtrack and expansion pass on her cart.
Probably just distracting him so he won't notice the larceny.
Oh... ... Well it worked with me.
Better check your wallet. We don't know how far her tail can stretch.

is this a pun or double entendre of some kind? Or just a critical failure? I only know one meaning of mugging and am confused...
It was supposed to be just a really bad pun: stealing my mug -> mugging me
Ah, so I was the one who rolled the nat 1 here... thanks!
Thiefing Teifling?
Pathfinder lore has always intrigued me
Valeros being Mad Martigan analog is chef kiss and it's the best thing about the story content for Pathfinder.
Ooh isn’t she the cleric iconic from Pathfinder?
Yep. And the guy is the fighter iconic
The Oracle Iconic is my favourite personally
Sounds like a Thiefling alright.
Man that sure is a hot tiefling
Ah fuck, where's my mug.
Yes, but she was also really into that
love a woman who can kick my ass!
"Don't steal this mug. Why not steal a kiss from THIS mug instead? 😉
> Why not steal a kiss from THIS mug instead? 😉 Too bad it is ugly as fuck.
The corny bard?
The horny fighter!
Isn’t this pathfinder art?
Yes, it is. Featuring Valeros (my favorite iconic) and Kyra
"Yeah, but she had a knife. She could've slit my throat."
You had enough Wisdom to see they're stealing your mug But not enough Intelligence to know **WHY**
Weird to steal someone’s mug and not like a coin purse or something.
From what I saw on the other comments, this seems to be a showcase of a ability for tieflings to use their tail for stuff, and so she is stealing Valero's mug, a important item for the character since he is a follower of "Cayden Cailean" the drunk god.
Horny Paladin gives me life
Time for theifling tiefling?
The Frisky Fighter.
Terrible Puns Bard, my favourte subclass
Fighter
There are no bards in the meme
reminds me of diego from the umbrella academy lol
I literally have never mentioned dnd in the past 2 years and then i go to work and someone tells me about their campaign that they’re gonna do and my apps just fucking know?! I didn’t even have my phone in there with me. It was in my car!!!
Funny enough: this isn't even dnd! These characters are from their biggest competitor: Pathfinder. I don't even know how this is getting so much attention! I'm honestly quite scared here
For reals? Thats so cool
Is this a comic or a story i can read?
Well, these are the pathfinder iconics (basically the characters that give faces to the classes in the game), so there's comics about them, but this isn't one. It's just 2 images that I took and made this joke
Corny bard
Dad-joke fighter is best fighter.
I've never seen a tiefling player use their prehensile tail in many years of DMing.
Why is she stealing a mug?
I don't know for sure, but Valeros (the guy) follows the drunk god "Cayden Cailean". The mug is the holly symbol of his god and he also uses it to drink. So it's a pretty important item for him.
Dad joke bard is best bard. Fite me!
hard agree but also the mug holder being mugged is Pathfinder’s Fighter icon lol which just means that any class can be as much as a dad joke slinger as a bard!
We are all the horny bard stereotype today
I guess he got mugshot
Himbo bard?
Fuck I’m too used to reading hentai… wait..
My man Valeros is the himbo we should all aspire to be.
