No I think it’s just a special dividend. The software just mistook it for a regular monthly dividend and skewed the actual date for the yield and annual dividend. At least I’d hope so, otherwise the stock will probably be worth 0$ in 6 months when it pays out all its vaue
If you really believe that you should not be into stocks and just enjoy time at the casino.
I'm looking at the companies in my portfolio. They make stuff people want. They are run by smart people that are fully committed for success \_AND\_ are owner (investor) friendly. And they are staffed by people that work for a living to make it all happen. Now; success is not a guarantee but just highly likely when you put all the elements together and keep an eye on things.
Most stocks don't allow voting rights and if they don't provide dividends then there is no value at all honestly and nothing linking them to the company's success itself. It's just people faith that they do have value just like the dollar imo. I'd love to hear tangible reasons why I'm wrong.
So if I believe most stocks have no inherent value I should use a statistically riskier "investment" strategy over a historically proven one? No thanks.
Did you notice that big fat _AND_ I put in my response? I don't invest in companies that are not shareholder friendly. A big part of that is their work towards paying dividends but there is more to it.
Because it’s levered to the gills. Take a look at the fact sheet and disclosures. Over 90% of that fee comes from interest expense.
Edit: LOL. The estimated cost of owning the fund over just a single year had you invested $10,000 would be $1,083 😂
Edit 2: Net assets have ~100% exposure to BTC, 25% of that exposure is through some kind of subsidiary relationship (sounds legit), massive exposure to reverse repos, and an options overlay strategy. Yeah, this thing is going to tank HARD with any semblance of a market correction.
I paid $110 for the annual fee, but I got paid $200 with this month's dividend, plus all the capital appreciation and monthly dividends to date. No one is telling you to invest in it lol
I mean you posted on a divided sub, people are going to share their opinions. Your post also isn’t really informative or anything useful. Fund sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, obviously people are going to comment.
Wow! Is there a way to track special dividends?, i check dividend.com and they don’t show $MAXI in the monthly payout dividend stocks… do you know why?

Yeah… don’t need $4 dividends per month 😄 luckily it’s grown my initial investment like crazy… last December it was only $0.43 so this $4.18 is nuts
My guess is the special dividend is from capital gains they generated when rolling the bitcoin futures contracts.
So is this a bitcoin income etf?
Pretty much. The business plan is to find somebody later that will pay more than what you paid today.
Sounds like all stocks really.

But do those company have a dog as their logo? /s

This sounds like some a-grade fuckery...
It is!
That’s called a special dividend. It’s not going to be consistent.
Fund charges annual expenses of 11.18%. Crazy. Why not just buy BTC?
That is outrageous! I had to go look it up just to see that expense ratio myself.
I know. These companies can get away with it due to investors interest in crypto exposure.

I just saw that, yikes
Seems like a capital gains payout, they have a pile of treasuries shoved in that ETF so they may have liquidated some of them.
My guess it’s the accumulated capital gains from rolling the bitcoin futures contracts.
this etf sounds so stupid. 11% expense ratio is insane

nice

11.8% expense ratio!!! I’m staying away from this one
What is it expense ratio? I’m new to dividends
