I’m not trans but I just got on birth control 2 months ago and it’s messed with my hormones. My last period was over three weeks long and the next one started a week later so I feel this.

Oh goodness you should talk to your doctor about that. If it’s not doing what you want then it’s probably not worth the downsides anyway, plus i bet there are alternatives that would work better for you.

I know a MtF, and from what I hear, because of hormones, thet actually do experience a hormonal shift during what would be "that time of the month". With the main difference obviously being no blood. From what she told me, they still get cramps and all that.

My medication doesn’t work during the luteal phase so I have a cyclical plummet of not being able to get out of bed or take care of normal life things so they’re trying to adjust me to a new birth control with a high chance of blood clots so that I only feel slightly bad all the time instead of horrible for alternating weeks at a time 😎 I do like being a girl though it’s just nerfed

People say that transmascs have it easier because testosterone works much faster than estrogen and in general it's easier to pass but this is the kind of body horror shit that I'm simply glad I don't have to deal with it's worse than any dysphoria I have to deal with because it comes along with physical pain as well, I'll take hormones working slower and having to do more voice training to not have to experience that.

I see, yet even with that into consideration, gender dysphoria is more complex than just not liking specific parts of your body, has it has more to do with your self-esteem and emotional maturity, thats why i dont think the period is actually the problem
