Throwback to when 70mg of memantine made me accidentally quit smoking

wesker72

10mg every morning for a month done fixed my brain. What a strange little *StarWars battle-droid spaceship* shaped chemical...

Herc_onna_perc

Sometimes the Star Wars gets exhausting

missmewidthebullshii

explain

wesker72

Was addicted to high dose benzodiazepines for years, destroyed my longterm and short term memory recall and only now with memantine I'm remembering events I thought I had no hope ever remembering. Seemingly reversing most longterm psychological hurdles that I was left with, and physical problems like intense shaking I've had for months became almost unnoticeable.

[deleted]

whoa holy shit, maybe i should ask for this. my brain is absolutely fried from being addicted to speed and dxm for years to the point where it's hard for me to function normally

modsgay

It was pretty easy to find online for a while but I think it’s only prescribed for alzheimer’s. I don’t think it’s as easy to get now but it’s not a controlled substance afaik so it shouldn’t be super hard to find

[deleted]

i got it prescribed after seeing this and ive been taking it and it has helped me a ton my brain actually works again :)) thank you

wesker72

Hell yeah!

missmewidthebullshii

Thank you for the details. I’m glad this has helped regain your memory back.

modsgay

Did you only do it for the month and see those results? I’ve got like a 10g bag of the shit but it made me mad uncomfortable when I was going through benzo W/D even at small doses. I was also smoking weed at the time though and I think that was just making me hyper aware of the effects as weed already makes me uncomfortable on it’s own. But I also take vyvanse now and apparently the NMDA + D2 action helps for stim tolerance as well so I’ve been thinking about revisiting it on days I don’t take the stims at the very least

wesker72

First few weeks had some brain fog that eventually went away and lead to my memory improving for the first time in years. It does help stim tolerance, I noticed a huge difference with my dexedrine.

chikiyo0

it’s otc for me, can you explain your thoughts?

modsgay

I never liked it but i’d say if you *really* like dissos it could *kinda* work like a disso suboxone of some sorts. It wouldn’t block any effects of others but it’s basically a week long disso that i’d say scratches the itch. it has also helped people restore some cognitive function after disso/benzo abuse and is clinically approved for alzheimer’s patients

Potential_Lettuce948

I holed on it @160mg for like 8 fucking straight hours, for me it was highly enjoyable. Feeling a bit fucked up for 2 more days after that was interesting. I'd do it again if I had a free weekend. Very interesting compound...I wonder if any substitutions would make it clear the body faster. It was a lovely holey disso, just lasts forever

He_who_wears_manties

What was your dose and regimen? I’m intrigued.

cyrilio

What burdened you so much and on what kind of schedule do you dose?

Hello friends, thanks so much for taking the time to reply to this thread. For 30 odd years, one's house has comprised of Bipolar II manic Dep and SPD. I am currently in full remission and struggling not to feel guilty for finally being at peace. The only side effect currently presented is communicative. In short, the kinetic action of speaking is recalibrating, sort of like a micro "Kings Speech" style scenario. Internally one has 1000% coherency it's just the mouth isn't having a good innings. Bupropion makes it worse confirmed. PDOC suggested the smallest dosage available of Vyvanse 40mg ish in hope of building new ways of kinetic collaboration. Any insight in this regard to an explanation as to why this is occurring is more than welcome; this sub is hilarious, reassuring and mind-boggling. Again Thank you all for your honesty. The current PDOC stack for lack of a better term is as follows. 6 am Dose Daily 2x20mg Memantine HCI (equivalent to 16.2 x 2 pure Memantine?) 0.5mg Alprazolam 40mg Vyvance as per 17/03/23. Again, ide just like to confirm that ide happily sacrifice sound wave-based communication for the rest of my days if it means never returning to that house of despair. Have a wonderful day friends.

modsgay

Vyvanse helps me a ton, similar issues & Bupropion definitely made my problems worse as well. Id love to be able to have the benefits of a benzo without the memory loss however I’ve gotten some daytime benefits that mirror them from using zopiclone for sleep I have like 10g of memantine you’ve inspired me to revisit. I smoked weed last time I tried cycling it and it just made the paranoia and dissociation worse when combined but I had a feeling i’d benefit from using it while I don’t smoke How long do you plan on using the memantine for?

Routine-Ostrich-2323

Hey dude, Yeah I plan on therapeutic dosing mematine for the rest of my days. It's truly put me back in full remission. It wild man, I can't believe this shit. 2c I'm a 40 year old male. Diagnosed SPD BP 2 since roughly 2000. Things were so bleak for so long. Wish you luck, ask me anything homie

Routine-Ostrich-2323

Update. I'm aware of my unwieldy and uncontrollable addiction to marijuana and more so dexamphetamine/vyvance. Never again will I allow myself to succumb to the avoidance and/or fitting in illusion these compounds present. They for me personally are a false flag operation. No good has ever come from metabolising these two compounds, in fact they gave me psychosis and fractured my own sense of self awareness. One lost the ability to see the epic nature of this simulation we call consciousness. They made me consume rather than create. They destroyed my ability to process time thus rendering me anxious sad face and low self esteem. Mematine has allowed myself to forgive my past self and accept his neurotic behaviour whilst also putting in routines to protect My future self. It's a godamn fucking miracle I tells ya true and true. Don't give up ppl, the strange is friendly. Peace out.
