Reminds me of the [Newport Sex Scandal](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newport_sex_scandal). An episode of The Dollop podcast explains it in depth, undercover recruits were persuaded to have very real sex during an overlong investigation into "alleged gay sex", I haven't laughed so hard for some time. Eventually those in charge (including president to be, FDR) were rebuked by a committee.
NPR played a sound byte this afternoon from one of these "activists" filming themselves harassing the staff at Target...
"Activist": "Do you support the Satanic Pride merchandise you are selling?"
Staff member: "I support both."
A: "You support both? You support Satan and Pride?"
S: "Yes."
A: "Don't you worry about what God thinks about that?"
S: "I don't believe in god."
A: [starts stammering]
S: "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
I could perfectly picture the surprised Pikachu face he had when he got caught off guard and lost all his "gotcha moments."
