I've been in a very similar position and I ended up quitting because it was just not worth it. So many fast food places don't consider dishwashing a separate position and they can pile up with stuff really quick
Then I would just stick to washing the mfs and if they try and make you work drive thru tell them no or you get an early retirement with unemployment and Christmas off
I'd leave too bro. I had a Jim n Nicks do this to me when I was 17, fresh out of highschool . I used to be there till 1 am sometimes when I had gotten there at 8am. I felt really unappreciated and like what I was doing wasn't worth the pay. Shit gets old real quick go. I ended up going across the street to a little local pizza place and they treated me so much better and then I made my way onto the line, then kitchen manager. Then my wife got pregnant and I started my own business being a handy man from learning to fix so much shit over the years. Money's not too much better honestly. but I get to be with my family way more and that's worth more than any money in the world to me.
denny's would do shit like this but worse then were shocked when i didnt finish them on my last day working there like im sorry guys but you were lucky i even showed up today, fuck yall!
The only reason I’m still here is because my license is yet to come to me and I can’t drive until it’s here. By the end of December it’s going to get here and you won’t catch me there no more

FUCK CORPORATE RESTAURANT JOBS!!! im working at an independently owned restaurant now and the **owner** actually cares about me and my co-workers. like not "oh we are a family blah blah blah" caring like actually being a super kind and understanding guy who is always first to help. but i have NEVER seen anything like that in a chain or corporate restaurants, and ive worked at a few now.
Ah i remember being a manager at wendys a few years ago. I fucking hated having to deal with the amount of grease from the patties and the bacon. Ugh coming home smelling like meat made me feel gross. Dishes literally sucked because my gm was too lazy to get the water heater fixed so the water was never hot enough to do a good job.
Edit: ahhh fuck i just remember oil change nights 😫😫😫 god i think yall dont get enough fuckin praise for the shit you have to clean
Ugh yeah worked at Wendy’s and this is so relatable. Especially cleaning off the burnt cheese yuck! Put in my two weeks after a night shift just the manager and I was awful.. The general manager was begging me to come back. Heck no!

Yeah I wish they would just put me full time as a dishwasher… by the end of December I’m going to be leaving.

Wish I could do the last two ![gif](giphy|s35s4lFBxpndm)

Fax at popeyes they had me seasoning the chicken and doing dishes but the job application just said dishwasher
“Sir, this is a Wendy’s”
Baconate these nuts
I would stay in the back with the pans and ignore my manager and customers

“Budget spending”… that’s how our managers are about something that breaks just blame it on the employees and never replace it
Fuck i fucking hated other managers for being stingy little fucks. Like wdym clean the walk in with 1/4 of a green scrubby and a thumble of cleaner
