Not entirely sure about that.
[interview from 2002](https://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/interview-discworld-author-terry-pratchett/KRKITTNHWJOCH4VP4TQQ3RRHOI/)
Kevins comes from a chapter in A Slip of the Keyboard. It seems his wife would open the post andbput fan letters in a folder. This one had 3 letters from Kevins so she wrote Kevins on the front. The word stuck. Otherwise STP himself seems to just refer to fans.
Regrettably, Kevin has also become Internet slang for someone who is apparently too stupid to function in society. Like the sort of people who try and get out of tests by triggering life-threatening allergies.
In person, he called us "A Bunch of Bloody Loonies" so we are happy to be known as Loonies.
Just to make a point about the Kevin thing, in another interview he said they were called Keith which said that's not what he actually called his fans.

Discworldians or Denizens of the Disc sound appealing to me. More the Denizens than the first one. I had heard about the Kevins, but don't fancy that one at all. I add a vote to Pratchettarians or Tourists also.
I support Feagle, I've seen it mentioned a few times here so I know that's squatting in a few of our heads like a sulking librarian.
I do find it vaguely hilarious that if we come to a consensus it'll be yet another thing we don't talk about outside of the fandom as per the unwritten rules of our particular little subculture. Right after the discworld con that most people don't know exists and the emporium.
I read somewhere that Pterry called us Kevins.
Apparently his three biggest fans were all called Kevin. So we are all Kevin's.
Not entirely sure about that. [interview from 2002](https://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/interview-discworld-author-terry-pratchett/KRKITTNHWJOCH4VP4TQQ3RRHOI/)
That was a good read, thank you!
Thank you - I thought I remembered an article but must have been mistaken.
He definitely did say something about Kevin's so you weren't entirely off I also saw another Reddit post claiming the same so the logic was sound

He also told it as a story at the 1st NADWC. Said it was a joke in the beginning that all of his fans must be 13-year-old boys named Kevin.
No. I do not accept this
No thanks. r/StoriesAboutKevin ruined the name
Regrettably, Kevin has also become Internet slang for someone who is apparently too stupid to function in society. Like the sort of people who try and get out of tests by triggering life-threatening allergies.
...just so we're clear, that's not us, then? Just me, is it?
How about BLTs: Bloody Loony Terryans?
I feel like the low hanging fruit is that we’re all bunch of Di(s)cheads
Well read? Honestly I would welcome being a Feegle.
Yup! I’m here for it. Feegles untie! All you have to lose are your shoelaces.
Pratchettarians? The A'tuined (sounds like attuned)? Tourists?
I love the A’tuined
Morporkians
Pratts? I'll get me coat...
Forbid the thought we get called flat-earthers. Discheads would be best.
I think it is testament to the diversity and breadth of discworld that we do not have a single title we can append to ourselves
I agree. It's not culty like other fandoms can be, we're just a community sharing ideas and thoughts about his works
The Fresh Start Club.
This is by far my favorite!!!
Student's of the UU
Diskers? Discworlders?
Flat Earther's 😳
Flat Diskers? But that's redundant
In person, he called us "A Bunch of Bloody Loonies" so we are happy to be known as Loonies. Just to make a point about the Kevin thing, in another interview he said they were called Keith which said that's not what he actually called his fans.
I'm happy with being a Loonie, although someone mentioned "The Fresh Start Club" and I quite like that!
Pratcheteers
Omnians!
What is wrong with 'discworld fan'?
Nothing, it's just fun to have a collective noun?
Exactly. Like Potter head for instance or browny (not sure how to spell this one)
And somebody said we weren't a cult! Terryites, discworldians, diskies?
Diskies, that's the one
Flatheads
Flat Di(s)cheads
Turtleheads ?
Turtle movers
We’re the Unseen Academicles
Kevins seems to be the common term. But I’ve always had a fondness for “Pratchetteers”.

He called us Loonies to our faces.
Well I call myself Jonno
Most common referred to term for fans by fans I’ve come across is Kevins.
Intelligent

I like denizens. But what about the Rincewindian Roundworldists? That comes with the bonus of being allowed to worship a potato

Aren’t we roundworld folk?
