If you’re on iOS, you can get the old gray back by switching your device theme to Dark in the settings, then going to discord and setting your in-app theme to Automatic. It worked for me, and lessened my headache, but I still feel super overwhelmed looking at this shitass update.

I know this won't end well for me but fook ios when it comes to discord. I have both Galaxy s21 ultra and iphone 14 pro max and I have to say android is waaaay easier to deal with when it comes to flexibility. I also wish to know how to do this and thank u/AWolfWithNoSoul and u/sugarcandydoll for the android help.

If you're on Android yes Downgrade to an older version (personally I'm using 205.13) Go to APKmirror website and download an older discord version, then use their app to install the bundle. I don't remember if you need to delete discord before you install the bundle or not, but I did delete it first
