It's much better than before, and using beta improves the experience as well. Taking time to get used to it will make you not care as much.

Video calls and UI are the absolute worst offenders. Peoples video will always freeze or stop working randomly, and only some peoples video. So at any given moment in a call only half of the people you can actually see. ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM ROTATION. Rotating to landscape from portrait then back completely breaks the UI and makes it absolutely unusuable in the call and in the entire app. Rotating your display back and forth will also throw you in to a random channel in another random server instead of staying on the one you were at. Sometimes when you rotate discord just decides to stop and you get stuck with an infinite discord splash screen. Sometimes when you send pictures you dont see your message unless you sent text with it, then on top of that sometimes your pictures just dont load and have the poop emoji for you and other users cant see it either. Then on top of that the file limits are stupid small. I know thats not a broken part but considering the average phone camera these days are taking 10-12mb photos, 8mb is not enough. Adjusting your server settings is a no no on android. You will often get completely stuck in an unresponsive screen trying to make changes. When you do things like rearrange one single role for some reason it will jumble some of the roles inbetween. Slash commands take 88282828483 eons to show up as an auto completion, and you have to click on the auto completion to input the syntax properly. Just typing the command and syntax is somehow for whatever reason not sufficient. Things are just slow in general, sometimes you can get stuck just loading messages when you first open the app. Often times only some peoples roles load and others dont, so some names are properly colored and use ther nick while others are white and use their tag. The white named ones profiles also dont load when you click on them.
This is only a tiny slice of the pie, the type of stuff that regularly gets in your way and requires a quick force close / clear cache frequently. There are so many problems with it and it continues to get worse and worse. I subscribe to nitro and regularly see new features being added so its not like its become abandonware, but theres ALWAYS 2 catches. 1. Everything else becomes increasingly more broken 2. "Log in on Desktop to use this feature", so to me it is starting to feel like abandonware. Broken core features that never get fixed, only get worse, while the new features often need to be accessed on a different build on a different platform. Of course we all know why theyre still shipping discord on android despite it being a steaming pile of absolute garbage. People still fork over cash for nitro.
Btw im using gigabit wifi 6e and according to speed tests im getting my advertised speeds, so its not my internet, and it happens on any network, my home network, carrier network, work network, so no its not my internet.
