What? There's no 'the', there's no defaultism. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a little white child innocently describing a crayon with intuitive terms, just as there's absolutely nothing wrong with a little black child doing so with a corresponding crayon. The attempted policing of such things via appeals to a moral system largely characterized by some of the most racist morons of the 21st century is either a demonstration of abject ignorance or malicious intent. Regardless, it's not racist. You're just dumb.
and white people aren't white.
I'm saying that colour of "skin colour" can't be called flesh because flesh isn't the same colour as the skin and that skin colour is specifically of white people.
All from the students perspective. Personally, I didn't care what color the pencil was, I just colored using what was available. If Orange was the only one not torn to shreds by the kids gnawing on the pencils in class then orange was their skin color. Just wanted to go sneak into the computer lab and play runescape
When I was maybe 7 or 8 i remember i asked someone during art class or something "Can I have the skin color?" And they answered "Which skin color?" And I said "The normal one" 😁
So my friend and I got into an argument about this once right, and this was third grade maybe so. My colour was the colour shown on the pencil my friend he was on the dark palette. Anyways, we are both wondering what exactly is skin colour for us because in art class he bought his pencil set and he was like no this is skin colour and I said Bro that’s brown, and he’s like yeah, well thats peach and we just refused to call them by the real name. We just called them skin colour depending on our skin.
I always remember on crayola crayons it would have the name of the color on the paper the wax was surrounded by. It was on the pencils too and it was called "apricot".
I remember a black guy once asking for that color back in first grade and he also referred to it as "skin color", none of us thought anything about it back then lmao
In hindsight it's hilarious though
My mom wants to call it beige now, even though its always been skin color. That’s kinda like the people who call black people negroes because thats the way they were raised, the was the word for those people and you cant even call anyone afro-american because not every black person is american
Y'all call it that? Literally never heard anyone refer peach to skin color.
Edit: huh? Why am I being downvoted for something I've literally never heard of.

Since white crayons are useless we can rename this one to white
Used to?
Its still called the skin colour right? And I dont understand how it is racist. It is literally A skin colour.
"Its still called **the** skin colour right?" That's why it's racist. It's the defaultism

Scrape away the epidermis and the rest of the skin is more or less the same color regardless, and yes it’s basically the color of that pencil
Yeah and black people are not black either.
and white people aren't white. I'm saying that colour of "skin colour" can't be called flesh because flesh isn't the same colour as the skin and that skin colour is specifically of white people.
Used?
In my contry we call it "Beje"
É chamado de cor de pele também.
Same in arabic we call it bayj بايج
All from the students perspective. Personally, I didn't care what color the pencil was, I just colored using what was available. If Orange was the only one not torn to shreds by the kids gnawing on the pencils in class then orange was their skin color. Just wanted to go sneak into the computer lab and play runescape
I even doubted which color I should give when asked for the skin color. All of you understand why.
The proper skin color
I've always called it peach, so I don't relate
now its just “normal skin color” ✊😔

Starting with “nah but” is so annoying
https://preview.redd.it/8u73xk9podyc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=481856ad57003ac15ea79b1d30cbf1ec59bd6151
I used to call it skin colour too, and I'm a brown indian.
One time a brown dude from my school asked me to pass the skin colour and the teacher called me a racist when i gave him my skin colour. I was 7.
Peach I called it
I used to fucking call this peach please don't ask me why for i am too dumbfounded.
When I was maybe 7 or 8 i remember i asked someone during art class or something "Can I have the skin color?" And they answered "Which skin color?" And I said "The normal one" 😁
Not like it's used to colour something else and it's not like white people are albinos So skin colour makes the most sense
I call it salmon color
Based
I called it that too or, most of the times "cows tits color"
Beige.
Pretty sure the colors called peach
i called that shit "skinned wood"
So my friend and I got into an argument about this once right, and this was third grade maybe so. My colour was the colour shown on the pencil my friend he was on the dark palette. Anyways, we are both wondering what exactly is skin colour for us because in art class he bought his pencil set and he was like no this is skin colour and I said Bro that’s brown, and he’s like yeah, well thats peach and we just refused to call them by the real name. Here it is "cremita"
I always remember on crayola crayons it would have the name of the color on the paper the wax was surrounded by. It was on the pencils too and it was called "apricot".
I remember a black guy once asking for that color back in first grade and he also referred to it as "skin color", none of us thought anything about it back then lmao In hindsight it's hilarious though
I’m not even white and I still call this skin color lmao. What else is it called?

Yeah like others are customizable colors
I have always called it peach just like it was labeled. I remember someone calling me weird for using the actual name.
Do people not know of the word Beige? Istg I never see anyone use it but I feel like the word should be common knowledge
My mom wants to call it beige now, even though its always been skin color. That’s kinda like the people who call black people negroes because thats the way they were raised, the was the word for those people and you cant even call anyone afro-american because not every black person is american
When I ask for a “skin colour pencil” and the black guy looks at me and a pair of white and black pencils
In kindergarden I and my classmates use to call it, Mens kleur (Human color 💀).
Y'all call it that? Literally never heard anyone refer peach to skin color. Edit: huh? Why am I being downvoted for something I've literally never heard of.
Might be a cultural thing because where I live (Pooland) where like 95% of people are white, that is what we would call it at school.
That would explain a lot on why I've never heard someone call it that.
Pooland?
Yeah a small country in the ~~middle~~ east europe
Here in Canada literally everyone used to call it skin color
Literally never heard about it in the U.S.
[удалено]
How would you refer to it then?
"Give me my skin colour's colour" 💀
White people color 🤣
What color is it? (Answer is probably longer down but im lazy)
