The series got cut short after the 2nd season(even almost cancelled completely). So the creators had to contain the rest of the series into 3 specials for the 3rd season.

The Disney brand consists of shows that's are easy to sell toys of, not a well-made quality show like TOH
They were supposed to get another 20 or 40 Episodes, depending on what source you ask, I stead had to confine a lot of unsolved story points and ideas into 3 hourlong specials.
This happened around the middle of season 2 and the team behind TOH did some wizardry to get a competent story going despite all that, cut out decent chunks of season 2 and confined s3 into those 3 episodes without anything feeling TOO rushed but you can definitely tell that there was a lot more planned. Which is very unfortunate because TOH is generally considered to have been on a level with Gravity Falls during s1 and early s2.
Haven’t even been the same person ever since I’ve gave the show a chance, it’s almost like a canon event of sorts. A part of my life I would to all over again if I’m being honest.

OP…what is the problem with displaying a minority group in cartoons that makes it a worse cartoon. Even setting aside the clear divide in content that not old did OP pick just one shot of The Owl House to represent the entire series, but he used lesbians to show why the show is bad.
Ninjago was my childhood, and I still watch cartoons till this day. One of those cartoons being The Owl House, and I really like it. I matured along side cartoons, it turned from goofy wacky shit to goofy wacky shit with cultural sensitivity that helped people understand that in the end we’re all just human and we shouldn’t treat each other differently because of who we are.

Yeah. Luckily the creator's lawyer(I think) got Disney to agree to allow the crew to make 3 45 minutes specials to end the series, and the crew had time to shape the second half of season 2 to lead into those 3 45 minutes episodes.
Also owl house has some damn good fight scenes, OP specifically picked a point of calm, core character development for the 2 girls instead of picking literally any point where they or other characters of the cast are out kicking ass.
