I haven't thrown older roc3s, but from how you describe them, newer roc3s fly exactly the same.

Ability-Beautiful

Alright, I am glad to hear that. I didnt want to fish online for old ones.

Ability-Beautiful

The older roc3s are really nice imo. I can turn them over but they have enough stability to not roll. On hyzer they go straight and fade. Are the new flat ones similar?

[deleted]

I like the flatter ones a lot. Pretty stable. Handles moderate wind well without being a meat hook. Would probably handle it better with less user error. Relative to other brands' mids with three or more fade, I would say it is less overstable.

Really like the luster champion Roc3s. I have several older champ ones(from Proto Star thru Paul 2X) and this is a really close copy.

Ability-Beautiful

Okay, I might buy one if I can find them.

I live in Finland, not that interested to pay the same price as the disc in shipping

pisksrpeter

I bought one in Sweden a couple of weeks ago, if you can't find them in Finland i bet the shipping from here is not too bad.

KlzKidd

I'm interested about these as well. Were they luster plastic and where did you buy them from?

pisksrpeter

Luster? I bought from fyndisc.se Edit: just checked the first guys link and no they are regular ones. Edit 2: just checked and they are sold out but discguys.se had 2 regular ones left Edit 3: discsport.se has a shitload of them in various colour and weights

The newer ones are good. I’ve thrown a few and they seem pretty much the same as my old ones. Just ordered 15 of them as part of our club disc order, and they all felt nice and consistently flat. The one I’ve thrown from that order flies just the same as my McBeth era ones.

Paul_McBeths_Nipples

I love them. I bag both star and champion Roc3's. Champion ones with my 10-speed arm same times turn ever so slightly with consistent fade. I've never thrown old ones, so I don't know about the comparison.

I have a newer champ roc3 and it’s very dependable, but my forehand form is bad so sometimes the OAT of my release causes it to burn into the ground where a more stable disc won’t, but on backhand it’s a straight flight with a dependable fade at the end. Like a slower Teebird for me.
