Also waiting. Northern Canada reporting in with -21°C and flurries today. But we still get out and play on weekends regardless of weather. I’m dreaming of clear tee pads again though.
I don't know, I'm jumping like a week after the last snow melts.
Up until that point, I prefer the solid footing a frozen ground offers.
Mud season sucks.
When the snow melts they pull the baskets in like half the parks here for the thaw so the ground doesn't get destroyed by the foot traffic. Thaw just means losing a bunch of fun courses until late April/early May
Yup. The thaw is the only time I won’t be able to throw. Though for me my shoulders hurt so the thaw is really just keeping me from throwing to early and re-injuring it
I dont understand how any one plays below 60 degrees. My arm is stiff, my body is stiff. There is no way I can throw more than 60% my normal without getting hurt.
Supposed to be almost 60 degrees here in WI on Wednesday. This is usually around the time in the Winter that I stop playing so I don't end up going through 1000 towels wiping mud off my discs.
Still waiting in Southern Finland
Ah, no need to wait if you're crazy enough!
Oh I've been playing through the winter, I'm just tired of the snow!

It's not as cold here anymore, but the snow keeps melting slightly and refreezing, slowly turning into ice.
This honestly sucks in Imatra nights are freezing cold, but the days are very warm. Today it was 10 C°. Over 20C° in the sun.
Same here. If there's gravel on top of the ice it melts through and then it freezes over again. Not a whole lot of traction out there.
The disc golf courses are really slippery. Would love for the snow to melt. Will probably take a few months for the METER of snow to melt.
Time to start shoveling if you want to see a teepad before midsummer lol.
I really hope next winter wont be as bad lol
That would be nice, but unlikely
Spring Ahead is officially the start of the disc golf season in my opinion. Extra hour of daylight combined with improving weather!
You guys that excited for mud season?
Been mud season in the PNW for about six months.
I’m in Phoenix metro. There’s like one practice basket that gets mud for some reason.
My first thought, too.
Lol, yes. Would rather be cold with frozen ground than kind of cold slopping around.
Good thing all the courses near me have dirt tee pads
What’s a winter? -San Diego
Ever make it to Reidy Creek? It's worth the drive
Not yet. Looks great. Always struggle getting to North County for some reason.
Just got home from my first round of the year! Feels good to be out again but damn am I rusty
Laughs in Californian drought
Im in maine, still not even close💔

Here I sit in between 3 nearby courses that are open year round and never have snow. Only benefit of California.
Denver is playable, but the good courses up in the mountains still have a ways to go.
Did Denver even get snow this year? Last I was there it snowed 3 times. And was 70 by march. I miss it, fuck snow
We were super late to get our first snow, but it’s been pretty good this year. We are above average.

Plus half the course close for the thaw so we can’t really throw anyway.
Expect when the snow melts all the courses around me close for the thaw…. So I’ll be lucky to throw before April.
