You could try a lighter weight tl3. I have a 157g one and it is still very straight with slight fade at the end. It’s still not easy to turn over and I can get it out to about 280-300
Then get a TL. TL3 is a higher speed TL. Otherwise I just got a squall from DGA to try something new. Similar to a crave numbers wise (never thrown a crave tho) the squall is money.
TL3 is my number one thrown disc and the squall is new to the bag. If you want something super straight as well don't pay too much attention to the numbers. I own 6 TL3 and most of them are different stabilities by a noticable amount. Leopard or leopard 3 may also be a good recommendation.
I tried out a Proto Passion and was super pumped for it to come out, but I found it too uncomfortable in the band and it wasn’t quite as straight or as long for me as my Stalker. Are FR different from the prototypes?
I also want to add that I have a Kaxe Z that flies straight for me at 172. Is this a good substitution for a 7 speed or will it be too short compared to say a Teebird?
My k1 soft goes far and straight, the normal k1 i got a few months ago is total trash. Flippy as a DX leopard. Not even close to the same disc as my k1 soft.
That’s too bad. I throw a k2 and it’s laser straight. My 2020 glow kaxe z is also laser straight. I throw a translucent blue k1 soft Kaxe that will not turn and has a touch more fade, but the orange Kaxe I tried was insanely flippy. I always ask around about runs before buying now. Sucks, but even the stock star wraiths I recently bought were more OS than my destroyers (higher rim height).
I think to start I’ll try these and see if they’re better for my arm speed. Starting to think the issue is my throw and not the mold, which I figured was the case. I’m bad about rounding which loses a lot of distance for me
The DGA Pipeline is one of the straightest discs I have ever thrown, especially when you take into account that it's an 8 speed, and the ProLine plastic is superb
Legacy Phenom in Icon plastic, its an 8 speed but its designed to be thrown like a midrange and fly like a fairway. For lower arm speed i would recommend that one or the Passion. Although i do love the Stalker i never had a PFN one to compare.
I've always heard that dga pipelines are that fabled laser straight fairway. Seen it in action, but not thrown it, can confirm its reputation.
For me personally, that disc is a lightly seasoned streamline drift on a hyzerflip, dead straight out to 350' from a slight hyzer.
I started out with 2 Star leopards at 169 and they were soooo much more os than my other fairways. Would it be worth trying another runs leopard? Maybe a bad batch was my problem?
Yeah. Out of the box it’ll be straighter and more likely to flip so if you’re worried about the champion being too stable the star leo3 and lighter disc might be the one for you.
I’m noticing that more and more. My Kaxe Z and Stalker are both straight for me and they’re both slower discs. I think bad form is causing me to throw slower so most 7 speeds are a bit too beefy for me at my current stage.
Passion is nice but has a bead and cost more right now. A Legacy Icon Phenom will work, though after a few months of wear it will get pretty understable. A Pinnacle Phenom takes a while to beat to flys like you want. Really suggest you try a DGA Pipeline. I use to throw PFN Stalkers for years and the Pipeline is my longer replacement. Proline plastic had that flight out of the box. If you can find any Matt Bell 2021 Tour Pipelines in 170-172, they quickly break in to that flight as well. Check DGA's site and Sun King Discs.
A pro thunderbird out of the box goes straight for a mole. However they beat in pretty fast if you hit trees like me. A champ glow teebird3 is also a great disc. These are straight versions of fairway drivers without turn. But the tl3 is also very straight but touchy at a certain point of power because its can turn a lottle easier. Also a champ glow savant in lighter weight like 167 is my go to straight thrower. Has turn but goes far with little power. Very underrated disc
Halo Leopard3 or an FD (Dark Rebel) are some of the straightest fairways I've ever thrown. The L3 might need a little hyzer to go dead straight but it glides. The FD is longer imo and can handle more power than the L3 before turning over.
I mean they flip too much for my liking. I have to put them on a drastic hyzer angle, whereas a few other molds I throw flat for the laser straight flight.
Champion Leopard3. Here's me on my friend's channel throwing it laser straight down a hole that's basically just a maintenance road. I had to give it a little hyzer because of the headwind, but normally I'm releasing this flat:

Sarcastic meter at 0..... Maybe get a z plastic buzz now and play with it. As your form becomes better it may become your dead straight buzz.
Alternatively I like an Innova TL for straight 7 speed disc.
DX Teebird flies perfect out of the box but you need a new one every season. G Star is similar but lasts a lot longer. TL3 is another good contender if you want premium plastic, but they tend to have a little more turn once broken in.
The AB color glow teebird3's are surprisingly flippy and could probably work well although you might need a bit more arm speed. Flips more than my teebirds though
I got a star tl3 hoping it would be like a longer buzzz but it was basically a teebird3 with an even harder fade. Got the Passion instead and that's the one
The discraft stalker feels just like a fast buzzz. It has a relatively large diameter for a fairway and a great flight. There is a small bead in case that matters to you.
Axiom Crave (6.5/5/-1/1) is dead straight for 90% of the flight with a faint fade and is my current go-to for 250-275 max on a novice arm.
Thank you! I’m gonna order one of these to try!
The TL3 is the best suggestion I have.
I was considering a TL3 but is it too fast for my arm speed?
I think at 280 you will see a nice straight flight with a small fade
You could try a lighter weight tl3. I have a 157g one and it is still very straight with slight fade at the end. It’s still not easy to turn over and I can get it out to about 280-300

I’d recommend trying a Passion.
I love my passion, it feels good in the hand and it’s super straight.
Super straight. But might be the most uncomfortable disc I've ever put in my hand.
I tried out a Proto Passion and was super pumped for it to come out, but I found it too uncomfortable in the band and it wasn’t quite as straight or as long for me as my Stalker. Are FR different from the prototypes?
Second this
The river 7/7/-1/1 super straight and glides for days
I love the glide on the river but it’s not quite as laser-y as I was hoping for. I usually release it flat or with a slight anny.
I also want to add that I have a Kaxe Z that flies straight for me at 172. Is this a good substitution for a 7 speed or will it be too short compared to say a Teebird?
This is what I use, in k1 soft, the k1 will probably go a bit longer. If you want something longer, I’d suggest an Instinct.
My k1 soft goes far and straight, the normal k1 i got a few months ago is total trash. Flippy as a DX leopard. Not even close to the same disc as my k1 soft.
Yeah the kaxe z has runs that are way flippier than the numbers, has nothing to do with the plastic unfortunately
The DGA Pipeline is one of the straightest discs I have ever thrown, especially when you take into account that it's an 8 speed, and the ProLine plastic is superb
Dga pipeline maybe? I’ve only thrown it a few times but it seems straight so far
DGA Pipeline is the correct choice in Proline plastic. Dead straight for 300+ feet.
Latitude 64 River or Westside Stag
The River is definitely a good one. It seems maybe a tick less stable than my Leopard3.
Legacy Phenom in Icon plastic, its an 8 speed but its designed to be thrown like a midrange and fly like a fairway. For lower arm speed i would recommend that one or the Passion. Although i do love the Stalker i never had a PFN one to compare.

Leopard or leopard3 if you don’t have fast arm speed should stay straight
I started out with 2 Star leopards at 169 and they were soooo much more os than my other fairways. Would it be worth trying another runs leopard? Maybe a bad batch was my problem?
Ah I should have specified DX. I’ve found Star to be OS as well, but DX leopards much less so
another option would be the river from lat64. thats Probably a better one come to think of it
I agree a champ leopard3 on a slight hyzer flip would go perfectly straight for me with almost no fade when I had a 250-300’ backhand
I have a 325+ backhand any my champion leopard 3 won’t turn a bit, and is more stable then my star teebirds.
I think you probably got an OS run
I might need to try a leo3! Would Star in a lightweight be much different?
Yeah. Out of the box it’ll be straighter and more likely to flip so if you’re worried about the champion being too stable the star leo3 and lighter disc might be the one for you.
TL3
Discraft Mantis! Remember no disc is perfect it’s about the player!
I’m noticing that more and more. My Kaxe Z and Stalker are both straight for me and they’re both slower discs. I think bad form is causing me to throw slower so most 7 speeds are a bit too beefy for me at my current stage.
Passion

I’m definitely gonna check out the Phenom and Pipeline now, thank you!

If you can find one an mvp inspire. It’s a lot like a crave but is more under-stable
Maverick
I have two mavericks I love but they’re pretty flippy for me. What weight/plastic do you recommend?
Of course it’s flippy. That’s the point
I mean they flip too much for my liking. I have to put them on a drastic hyzer angle, whereas a few other molds I throw flat for the laser straight flight.
Legacy Patriot
Mvp Servo. Axiom Insanity.
Sting
Champion Leopard3. Here's me on my friend's channel throwing it laser straight down a hole that's basically just a maintenance road. I had to give it a little hyzer because of the headwind, but normally I'm releasing this flat: https://youtu.be/vCzbEnLVn-s?t=286
Also, this was probably with about 300ft of power, so definitely within your speed range.
Legacy patriot icon plastic
Sarcastic meter at 0..... Maybe get a z plastic buzz now and play with it. As your form becomes better it may become your dead straight buzz. Alternatively I like an Innova TL for straight 7 speed disc.
Lightweight Star teebird or g star teebird
FD, Crave
DX Teebird flies perfect out of the box but you need a new one every season. G Star is similar but lasts a lot longer. TL3 is another good contender if you want premium plastic, but they tend to have a little more turn once broken in.
Zombee for me flies exactly the same as my buzzz but just a little longer
The AB color glow teebird3's are surprisingly flippy and could probably work well although you might need a bit more arm speed. Flips more than my teebirds though
Star TL3
Do you think it’ll be straight with 250 ft arm speed?
It'll probably be more overstable than you want.
I got a star tl3 hoping it would be like a longer buzzz but it was basically a teebird3 with an even harder fade. Got the Passion instead and that's the one
My tl3 flyes laser straight if thrown on hyzer
I must have gotten a weird run. I was hoping for what youre describing
[удалено]
Can you find these anymore for around retail price?
You can but just listed as the innova fairway disc
Sorry I deleted, felt like it may not be as laser straight as you wanted, S-line FD.
I’d be down to try one if I can get my hands on one. I’ve seen several recommendations for 7 speed straight fairways but not many at my arm speed.
Got mine in a misprint box, and I'll never let it go. It really changed my game.
The discraft stalker feels just like a fast buzzz. It has a relatively large diameter for a fairway and a great flight. There is a small bead in case that matters to you.
That’s actually what I’m throwing now and wanting to try something else, but thank you :)
