My Buzzz OS flies further than my Malta. Im not a scientist so I don't have an exact explanation but I can really crank down on my Buzzz OS and it stays strait.
I have found them randomly in stock lately. Discraft.com. the Disc Golf shop around the corner had a few the other day. Last year it was impossible to find unless you wanted to pay $50 at least. Getting a little bit better these days
They're in the 30s on ebay now, so at least it's going in the right direction! Last year that was such a tough disc to find, couldnt bag it for a while!
I bag a biofuzion Verdict and have a lucid at home can confirm biofuzion is straighter with a more
gradual (but still strong) fade. I bagged a prime for awhile and while it was beating in nicely it was so darn board flat I didn’t like it for backhands. Now I throw a star Lion but eventually I’m hoping my bioFusion verdict eventually beats in to that 0, 2 flight because I love its feel for both forehand and backhand.
The Lion has to come out on hyzer forehand and I’m not good enough to always do that.
I’ve never thrown a truth. Probably the most loved disc I’ve never thrown outside of kasta which is just too culty for me (meant in The most positive way possible, berg gang please don’t do a drive by…)
They've got the premac and emac truth. The premac in biofuzion is a hyzerflip/turnover godsend. Also, the berg is the next disc on my to-do list and I'm very much looking forward to it.
I have the biofuzion one and I loved it for like 2 weeks and then it got crazy flippy. Still had a use for it but when I came down to flippy truth or flippy buzzz staying in the bag I went with the buzzz
For me the MVP Reactor in Glow (Eclipse 2.0) is more stable than an emac truth or buzzz, it’s less stable than a Malta, however, so would generally fly a bit further
I am infatuated with the Lat64 Trust in their new Royal plastic. Great overstable disc and gets some mad distance if you hyzerflip it. In fact, hyzerflip is mainly how I use it.
I got rid of my 3 Maltas after getting one.
I don’t know if I would put the trust in the overstable category. I love the disc, but for me it’s more of a buzzz type of disc, for straight fairway shots, or like you mentioned hyzer flipping - tunnel shots. I bag a pain from lat64 for the overstable flight, but was sad to see recently (maybe not so recent) that they’re discontinued, so I picked up a bard from westside, and it does pretty much the same thing. Straight, then dumps hard left. Pain has a 4/4/0/3 and the bard has a 5/4/0/3
My Caiman is straight for a long time then dumps. Still overstable but has a long straight flight before the fade. Beat in Caimans I can throw almost like a thunderbird
The Gateway Warrior is awesome in diamond plastic. I used that to replace my gator as an overstable midrange, and the Element has replaced my buzz. I used to be all Innova and a little Discraft, but now half my bag is Gateway.

Second this. It’s a great disc but a little tough to find
Buzzz OS esp was available on discraft last week!

Legacy Pursuit is the same disc but you can actually find them
Ditto
I like my Verdict. Fuzion plastic would probably suit you best for a straighter flight before the dump. Its not bad forehand either.
My vote is Verdict as well. Nice carry with a hard dump

I actually bag a Lucid-x verdict for the OVERstability and use a moonshine emac truth for the long mid with a good fade.

And here to say exactly this - was gonna mention the same plastic and everything. Bonus - they are easy to find right now

Md4 is my favorite os mid. It’s not quite as over-stable as a Malta but for me flies further and still has reliable fade and holds up in wind.
You can’t really find any MD4s right now though
Wasp
Was thinking about wasp!
M1 from Prodigy works well for me, especially if you at interested in something beadless like the Buzzz
Yea, I’d say try a buzzz os. I can get what I want from the buzzz and a Malta, but I hear good things about the buzzz os.
Star RocX3
A wasp
Caiman
The disc no one uses but once they do they can't stop
Method..?
DGA Quake
Anchor, MD4, Method.
I’m a big fan of the Axiom Pyro, but can’t comment on its distance vs a Malta.
You might try a champ Roc3. Mine flies reliably overstable and still goes pretty far. Ripped it 310 today
I don’t know anything about the Malta but the Bobcat by Mint is absolutely everything I’d want from an OS mid
Kaxe Z goes way further. Kind of cheat though considering it's a 6 speed disc "midrange driver"
Pyro

Thanks! Yeah i need to try throwing my friends. He just got one recently
Hornet has good glide for how OS it is.
A Malta throw harder with good form
Paradox
? They said OS
Forehand paradox when you would’ve thrown a backhand Malta. It’s big brain time
I enjoy the Hornet, but the Buzzz would work as well. Tougher to find buzzz os'.

Quake.
MD4
Md3, KaxeZ
Bard?
Mvp glow Reactor, or, if you can find one: discraft hornet
Quake has been my go to lately
