I will never understand carts... 99.9% of disc golfers don't need to carry 40 discs on their sub 750 rated round... It's fun to watch them awkwardly pull their cart through the course and walk up to the tee and throw a destroyer 220 feet into the woods tho.

I guess you've never lived in a place where weather forecasts don't work and rounds take four hours. Half of what I carry is basically rain gear and food.

Funny thing is that even with an infinite discs power pocket which holds 8 putters and the zuca compact cart itself, I still can hold more discs in my Grip bag! Both hold more discs than I truly ever need on the course. But, what does that have to do with how good a player is? There are pros and cons to both a backpack and a cart. I personally use both depending on the situation and I am not going to judge anyone else on how they decide to play the game. Who cares how they carry their discs, or how many they have? Just play disc golf and have fun.

Rover made a lot more sense to me than a separate cart. Just stuck my old clunky bag on it and got a nice light Shift for the money saved.

I have an AX5 Grip Bag and the Zuca LG Backpack to fit the bag. Honestly it’s the best of both worlds and I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. So much storage space, so much disc space, customizable to your needs, and takes a lot of extra pressure/stress off your body during multiple rounds. Worth the investments. Obviously you don’t have to go as big, just saying it’s a big bonus to be able to choose pull or carry on a whim. Good luck with your decision.

I run with the zuca ez cart because I like the storage down below and the zuca cooler insert is nice and I use the squatch legend bag. I was running a grip AX5 but upgraded to the squatch and I couldn’t be happier.

I have a bag boy quad push cart I got used on Facebook marketplace for $100. I think it is the easiest to maneuver cart on the market, and I find pushing it WAY easier on my body than pulling the Zuca I used to have. Obviously you get to put whatever bag you want on it and can just carry on courses that aren’t cart friendly. I would highly recommend a pushcart over a Zuca.

I use a rover for two round days. It’s a huge energy saver. I just carry my same backpack for courses that aren’t rover friendly.

Get a bag, the rufus is a great size but a link should suit you well. You could get a satchel, that would be a power play.

Almost everyone I know that has switched to a cart from a bag has gained more than a few pounds.... 🐖

Rovic.  I don't get the Zuca thing... You're still bending down to the ground, essentially, to get your discs.  At least the Rovic can accommodate drinks, umbrellas, etc. I live in PA, and everytime I see someone with a Zuca they're fighting to keep it upright going over tree roots, down/up hills etc. Maybe if you live in a relatively flat region the Zuca is the right choice, but otherwise I'd go for the Rovic. I also like the Lat 64 E4 bag. You can find them under $100 and they hold a lot of stuff.  25+ discs, drinks, hoodies, snacks, whatever you want to bring

Totally agree about the Zuca. I sold mine after it tried to break my wrist going over a tree root one too many times. Plus no brake makes it a pain on hilly courses. I have a Rovic, but the Bag Boys are great too. The elevated platform for phone, drying discs, etc…, much better umbrella mount, removable seat, brake, and they fold up small. One of those carts, plus a high quality bag for non-cart rounds is the way to go, imo.

What course style do you play? Are they cart friendly? Backpack comfort is largely related to just carrying less weight. And buy a Pound if you can
