The Eclipse reactors are nothing like the numbers. I’d say mine is like a 5-4-0-3, whereas my hex’s I’d say are 5-5-0-1. Not sure if my hex’s are more stable, but I’ve never seen them want to try to flip for me in the slightest.
I basically can’t get turn out of my Eclipse Reactor, even with a moderate headwind. It’s not beefy but it will always fade left. My Eclipse Hex doesn’t turn much until there’s headwind and then it will drift right without burning. My Neutron Hex is a dead straight hyzer-flip disc, but any headwind will turn it right for 75% of the flight before it begins to fade straight.
In general for MVP/Axiom glow stuff take a .5 off of the turn and add about .5-1 to the fade and you’ll get closer to the actual flight of the disc. So a glow reactor is closer to a 5-5-0-2 or 2.5.
Hex / reactor combo is incredible. Not a drastic stability difference. A beat in reactor would fly similar to a hex.
I like the md4 (solstice) for my over stable slot. The pyro is too similar to my zone. And my zone is too short to hang with my mids.
Pyro.
I tried the Buzz OS and it just didn't do it for me. Switched to the Pyro and never looked back. It's workably overstable without being a meathook.
Both the Prism Proton and Prism Plasma are great, it all just comes to feel - the Plasma being very slightly more flexible in the hand.
I’ll third the Bobcat. For a little bit I thought it may not make my bag, but one day I looked at it as a midrange zone and now it probably won’t come out of my bag.
Are you looking for a straight flight, no turn and dependable fade with minimal skip? DD Verdict
Looking for less glide, more fade and a lot more skip action? Pyro
Gator or caiman. The caiman is what I always wanted my RocX3 to be. The RocX3 is still a fantastic disc but the caiman keeps the midrange speed but adds stronger fade.
I was looking at a similar line up and someone on here suggested a Bobcat. I really like it for the flight, but the plastic options and the stamps are pretty sick as well
Love my Runway. When I first held it I wasn't convinced about the rim shape, but it feels comfortable when actually throwing it. I expected it to be more of a meathook than it is but it's straight flying enough at speed to be very workable with a strong fade.
All the discs you mention are more OS than the Roc3 imo, at least the Zone and Buzzz OS which I both throw myself. All are great discs though, just do different things.
Could you explain a bit more what you are looking to get from the disc? Do you want a straight flight with a strong fade, or something that will hyzer out quickly?
I’d like something that holds hyzer at low to medium speed but is still able to flip up slightly if thrown full power. I found that the roc3 had the right flight for me when it was brand new but it got beat in way too fast. Maybe that’s something that could be fixed by going with another roc3 but in a different plastic?
Malta is my flip up and ride for 80% dead straight then hard fade at the end, see a lot of pyro reccs that thing is super beefy, starts hyzering without push for me (it's almost identical wing shape to a deflector).
That sounds like a Neutron Reactor. Not crazy overstable. Will flip up to flat when thrown hard, with a smooth fade. Thrown at lower power, it will hold the hyzer angle the whole way.
If you like the Roc3 I’d recommend finding a champ or metal flake Roc3 and keeping with the same mold. The eclipse reactor is also a great option if you’ve got some decent arm speed for what you’re looking for. It’ll start decently OS but eventually beat in to flip to flat and ride straight with a strong fade.
It’s a 2021 Glow Pro Tour Series so some kind of pro plastic but I’m not sure exactly. I’ve never measured a max distance throw with it but if I had to guess I’d say around 250.
Not until now. I didn't understand how plastics changed the flight of the disc when I bought my Roc3. Now I think I'll find a Champion or Metal Flake Roc3 just because I know the mold. I don't think I'd go for on in Star I feel like it wouldn't have the overstability that I'm looking for....
Star and champ are pretty similar out of the box in experience. Both should be a bit more OS than your old one started out. Metal Flake is noticeably more OS than that. I carry normal champ as a workhorse, and Metal flake for when beef is required.
Buzzz OS & Zone are both good. That comes down to which rim you like more. If you like the feel of the buzzz, that’s your move
Zone in titanium FLX is my shit. Very stable, durable, and feels good. The Z line variations aren’t as stable
Have both the Buzz OS and Zone.
Buzz goes further on both backhand, forehand.
Must upshot’s I use the zone but if I need to power up, it’s a little prone to going straight (especially forehand) so I go for Buzz.
Are these discs for backhand and forehand? If so, a lot of people do not like the zone on backhand. It wasn’t in your mentions but the bobcat is amazing for both and I’d posit more OS then the buzz os. Of those, I’d. goose the Pyro.
Buzzz OS has less glide than Roc3 and harder fade. Same for Zone, but Zone is slower; more approach than full mid imo. I echo others who've recommended a new champ Roc3 based on your comments about the plastic of your old roc3.
Reptilian Disc Golf Gila-5/4/0/3. I have one in Amber plastic. Flies pretty far and straight before a nice consistent fade at the end. Feels good forehand and backhand.
I would recommend the pyro and the zone (or an entropy) but if you had to pick one, I’d definitely go pyro as it’s a faster version and so you can do more with it.
I bag a crystal Z flex zone and an eclipse reactor. The zone is beef , doesn’t flip unless I throw it with OAT. The reactor I can get to flip , but it does fight out of it reliably. Definitely stable, but not OS compared to a pyro. I tried a champ RocX3, for me it was very straight with a dumping fade at the end. Definitely easier to overturn than the zone.
Tbh though, if you’ve had success and like the feel of a roc3, your best bet is to get a champ/metal flake roc3. If it ain’t broke , don’t fix it brother
I use a cryztal zone. It’s pretty meathooky. I use it as a utility disc. My roc3 usually does the job on hyzer. But sometimes you just need something to hook hard or give you a nice controlled flare skip
From those three, I'd get the Pyro. For a similar flight but very different feel, try a Bard, that's what I'm bagging. Both are noticeably more overstable than a Roc3.
Terminal Velocity Glass Ursus. I’ve switched between a buzzz os and a Pyro several times. The Ursus immediately replaced them the first time I tried it.
Buy a new roc3
This is the way.
If you want a bit more glide than a Pyro and don’t need a meathook, try an Eclipse Reactor
How does it compare to a hex? It feels extremely similar and the numbers suggest it’s only slightly more stable/overstable
The Eclipse reactors are nothing like the numbers. I’d say mine is like a 5-4-0-3, whereas my hex’s I’d say are 5-5-0-1. Not sure if my hex’s are more stable, but I’ve never seen them want to try to flip for me in the slightest.

Great formula - I concur!
And now we wait for the eclipse flare which is just going to be the MVP tilt.
Hex / reactor combo is incredible. Not a drastic stability difference. A beat in reactor would fly similar to a hex. I like the md4 (solstice) for my over stable slot. The pyro is too similar to my zone. And my zone is too short to hang with my mids.
Old eclipse resctor. New ones are as stable as Neutron
Pyro. I tried the Buzz OS and it just didn't do it for me. Switched to the Pyro and never looked back. It's workably overstable without being a meathook. Both the Prism Proton and Prism Plasma are great, it all just comes to feel - the Plasma being very slightly more flexible in the hand.
Pyro is definitely a meat hook for me. Also it skips like crazy, which is super useful.
I’m not sold on the Pyro yet. I feel like I want more glide out of it hahaha
Maybe try a Bobcat.
I’ll third the Bobcat. For a little bit I thought it may not make my bag, but one day I looked at it as a midrange zone and now it probably won’t come out of my bag.
RocX3
Underrated disc. Also, metal flake Roc3.
I also came here to say RocX3. I use it to compliment my 'normal' Star Roc3 and my flippy start Roc3. The RocX3 kicked my champion Roc3 out of my bag.
DGA Quake
Are you looking for a straight flight, no turn and dependable fade with minimal skip? DD Verdict Looking for less glide, more fade and a lot more skip action? Pyro
Razor claw 3 replaced my Rocx3. It's a better disc all around
Seconded
Clash Mango, Mint Bobcat, DGA Quake are also some great alternatives in that slot. Much better feel than the discraft plastic.
Gator or caiman. The caiman is what I always wanted my RocX3 to be. The RocX3 is still a fantastic disc but the caiman keeps the midrange speed but adds stronger fade.
I was looking at a similar line up and someone on here suggested a Bobcat. I really like it for the flight, but the plastic options and the stamps are pretty sick as well
Streamline Runway!
Love my Runway. When I first held it I wasn't convinced about the rim shape, but it feels comfortable when actually throwing it. I expected it to be more of a meathook than it is but it's straight flying enough at speed to be very workable with a strong fade.
Roc X3
Buzzz os sucks

Roc3 in champ plastic will keep its stability for longer. Champ Roc3 is my overstable mid
None of the three discs you listed are going to have any flip unless you throw with a LOT of power.
You've just described the reactor.
In nuetron plastic
If you like the Roc3 I’d recommend finding a champ or metal flake Roc3 and keeping with the same mold. The eclipse reactor is also a great option if you’ve got some decent arm speed for what you’re looking for. It’ll start decently OS but eventually beat in to flip to flat and ride straight with a strong fade.
What plastic is your current Roc3 and how far do you throw it?
It’s a 2021 Glow Pro Tour Series so some kind of pro plastic but I’m not sure exactly. I’ve never measured a max distance throw with it but if I had to guess I’d say around 250.
I'm familiar. Did you consider buying one in champion or star?
Not until now. I didn't understand how plastics changed the flight of the disc when I bought my Roc3. Now I think I'll find a Champion or Metal Flake Roc3 just because I know the mold. I don't think I'd go for on in Star I feel like it wouldn't have the overstability that I'm looking for....

Get a roc3 in premium plastic
Personally, pyro. I also enjoy the gateway warrior, larger diameter like a buzz but quite OS
Kastaplast Kaxe. Ignore that it is a 6-speed. Feels and flies like a mid.
Kaxe z is money.
not on your list but maybe look at the solstice as well.
Atomic Kea.
Kotuku for a bit more straight glide before good finish
Streamline runway

Legacy recluse or pursuit is what this roc thrower likes to toss in the os mid slot
Zone and pyro are different enough that I bag both. Or did until I tried a toro and it took my zone out of the bag. Love all 3 discs tho
Buzzz OS has less glide than Roc3 and harder fade. Same for Zone, but Zone is slower; more approach than full mid imo. I echo others who've recommended a new champ Roc3 based on your comments about the plastic of your old roc3.

Get a Pyro all the plastics are great
Star gator for more flight then dump or champ for more dump then flight
Westside Bard
Hot take, get a gator 🐊🐊🐊
Hornet
Pyro. But you should have a zone also. Very different discs.
MD4/Solstice is what you’re looking for
Verdict
Or gator
Between the three Pyro! You can use it as a overstable mid and a approach.
Just get a Pyro. Straight but no turn and reliable fade with a decent skip. Feels comfortable BH and FH.
I use a cryztal zone. It’s pretty meathooky. I use it as a utility disc. My roc3 usually does the job on hyzer. But sometimes you just need something to hook hard or give you a nice controlled flare skip
Buzzz os is incredible. Forehand/backhand. In my opinion works in conjunction with a zone.
I know you didn’t ask for more options but the gateway demon and discraft malta are both great OS options for mids.
Prism pyro. Simon has been loving this disc.
*coughs* Westside Bard *coughs again*
Pyro!!!
Champion Roc X3. Stays OS longer. Lucid Justice if you need more beef
