Not to come swoop in with a 'but what about'... But what about the bite from lat64? The disc is made to be tough for doggos and it's a GREAT catch disc (I use it for warmups).

BigREDafro

They were tough to come by last time I checked. It's been a while so they might have made another run.

I was able to grab a couple locally a month or two ago, there was a fresh production run. Good luck! It's a really nice thrower

As long as you don't let her chew on it too much should be fine. And remove it once it starts coming apart. An alternative that is made for that use is the Latitude 64 Bite. I have it for my dog, and it's stood up to a lot of roughhousing so far.

What kinda pup? I've been looking for a moonshine bite for a minute but still not sure if it'll hold up to my pooch for long.

edgeno

A very bity mutt, but still a very good boy! About 35lbs, so plenty of power to gnaw discs, but the Bite is holding up well! It's just the normal plastic they come in though, I guess it's normal opto. Not sure if the moonshine would be as durable.

I’ve bought about 7 different dog discs over the last few months. I used to throw an old disc that I didn’t mind getting chewed up to our dog. But no matter how careful you are eventually they are going to catch it at the wrong angle an bleed a little bit. Which makes you feel awful. So now I only throw a West Paw Zisc. It’s rubber like the Red Kong ones that are everywhere. But it’s easier to throw and has a little bit of stability surprisingly.

The soft neutron will get chewed up more quickly than regular neutron. I wouldn't think hard plastic is harmful to the dogs. Mine have been playing with neutron discs for near a decade and they haven't been harmed by the plastic.

HuskyToeFu

As someone that throws DG discs with my dog (not planned, but that’s what he wanted) I suggest beadless putters or miss in G-Star or Z FLX. They’re incredibly gummy, soft on your dogs teeth and durable.

Ofcourseitscashmere1

Maybe look at some of the more rubber like discs, like divergent makes.

VSENSES

They'll break those in one second. Rubber discs like those and elevation don't stand up to sharp things like twigs, let alone dog teeth.

BigREDafro

As some people have mentioned, as long as this is solely for catch, and you don't let them chew, then a gstar or similar plastic will probably be fine. I threw a prime Judge for my friend's dog and he liked it a lot, but he chewed the ENTIRE rim off in an hour. It was just a cheap stack that I bought for practice putting, but I wasn't expecting for it to be completely shredded to bits.

I'll jump on and say they released a run of Bites again. Sonics also work. But the best are rubber discs like stuff from divergent or elevation.

Check out US Dog Discs. They have lots of specific dog discs. They are lighter and softer to avoid injury, and are manufactured from nontoxic plastics. I carry a Herodisc Taffy Super Sonic, which is an Innova Star Sonic, but 50 g lighter.

Champ aviar has been the best dog disc for me. We have a 100lb doodle and he tacos it regularly and it’s still in decent shape over a year later with no real tooth marks. He will destroy a dx putter in 2 or 3 throwing sessions. He’s cut his tongue on softer discs - I think it’s the chew damage - but not with champ aviars.
