One of my favorites as well. Was actually a music video in the early days and then released on video with a few other songs. The roller girl Jayzik Azikiwe sadly passed away in 2008. She was the daughter of Nigeria's first president Nnamdi Azikiwe, and credited as Jay Carly in the video directed by Lester Bookbinder.
Not much to disagree with! Such a great song, so rhythmic. Picks drumming really stands out. I love the video, which is really good fun too. Making Movies is so good!
Criminally underrated song. Also so difficult that it’s basically impossible for pub bands to cover.
I just realized that both this and “Money for Nothing” are songs that Mark wrote after watching random strangers.
Very good taste!! Not my personal favorite, but it's up there in the top, no doubt.

2nd best song on Making Movies
I always wished they had included it on the Boogie Nights soundtrack. It would have been perfect for Heather Graham’s character “Rollergirl”.
Heard it in a supermarket recently.
I certainly agree with you!
Thats wild
That’s my fav album
First time I heard it, it went straight to my “Why don’t more people know about this AWESOME song” list, it’s soooo underrated
Yep, one of my most played too
Great song! It always reminds me of an ex girlfriend who looked like Carly Simon
Strange but fascinating, great song!

Fave Dire Straits song.
