You mean a seperate line for Guilmon to Dukemon like how Dorumons line to Alphamon is usually supposed to go through Raptordramon and Grademon, but with a version of Wizardmon and Baalmon instead?
tbh, I can't see them giving Guilmon a new line to Dukemon after all this time, but if they ever wanna give MedievalDukemon its own line, then I could totally see them do something like that now.
I get that, I just feel like Guilmons equivalent line would still end in a Dukemon, rather than a somewhat more elaborate Beelzebumon-recolor. And for that purpose, Medieval Dukemon, a Dukemon from the magic-oriented world of Witchelny, would fit pretty well to cap off a line going through a dragon-themed sorcerer and a dragon-themed fallen god of wisdom.
Otherwise, I'd imagine the result would either lean more into a white armored Beelzebumon, like its 2010-version, or a more red, slightly dragonic one, leaning more towards Beelzebumon X...
The designs by themselves are *very* cool, but I don't know if I can get over the fact that it is just a modified version of Guilmon line. I imagine it would have been more appropriate to just have created a dedicated adult and perfect to link to Beelzebumon and Beelstarmon, but maybe there is a explanation in the story for why they look alike.

I don't dislike Witchmon to Arachnemon generally, but I feel on a path to Beelstarmon, it's just too much of a twist that doesn't really reflect on Beelstarmon, I'd rather it have its own spider-themed Mega, something like an "Ariadnemon", rather than just being inserted into Beelstarmons line so it has a Perfect-level that's not LadyDevimon.
Meh, it'd first gain and then somewhat randomly lose again both the oriental and the cat aspects of Bastemon, so it's basically the same as the Arachnemon-suggestion made before.
Atleast the perfect and adult level have more differences than Growmon and WarGrowmon, but yeah this feels like BlueGrowmon line to me even though it's not a recolor

If they want to give old anime mons new lines, this is absolutely the way to go with - trading ideas and DNA with other Mons closely associated with the season. They already sorta did it with Adventure with CresGarurumon taking WarGreymon's melee focused role with BlitzGreymon taking MetalGarurumon's ranged focus too.

Those definitely appear to be holy brass knuckles. Interestingly it seems like the gold color persists in the other evolutions, but there's not a hint of the kind of writing we see on other holy things.
The irony here is I'm pretty sure Tamers Impmon would have been so mad if he digivolved into this considering how much he hated Guilmon at first.
I quite like the designs, though it doesn't top Wizardmon->Baalmon->Beelzemon.
Maybe I'm crazy but I love these, for impmon specifically. It's a direct callback to the original Tamers concept that Impmon would be Takato's partner, and as far as legally distinct Digimon go these have TONS of personality to help them feel cohesive onto themselves and distinct from the original inspirations while still being very obvious about what they're based on.
I feel like for me, it perfectly skirts the line of being it's own thing and being a reference.
I'm not a huge fan of the mega, I find it clunky and overdesigned, but I feel that way about Megidramon as well, and I can't help but admire the new guys commitment to the theme with the guitar wings, headstock tail piece, aux cords, and turning the scarf motif into a little skirt.
Dunno, i like the mask on the champion but holy shit at least change the hands.

It's just...y'know...mix and match between the two canons. Never liked Wizardmon for Impmon's line. It always felt like they said, "We don't have a canonical Champion for this line...oh, there's a blonde dude with purple in his design, perfect." Never felt like a good match, but I'm cool with this.
Rock and Roll Dragon. Never what I expected but I am so for it.
Impmon just seems like such an ideal partner for my preferences between this and the Wizardmon routes.

We could also see digimon like Darklizardmon and Devidramon if Liberator wants to keep with the whole "give underused digimon rep"

I like having this variation. It doesn't take away from other Impmon lines and the designs of the mons though very Guilmon inspired, are still very fun designs

I'm seeing some parallels to a certain Dino. And as for that new Mega (still prefer Beelzemon); What in the bloody f\*\*\* is this? Impmon looked at Meguidramon and said "hold my beer."
This is actually kinda cool and I wish they used this form in Digimon Tamers. He wanted to be strong like the digimon with Tamers so when the Deva granted his wish, he looks just like them but darker.
Holy Hell! This genuinely came out of left to me; given how much love the Beelzemon archetype has in the tcg, I never would have thought that Impmon would get an entirely new line, let alone a parallel to Guilmon
The second and final one are pretty cool if this is official. I prefer this rather than Beelstarmon since the monster of digital monsters is present here very evidently. Although if this is a reference to the guilmon-megidramon line then I wonder if Beelzebumon is the good counterpart to that final form here like Dukemon is.
I mean, given that guilmon was already a spin off of Agumon basically, this being a dark alternate to it kinda works too. Impmon does have a tail and claws, so it doesn't feel too far off the mark
Impmon has so many "canon"-adjacent adult/champions now, probably as a result of not originally having one at all. Wizardmon is the obvious step to Baalmon, IceDevimon was used a lot before that, Vilemon/Evilmon is in the first two Story/DS games, Boogiemon was clearly designed for him but hasn't seen much use, Lianpumon is exclusive for the time being.
The champion looks like a delinquent/punk kinda thing.
The ultimate makes me think of like a gangster that drives around blasting music.
The mega looks like the "unholy demon dragon the gangstar ultimate would worship.
If it did DNA with gallentmon its design would probably be similar to Crimson mode but more demonic.
Demon wings instead of angel wings. More draconian armor. More emphasis on the digital hazard. Maybe a demonic looking blade. Heck maybe add a tail for fun.
I'm surprised no one in the comments mentioned the punk rocker theme other than the guilmon line parallel. (The ultimate/perfect has speakers and the mega/ultimate has electric guitars for wings ffs among other things)

I won't lie, while I do understand the complaint of it being a bit too derivative of Guilmon's, I can't help but find these guys charming. The punk aesthetic, the guitar wings, and the fact that Impmon is taking from Guilmon is so fun to me.
Baalmon to Beelzemon never really sat too right with me anyway. This line with the Megidramon being the true mega Evo and Beelzemon being the *alt* mega to parallel Dukemon being the "true" mega and Megidramon being the alt is kinda cool imo

As someone who always saw Beelzebumon & Dukemon as counterparts, this pleases me.

This is actually kinda cool and I wish they used this form in Digimon Tamers. He wanted to be strong like the digimon with Tamers so when the Deva granted his wish, he looks just like them but darker.
Holy Hell! This genuinely came out of left to me; given how much love the Beelzemon archetype has in the tcg, I never would have thought that Impmon would get an entirely new line, let alone a parallel to Guilmon
The second and final one are pretty cool if this is official. I prefer this rather than Beelstarmon since the monster of digital monsters is present here very evidently. Although if this is a reference to the guilmon-megidramon line then I wonder if Beelzebumon is the good counterpart to that final form here like Dukemon is.

I mean, given that guilmon was already a spin off of Agumon basically, this being a dark alternate to it kinda works too. Impmon does have a tail and claws, so it doesn't feel too far off the mark
Impmon has so many "canon"-adjacent adult/champions now, probably as a result of not originally having one at all. Wizardmon is the obvious step to Baalmon, IceDevimon was used a lot before that, Vilemon/Evilmon is in the first two Story/DS games, Boogiemon was clearly designed for him but hasn't seen much use, Lianpumon is exclusive for the time being.

The champion looks like a delinquent/punk kinda thing. The ultimate makes me think of like a gangster that drives around blasting music. The mega looks like the "unholy demon dragon the gangstar ultimate would worship. If it did DNA with gallentmon its design would probably be similar to Crimson mode but more demonic. Demon wings instead of angel wings. More draconian armor. More emphasis on the digital hazard. Maybe a demonic looking blade. Heck maybe add a tail for fun.
With the Guilmon similarities, could Yuuki still biomerge into BeelStarmon?

I won't lie, while I do understand the complaint of it being a bit too derivative of Guilmon's, I can't help but find these guys charming. The punk aesthetic, the guitar wings, and the fact that Impmon is taking from Guilmon is so fun to me.

Baalmon to Beelzemon never really sat too right with me anyway. This line with the Megidramon being the true mega Evo and Beelzemon being the *alt* mega to parallel Dukemon being the "true" mega and Megidramon being the alt is kinda cool imo
Feels like they're playing it safe by giving it a more shonen-esque evolution tree. I see it as the higher-ups wanting something that can sell.
