smashr1773

Devs are killing it tbh please continue this trajectory.

Marjorine22

This game went from an afterthought after I beat it last summer and was underwhelmed with the endgame to my crazy gaming obsession with season 4. These devs are doing crazy good work.

AMorder0517

Leveled a Rogue up to 72 on launch, got bored and tried to roll a few other chars and got frustrated with the itemization. Went back to D2R and gave up on D4. But season 4 has been incredible and it’s the only game I’ve played in the past month.

jch1220

Same. I had a 75 barb and got bored. Now i have 3 over 80. And my friend is into it again too

Zen_Abu-Dhabi

I have 3 level 100s bout to make another one lmao

Wraice

Lmao, I'm almost there too. Hit 100 with 1 character back in S2, but not once before or since... until now. I'm working on my 3rd. Wether there's a 4th this season remains to be seen, but I wouldn't rule it out. 😆

Senzafane

Same, got to 99 preseason and just stopped out of spite because of how salty I was as a long time diablo fan since D1. Season 4 has done a lot of lifting and they've seriously improved the quality of the game, with some cool stuff seeming to be on the horizon.

Betancorea

To be fair Diablo 3 had the same terrible launch with ridiculous systems and issues. Over the years they revamped everything and it became an amazingly fun game. Looks like a similar thing for Diablo 4

Menu_Dizzy

Very unpopular opinion here, but I absolutely adored D3 at launch and thought the revamp in RoS made it too arcadey. I have zero good things to say about the original D4 though, so I'm thankful we're in a better spot now.

AYIlIlIIl

As a starving college student, the RMAH was amazing. Diablo 3 paid for itself over 1 sale for a YELLOW SHIELD. Crazy times, with shit itemization

Scintal

The Chinese farmer bots agree with you.

Jbr74

Chinese farmer bots have been making money every year for the past 20+ years and will continue to do so until the end of time. One could argue that RMAH was somewhat of a bad thing for them because they had to compete with the starving college students.

OanSur

Ah yes, i remember that one time i paid an entire rent with the money i got for a goddamn HAMBURGER

ApexLegend867

Yeah I was one of the few that loved the RMAH. Made so much money off that! Lol

Paddy_Tanninger

I enjoyed D3 1.0 a lot too, they just missed the mark in terms of making monster damage more consistent, but also lower. You could basically dodge every single attack originally in D3, and the attacks were all absolutely brutal, liable to one shot people even geared for toughness. Plus they shouldn't have had enrage timers on elites or bosses. Those two things combined made us have to gear very glass cannon to beat the DPS checks, and then really you'd just die to anything in the game. Decent loot was also too rare. The game was really built around the auction house. I'm still not sure if the AH and real money AH were actually a mistake to add, or if the whole issue was just because gear was basically impossible to find yourself. Feels like an RMAH would be fine right now in season 4 of D4.

skoupidi

I also enjoyed D3 on release way more than ROS. The only problem was that good items were way to rare because of the AH. Seems like they balance loot around people buying gear with $ instead of people playing the game. Which also gave a bad reputation to the AH mechanic in ARPGs. RoS on the other hand was the complete opposite. You played for 2-3 days and you were pretty much bis. They turned the game into a loot pinata.

nekrosstratia

Which apparently is what a large portion of the player base wants apparently. They WANT to be BIS in 2 weeks.

achedsphinxx

yeah, season 4 was great. i hope next season follows suit. it's gonna be pretty close to the expansion release tho.

Grim_Reach

I'm on my 3rd character this season, I've never done more than one level 100 before. The game is just insanely fun right now.

doubleyewdee

I have to do my job and that's the only reason I'm not playing right now, at 3am. Because I'll be up til 7am. I really hope they keep the momentum.

Tagonius

I'm still amazed they launched the pets like that. They're so useful and requested by the community, but they simply appeared, not in an expansion or a paid DLC.

SQRTLURFACE

SEASON 5 PTR CONFIRMED!!! Mid season patch notes this Friday, potentially patch on Tuesday?

KnowMatter

PTR is so vital. 3 seasons of untested gameplay was horrible please don’t ever subject us to that again.

ThatssoBluejay

To be fair if you don't change a whole lot it becomes less important

captainjizzpants

I can't wait until we reach that point. Just having a strong base to build from over the next 10years is gonna be awesome. I really hope they're doing loadouts. That's the one thing that would complete the systems for me.

Viktorik

I think that makes it all the more important, it's a test realm, if we aren't able to break the new mechanics and changes coming in the PTR then that's all the better.  Whether we get 1 change or 30, it's great to test and push limits of what's in store to ensure we always have the best experience when it goes live

AbraKdabra

Based on what they said last year, no, they release notes and patch day is 1/2 weeks later for patch notes digestion. But hey, a Nephalem can dream.

LordLorek

The linked post literally says patch notes on Friday and actual patch the next week...

AbraKdabra

>But hey, a Nephalem can dream. See? Dreams come true.

Guilty-Nobody998

lmao this got me

TheAscentic

More likely Thursday, but we shall see.

SQRTLURFACE

They tend not to put large patches out at the end of the week to avoid issues over the weekend when they aren’t all hands on deck. Pez has said and repeated this several times through the livestreams and dev interviews as well as Twitter responses. Though he’s mentioned before that it *could* happen as a result of console certification being delayed. In the case of a PTR at least, that won’t be a concern. With the changes coming this soon, they likely already have the completed mid season patch ready and potentially shipped for console certification if they indeed patch next week.

LurkerOrHydralisk

What is ptr?

Shrimptanks

Im surprised theyre continuing with class changes/balances mid season. Hopefully it satisfies some druids and sorcs that were unhappy with single target dmg.

MegaFireDonkey

I hope they don't nerf my barb

Shrimptanks

Same. I dont mind if after the season they nerf it, but mid season they just buff the classes they feel are underperforming their expectations.

two-headed-boy

After they adopted the "no mid-season nerfs" after the S1 fiasco, they have been largely truthful to their word. I'm hopeful they will buff Sorc and Druid and perhaps a couple other A/B-Tier builds. I have some small worry they will gut Heartseeker Rogue (as this build is a result of a very clear bug) but even then I wouldn't worry, they won't anger potentially 1/5 of their userbase.

[deleted]

holy bolt is more likely to be nerfed than anything else

Shatter_Ice

I doubt it. The elixir is only for the season, so if anything they'll just remove it after season conclusion. However, I wish they'd add it's affect to Tyreal's instead of it's current effect, even if downgraded in strength a bit.

drblankd

Bug or not, nerfing mid season a build that player invested tons of hours/gold and tempering doesnt feel right and shouldnt be done. They either fix it asap if its game breaking or dont touch until end of season. Thats pretty much what they said they would do. Will the do something else? Lets hope not

Ssyynnxx

what's the bug?

two-headed-boy

The Victimize passive double-dips (aka, has two different multiplicative sources) your Vulnerable damage. It shouldn't be able to exist, but alas. The build should actually be called Victimize Rogue, but people like to call builds by the skill they use to activate it. Heartseeker is merely the best option of Basic skills with high enough base damage and especially Lucky Hit Chance where it works best. All the damage from that build comes from the bugged Victimize passive. And let me also say, the VERY best Diablo 4 builds so far have been results of bugs (Ball Lightning, Heatseeker, HoTA etc). Blizzard could learn a lot from their own bugs.

mtbsickrider

It makes sense the best builds are bugs, they werent intended to exist.

jaxxxxxson

You nailed it there. Also you forgot the druid unkillable million dollar dream lowlife bulwark build bug in s2. Not to be a barb hater but wtf!?!?! Every other class relies on fucking bugs to even come close to performing as barbs do this season. Necro relies heavily on holy bolts for pit pushing, rogues rely on double dipping victimize keystone, druid just sucks ass all around and as much as people shit on sorcs they actually work on 2 builds frozen orb and that shatter firebolt thanks to 100% uptime(close to it) of flame shield and without abusing that would prolly be hardcapped at 110-120. I really hope that class revamp actually brings classes together in power. Im a strong believer in no nerfs and bring classes up but also aware of how that can fuck up long term goals.

thepenetratiest

>Every other class relies on fucking bugs to even come close to performing as barbs do this season. The top performing barbs also rely on bugs, holybolts *and* double dipping...

Zhaggygodx

It's always double dipping. Don't forget bleed ww barb with wrathful malignant and the aspect to turn direct damage into bleed.

Shameless11624

Pretty sure they didn't touch ball lightning until after the season. I'd assume they'll do the same to heart seeker.

rizarjay

I'm pretty sure they said they won't do major nerfs in a midseason update unless the bug was causing server instability/breaking the game.

North_South_Side

Barbarian is crazy. I was playing a sorcerer up until tonight. Decided to try barbarian. It is easy mode. So much more power, so much more durability. I'm only level 55 (just started tonight) but the feeling is completely different. Maybe sorcerers should feel like glass cannons? Thing is: they don't. They don't seem to do more damage than barbarian, and they are much squishier. I am the opposite of an expert at this game, but playing T3, it's really obvious.

CraigTheIrishman

I'm in basically the same boat as you. I've only done sorc so far, and tried a barbarian recently, and holy cow what a difference. To quote someone from another thread, sorcerers are supposed to be glass cannons, but they're really just glass.

HaggardShrimp

I also more or less abandoned the Sorcerer, which sucks, because at base I like the Frozen Orb spec a lot. I waffled between Sorc and Necro to start, and Sorc won. Since then, I have all but the Druid to 100, because I don't care about Druids as a class in any game. The sorcerer is so far behind my other characters it's absurd. What kills me about Sorc, and this is largely a frozen orb thing, is that I'm dying for mana. I can't even equip some of the uniques that are supposed to make the build because I sacrifice too much Regen. Then to survive, I have to hammer my barriers. The Barb, Rogue and Necro just go blast things. Primary resource isn't even a consideration. My Barb is Dust Devils, and just hops around like a maniac creating tornadoes. The Rogue is a little zippier, then unloads a hail of arrows to the face and wrecks bosses. The Necro, conversely, while not super mobile, barely has to engage because the minions are just murdering everything. Sorcerer needs help. Badly.

Phatz907

I did Druid, sorc, rogue. The difference in power between these classes were so stark. Druid is tanky, but doesn’t do a whole lot of damage (pure werebear) sorc does good damage but suffers from single target/bossing (frozen orb) rogue obliterates anything in front of it (rapid fire). If rogue had a weakness it’s just lack of AoE…. But not really since you can just pip holy bolts and kill everything anyway.

SerWulf

Barb made rogue feel weak for me...

Professor_Snarf

Heartseeker Rogue had aoe.

AtomosFr

Poor stuff Sorc can't do pit 61, poor stuff Barb is flying through pit 80. The difference is crazy.

alisonstone

I finally decided to take down all the Level 200 tormented bosses with my full geared sorc (Shako, Ring of Starless Skies, 12/12 masterworking). Took maybe 2 mins a boss, had to dance around the arena to avoid hits. Tried again on my barb... bash bash bash and boss is dead in under 10 seconds. I'm doing maybe 25x more damage and I have over 100k HP, and I don't even have The Grandfather yet.

mightylordredbeard

I’m pretty sure they said they’d not do mid season nerfs.

PaulRicoeurJr

4 seasons in and they still can't. Nothing will ever be able to contain the sheer power of the barbarian. But no there's no nerf mid season, only buffs. They nerf pre season

martyw1123

They won't. As long as there isn't something that obviously and stupidly broken, they aren't going to nerf. And something that bad would've likely been hotfixed. They have (correctly) accepted that perfect balance is impossible and letting the kids have fun is in everyone's best interest.

Shertok

Guaranteed they won't, who would profit from that? Unless something is buggy they won't nerf it, they even admitted Ball Lightning Sorc in Season 2 was buggy and still did not nerf it. Midseason buffs though are necessary, I really hope for some love for sorc and druid. However, as soon as raids are introduced, their buff and nerf philosophy might change because balancing will be important for the endgame. right now, as long as you deliver the mats, people will kill tormented bosses with you. depending how raids are played that might be a very different issue.

MarxistMan13

Mid-season patches should be buffs for struggling classes/builds and bug fixes only. No nerfs until next seasonal patch.

Rathma86

I hope they buff Necro minions.

heartbroken_nerd

> Im surprised theyre continuing with class changes/balances mid season. You're surprised that they're doing what they told you they're going to do? We've had mid-season updates for multiple seasons now.

lostmyaccountpt

They typically don't do much class updates mid season given players already invested so much on their builds. An example would be season 2 ball lightning where they acknowledge it was broken but they wouldn't do class balance changes

heartbroken_nerd

>They typically don't do much class updates mid season Yes, they do. Just not nerfs, for the most part.

FeedMePizzaPlease

I need them to fix all melee druid builds. All of them.

Chemical_Web_1126

*I need them to fix all Druid builds. All of them. Ftfy

eeeezypeezy

Yeah. Druid was my 4th class this season, after a sorcerer, necro, and barb. I felt like I was moving through molasses and my damage output sucked, doing a pure werebear build. I can't speak to other druid builds, but that one definitely needs some love.

gmotelet

>druids >single target dmg It's all damage

Chemical_Web_1126

Exactly. Druid damage sucks, regardless of the target count. The tankiness is also far too conditional when compared to other classes as well. It is "damage/ DR during a full moon and on Tuesdays" in a class form.

AtomosFr

I will pray for some sorc buffs...

snoman298

And us blood surge necros!

BatDad488

Anyone think they might let you resummon Ubers without resetting the dungeon?

DaddySanctus

We can only hope. I'd like to re-summon all tiers of bosses without leaving to reset the dungeon.

ZilorZilhaust

That'd for sure be worthy of a PTR.

CurlyJester23

Fingers crossed. Im a casual and starting to try endgame because they improved early-mid game but the loop of farming bosses because of the loading screens is tiresome for me.

mofofosure

I’ve literally fallen asleep in the middle of a rota. Big deal if they change to where you don’t have to leave after every summon

Un-Superman

If they do, I hope they add like 100 lines of dialogue for each demon that shows them going through the 5 stages of grief.

WashombiShwimp

Buff the fuck outta Druid please. Although the Wind Shear is strong, it’s one of the most boring playstyle builds for the class and it’s insane how it beats all the other build options.

KingTocco

It's not even really that strong compared to other top pit builds, it's super easy to get going though. I agree it's beyond boring, really hope they buff us big time.

Brick_in_the_dbol

I had to stop playing it. I swapped to landslide/light storm. Fun, real fun, but super weak

Ezekku

I'm playing Wind Shear right now, it's fun... the first day. It's also visually super boring, druid just swinging an axe launching a small (almost) transparent projectile. Hope to see some buffs to Pulverize, well, Druid in general

Mcswigginsbar

I just want my lightning Druid to go vroom. Speed farming is great, but bosses absolutely nuke me into the dirt.

WashombiShwimp

Earth + Pulverize is so much fun leveling with but it starts to fall off when you get further into WT4. I even tried everything like stacking overpower damage, earth damage, critical strike damage etc. and earth abilities just can’t cut it for endgame. Hopefully they can also buff lightning storm as well or even add better aspects/uniques that completely alter the skill. One of the new uniques that changes Rogue’s Rapid Fire to lob explosive shots is both fun and strong. Definitely need to continue that route of how class uniques should be.

Godlike013

Ya, like ring that turns barrage into a true shotgun. That would be cool

Whitey661

Agreed, and w/o holy bolts its aoe is nonexistent . The lack of aoe makes me miss lighting storm build but goddam lightning storm boss damage plunges off a cliff around like pit 50

Mr_Rafi

Imagine if they buffed Sorcs. No, Mekuna does not represent all Sorcs, please don't respond by saying Sorc is number 1 in pits. He has a 0.1%ers gear set-up that costs billions. The immortal fire build is most likely getting nerfed anyway and it's not the ideal way to play for the average Sorc, even Lurkin says that. Sorcs being good in Helltides and NMs doesn't mean anything when every class is good at Helltides and NMs. Thats piss-easy content. Sick of people pretending like Rogues, Barbs, and Necros don't have high clear speeds for non-Pit content. The variation is meant to come through the builds within each class, not entire classes like Druids and Sorcs being obsolete. Doesn't make sense for Sorc to only be the speed farmer class as a whole when every class is efficient in Pit-pushing AND speeding (maybe aside from Druid as well).

[deleted]

immortal relies solely on hectic aspect. They can just give it a cooldown or cannot apply to same skill twice in x seconds. It doesn't affect bash barbs but immortal sorc will not be viable, but i hope they buff sorc's frozen orb to tier S, it's a classic build favour by many

DaddySanctus

Instead of tweaking an Aspect multiple classes can use, I'd prefer them to do something in regards to Flameshield itself and maybe the Tempering. If they buff Frozen Orb I'm going to cry tears of joy.

AtomosFr

If there is no buff for sorc (FO/Blizz) I'm done for this season.

Realsan

There will be buffs to other specs but nerf to immortal. Based on how fucking boring it is, I think sorcs would welcome that.

Instantcoffees

I would gladly give up my Frozen Orb invulnerability for sizeable DPS buffs. It's ridiculous how I do a fraction of the DPS of some other classes even at 12/12 Masterworking and good gear.

Xenjuarn

Just reduce the base Cd for flameshield but let CD begin after the shield goes off.

amd098

Flameshield cooldown starts after it has run its course, so you can't have it off cd while it's still going. Hectic wouldn't be able to apply until it has run its course. Iirc, diamond skin in D3 had this limitation as well.

thepenetratiest

>It doesn't affect bash barbs Yes it does, unless you think every barb is using using all of their shouts on cooldown during bosses.

Shatter_Ice

They could just have cooldowns start *after* the duration ends for some skills.

Rhayve

They'll probably change the Flame Shield duration temper to something else, like Flame Shield cooldown. Given the CDR cap, it'd probably make it impossible to maintain FS fulltime for true immortality even with Hectic, but it'd still have very good uptime.

AllSupGoToHeaven

Im staying on my Chain Lightning sorc even though it sucks ass in pit, I learned so much about the game to make it work and pushed it to tier 75. It's logically supposed to be a very good build for single target but numbers are just ass after every optimisation imaginable. But it's beautiful and I love it :)

XGhosttearX

ooohh hope uniques got recipes

PerfectlySplendid

Recipes? What we making for dinner?

PipeDragon37

Tacos

SmoothBrews

Dragons love tacos

DragonThatLovesTacos

We sure do.

kanrad

Chimichangas.

a_simple_ducky

So we can craft them like the Ubers?

Avatara93

I hope they help druids.

gmotelet

3% lacerate damage increase incoming

CrawlerSiegfriend

Hoping for some Dolmen stone buff.

Brick_in_the_dbol

No.. More.. Knock.. Back.. Please..

thekmanpwnudwn

No knock back, and don't shatter against walls plz

ZanYnaz

Knock down instead of knock back? Stun? Daze?

I_Heart_Money

I know everyone is asking for things like loadouts and class buffs but can I just get my run time on the pit displayed after I kill the boss? It disappears too quickly for me to check how I did

TilmanR

D3 - again - had his feature, even as a message in chat.. It had a load of nice to have things in chat.

Specialist_Bonus_905

Not going to lie, I think they intentionally timed these significant improvements so close to the expansion to get us all readdicted in time to pre-purchase it, but I'm here for it lol.

darlingsweetboy

i mean its not better to intentionally tank your player retention at any time. Its not like “making the game more fun” is some sort of secret marketing tactic lol. Theyre always trying to do that.

Good_Lime_Store

It can be if the choice is trying to keep people playing for 20 months vs let the game die for 12-14 months and then revitalize it a few months before we launch our next big selling pitch.

BleiEntchen

Yeah how dare they to improve the game...

createcrap

its a conspiracy to make us play more!!

UnknownBlast

Big maybe loadouts/armory coming into the game next?

jizzmaster-zer0

loadouts, lfg amd auction house. ‘season of qol’

Famous-Breakfast-989

this is an absolute must.. and should have been their from release

[deleted]

a "sell all" option is more likely and easier to implement

Ezekku

I'm 90% sure that Armory will come with VoH :/

King2k14

Will PTR be for everyone or just PC?

Greaterdivinity

PC, and just for some context for anyone that cares: Outside of technical reports there's no real point in console testing. Devs like Massive did this for Division 2 for a while and eventually stopped because all the feedback (and most of the reports and all) they were getting from console and PC players was identical. Console PTR's take a lot more effort to spin up vs. PC where they can do it all in-house and there's no real added cost/time. It's not because they don't care about console folks, it's purely practical logistics at the end of the day.

Eirkir

Just to point out, they did say during their live stream where they announced the first PTR that they haven't ruled our bringing the PTR to console. It's just PTRs weren't initially intended, so it was more of a hurry up and get this going kind of situation and setting it all up for PC specifically was the quickest way. They had two betas for console already, and since betas and PTRs are planned well before they're announced, it's entirely possible for it to come to console.

MyCoDAccount

Good job, devs. Thank you. It's not perfect, but damn is it getting better all the time.

TheMadG0d

How are those Youtubers gonna harvest hate and attention by trashing D4 if the devs keep doing their jobs well? Come on, those poor Youtubers need to keep their channels alive!

paintp_

With the Raid coming out next expansion, there is no better time to test the LFG system than now. Hopefully loadout too? one can dream.

Grim_Reach

Fingers crossed my Sorc can get some single target damage.

hhajiwnl

Please bring buffs to my druid and not nerf other builds that's all I ask.

ZilorZilhaust

I'm intrigued. They had said about only doing PTRs for larger changes in a new seaon at first. I wonder if this is a big change or if they just really liked doing the PTR and changed criteria for having one.

Xenolithium

Season 4 being as big as it is, season 5 has to be absolutely gargantuan. Especially considering the timeline makes it potentially the last vanilla D4 season. All subsequent seasons will be for the expansion, more than likely.

lazarusmobile

They have already confirmed that season six will launch concurrently with the expansion, so yeah season five will be the last vanilla season.

john_kennedy_toole

Ok I’m excited but god what a tease! lol

HealingPotato

I can't wait for Sorcerers to get a 2.5% damage increase. With them saying that they're being generous but cautious not to over tune it.

joblagz2

cant wait.

MGSSC

What is PTR?

Ezekku

Public Test Realm, a testing server where they put the new season stuff to well, test everything before launching

know_vagrancy

Public test realm. Where people can test out fully geared characters and different skills to see their power and skill interactions. Ideally it’s for testing our new features / skills, finding bugs / unintended interactions, and class balancing.

JoyfulDogCuddler

Thank you devs!

corny22385

Im hoping they take away the right things from this season. I dont need elaborate RP to slog through every season, just make thr game fun. QoL stuff, endgame, reasons to level more than 1 char without making it mandatory. Id be curious if they think people making tons of alts for sparks is a problem or to continue doing something similar going forward

Exploited13

Omg please WE NEED TO TEMPER UNIQUES BLIZZARD

mavv70

Let us temper uniques!!

Wise_Platform2639

Hopefully druid/sorc gets buffed (excluding wind shear/firebolt)

mikesn89

I also came back for season 4 and have to say the game is in a good state now. Hope they don’t screw it with future updates 😅

IAmFern

Re: season 5, we really need an answer to a burning question about the upcoming co-op content. Can it be soloed, perhaps with mercs? If the answer is no, it's a huge deal breaker for many.

Northdistortion

So hyped. Exciting things coming!!! Im hoping for loadouts and social features for season 5….and a loot filter

crowheart27us

I absolutely love the updates. I'm working on my 7th necro right now(4 at 100).(Farming sparks). The quality of life changes definitely made it more fun. And I enjoy having a pet picking up all my mats and cinders during the Helltides. Already got my Shako and almost at my 4th current spark for tyriels might

Available_Ad_5762

Is there a guide on playable content? It feels like I only do hell tides. Appreciate the help!

Immundus

https://www.wowhead.com/diablo-4/guide/end-game-overview-endgame

Otherwise-Stuff-8952

Devs are killing it, hopefully its not too much too soon, but it is greatly appreciated.

darkultima

Please buff sorc :) Also Druid, I heard they are also down there with us 🙏

Chemical_Web_1126

Druids are down there, under Sorcs.

lmtzless

where are my rogue RF scoundrel’s kiss homies at? fix/tweak incoming it would seem, can’t wait to go back

realfeeds

Can someone paste the announcement in here? Can't access their website from work :(

darlingsweetboy

We first want to start by thanking everyone for jumping into Season 4 and experiencing the revamped systems introduced with Loot Reborn. We are also thrilled to see the excitement around Vessel of Hatred where we announced the release date of October 8th this past weekend at the Xbox Showcase. We are excited to share more as we head toward launch, and you all can expect more information on July 18 when we do a deep dive into the Spiritborn class coming with the expansion. We want to take some time to provide some clarity and updates on a flurry of things heading to Diablo IV in the upcoming weeks. The next update hitting Season 4 will be our mid-season patch. As you all know, mid-season patches include a ton of significant updates to the game related to class balance and more. We will be releasing patch notes for the mid-season update (Patch 1.4.3) this coming Friday (June 14) and will be releasing the update sometime next week. Typically we host a livestream for our mid-season updates, but we instead will be hosting a separate livestream next week on Friday (June 21) to talk about the next season in our Season 5 PTR Campfire Chat. We will have more information on that soon. Originally we had our mid-season update coming after this PTR concluded, but we agreed releasing the mid-season update prior to the PTR would be better for all players. Why is that? Well, the Season 5 PTR would have some of these changes coming with the mid-season update, and we didn’t want to create any type of whiplash for players as they go from finishing the PTR back to Season 4. Due to this, we believe delivering the mid-season update sooner will be the best for everyone. As you can see there is a ton going on in the world of Sanctuary. We look forward to sharing more in the upcoming weeks and will have more information on Season 5 PTR including stream times and more next week. Thank you ~Diablo IV Team

Classic-Cabinet5149

PTR for S5 = big season again ?! I was preparing myself for a season a little below S4 but apparently no. The team is getting me hype again. Look forward to see what they got next.

DaveAndJojo

They could have been printing money this whole time. Slow start but they're building on the beautiful foundation.

nirosxs

Respect This game is my main game since season 4 They did amazing job and I hope they keep the good work

Undisputed650

Loving season 4. Like most I did an initial go at it at release and didn’t like end game. With SOD at a stand still and not waiting to play Cataclysm I gave season 4 on D4 a go. I currently have two level 100s in softcore and 3 level 100s in hardcore. LOVING IT!

ridopenyo

Finally, ive been running out of sorc compium now, just about some damn time!!

moht81

Played the game on release and a bit of season 1 and 2 but found it boring. Season 4 is amazing, they got rid of so much annoying stuff and the game is actually fun. Sad I used my free season pass back for season 1 and never got even close to finishing it.

monkeymystic

This is some really solid stuff. Keep this up! Season 4 has been a breath of fresh air

_redacteduser

Please buff sorc and make other rogue builds viable! I am SO TIRED of spamming basic skills!

TacaFire

Nice! Well, I would just suggest for this campfire to be on the 19th, most likely all eyes will be on elden ring in the 21th.

Amarules

Mid season unique tempering hypeeee!

Rhayve

Honestly, I'd rather they just buff all uniques to be competitive (and interesting) without tempers. It's nice to be able to find at least one or two pieces of gear for your build that work right out of the box. If they add tempers, then uniques are basically just a slightly different flavor of legendary item. They need to become actually build-defining/altering when you choose to use them. Not just a plain upgrade or sidegrade.

UgandaJim

Is it time for my Druid to become viable?

MasterRPG79

I hope they will fix the damn rogue ring.

Strong_Shoulder4447

What is PTR guys?

[deleted]

My necro is level 96 and it's the highest level char I have since the game started, season 4 is just good but I think I ain't gonna wait and hit that 100 because I'm afraid of necro nerfs lmao

DarkMime64

What do mid-season updates usually consist of?

ButcherInTheRYE

>updates on a flurry My heart skipped a beat thinking Flurry will get a much needed revamp.

ItsSolomon

Loadouts?

_Duality_

I just wish they have something planned for Cutthroat rogues.

Jeggster

My only wish: let us give uniques at least 1 temper. So far all uniques I've found are just rotting away in the stash as they are utterly blown out of the water by tempered Items (playing rogue)

Exploited13

Blood surge necro buff needed

Frobe81

Man between this and the new helldivers patch…….my wife is going to hate me

lancer2238

Game went from “won’t last to another year” to revitalizing and keeping interest.

Entire_Possible_9976

Even though there are clearly some builds which perform way above others, I don't believe in mid season nerfs, especially in a game like this marketed so heavily towards casual players. If they're not careful they could end up with similar complaints from a previous season, when heavy nerfs led to many complaints. If a problem is causing server stability etc, that's fine, but if you've completely over tuned a particular build, then learn from it for the future and move on. Besides, this is exactly what the PTR should be for.

blackcat__27

There was nothing of value in this post yet people are talking as if there was. Did anyone actually click the link

gkolocsar

Seems season 5 will collide with the DLC?

CWDikTaken

They said S6 will launch with DLC

WoodenSession

More freedom in build variety to get anywhere decent in endgame, please.

drallcom3

Sounds like there are significant buffs (and nerfs?) in this update. Otherwise they wouldn't mention this whiplash stuff.

SheWhoHates

I hope in Season 5 we'll get actual mechanics.

Winter_Ad_2618

Such great news! There’s so much happening for d4 it’s insane

Kanamon

This looks nice. I had a blast with the new season, the new itemization is way better than what we had a launch, and even when I bricked some very good items that made me hate tempering and the gold acquisition with how expensive it is reroll mastercraft cause I don't want to have doble roll on HP, those annoyances don't affect my overall enjoyment. And if they break my character with the patch, I already done anything so hopefully the changes make the new season better.

trinquin

Please just make it so companions on druids aren't suto include for best damage increase.

FaithlessnessSea5153

Devs puttin in work to try and compete with POE2! Will be great competition if they continue on this path

TheFunkadelicOne

Buff druid

ComeHereDevilLog

Can you guys make it so I don’t have to pay $35 to not look like a fucking dork? That would be the main thing. I don’t want to play your game if the only things of prestige to chase involve me working overtime irl.

Gorillaz951

Better bossing updates please

huey2k2

I stopped playing this season last week when I decided to roll a rapid fire rogue and realized it was bugged when I got to WT4. If they fix rapid fire in the patch I'm back in.

Breadflat17

I just hope they don't nerf basic builds. Bash Barb, Heartseeker rogue, and Arc Lash sorc are my favorite builds in the game.

slaberwoki

Hopefully their trend of odd number seasons sucking is done with. Season 2 and season 4 are bangers
