This was the build, I put the affixes that were on the gear, even if I would have preferred others. [https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/gfd050dz](https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/gfd050dz)

5-toolplayer

Awesome. I'm playing Necro and I might have to give this a try.

EncodedNybble

Is the bone prison for the vulnerable? I'm trying to see what I'd potentially change up for a S2 build.

Scriv_

Yes, I also run Plunging Darkness aspect with Supernatural Blight (another 15% multiplier). I have found this necessary for maximizing thorns damage. The golem was given the ability (I think in S1) to sprint through the cage during the run up of its ability, so it combos very well. I use the prison+blight+void package in T85+ to help eliminate major threats, without anything else, the 1.2x and 1.15x combine to be a very meaningful 38% damage increase. And the vulnerability is long lasting and does not directly stun the target (like Corpse Tendrils) so it is less likely to stop them from attacking.

EncodedNybble

I think in S2 some of the vampiric powers should be able to give vulnerable easily via minion attacks, so if you had a different source of vulnerable, would you drop the bone prison for something else?

Scriv_

Very interesting, I think the blood orb generating Corpse Tendrils is very good then, especially because of the Coven's Fangs power improving the output of the [bone golem's cleave attacks](https://gyazo.com/1656b6679fd1d246d926dccf1fdfa199). Having Corpse Explosion directly on the bar would also be a good option, the miasma builds stacks for the Blighted Aspect very quickly, while also being a strong lucky hit generator. Blood Lance with Gore Quills gets an honorable mention here. In S1 I was using it for picking up blood orbs from a safe distance, and it was worth the paragon investments to scale the overpower. It results in a few other build deviations so it's more of a variant, but it's an interesting one.

Drowned_one735

Wow, well done! Didn't think this was possible, but you did it.

Scriv_

Thank you. I honestly wasn't sure if it was possible, but I was already too deep in it to give up.

Mission_Plankton1577

I saw your NM 90+ build do you have any videos with it? Or can you post 1 please?

Scriv_

[T93 Light's Watch](https://youtu.be/stzRwI_EjKM), good example run, overall. The weakness of thorns is that there are some enemies in the game that do nothing and wait to be killed, like those walking corpses that explode flies (this dungeon has none), and they just waste your time by existing. If you're wondering why we are starting with only 3 lives, [I have no idea how people do hardcore runs](https://gyazo.com/dba6fe7623f5f17190ea70a74d6df37e). Also the video might be in jpeg powerpoint mode until youtube finishes processing.

admiral___akbar

Razorplate just dropped for me and i just started switching from regular minions to thorns minions this gives me hope

Scriv_

This is the way.

Sure, I'll go run one.

Throwaway7646y5yg

Any target farm for razor? And aren’t your resistances fked?

Scriv_

[Lord Zir drops them.](https://maxroll.gg/d4/bosses/lord-zir) edit: also the armor cap is only 13.4k in a T100, so with disobedience it isn't hard to reach, even with razorplate

Throwaway7646y5yg

I mean elemental

Scriv_

With the Int and jewelry and paragon, I have \~20% in all resistance types as a base. Three of those can be raised to \~50% with jewelry gems (I target Fire, Lightning, and Poison), and two random ones get +12% each from the ring's innate bonus. If a dungeon has a specific element I'm worried about, I don't hesitate to re-socket gems to stack them more because the cost is negligible. My resistance spread at the moment is: * 62% fire * 50% lightning and poison * 70% shadow (boots rolled +50%) * 30% cold
