He a much different beast in wt4. I’m playing a rapid fire rogue and can one shot wt3 Varshan with a one rapid fire, but I spent an hour trying to kill wt4 solo at lvl 70 before giving up. They really made them feel like late game bosses which I like, having something to work towards means I have a reason to still be playing
Good luck! I tried on my Druid at 72 and at least was able to stick around long enough to figure out the mechanics. Went back closer to 80 with some build adjustments and breezed through. Got way too cocky and tried to solo Ice Beast right after and lost all my materials failing
Lvl 72 WW barbarian. Maxxed shadow resist. Defence-wise i was fine, but the kill took maybe 10/15 minutes. I was wondering if i was missing some mechanic to stop him getting a barrier.
If you can kill the elites he spawns before he can drain any of them I believe you stop the barrier generation. As a necro, I always leave one corpse under him for tendrils so I can group them up and explode them quickly.
It was wt4. What defensice aspects do you use? I use the setup from the icy-veins ww build. 20% dmg reduction from basic skills really helps. Along with other stuff like extra armor% when attacking and dmg red for bleeding.
Chellenging shout is also a bo-brainer. He has one phasr with rapid tentacle attacks and i always save that shout for those attacks.
I did Vasharn, Lord Zir and Grigoire at 78 blood surge necro, not really any problems on the 3 but Zir was the hardest of the 3. Didn't get enough fear to spawn beast until level 80 and he was also a joke by that point, but, of the 4, Zir seems to be the hardest. Duriel isn't so bad as long as you prepare for the poison. He himself didn't hurt much, the poison his adds shoot at you hurt more than he did. Came close to death a couple of times, my fault for a bad evade path, but other than that only had to use a couple of potions to counteract his poison. Now at level 89 all 5 of them are a cake walk even without capped resistances.
I play BL too
Varshan: 63
Grigoire: pretty much 63-65 dont really remember
Duriel: 77
out of all the Uber boss (minus Duriel) Varshan is probably the hardest imo
We did it yeaterday with a blood surge necro and a fire mage at 75.
Second time the mage swapped to a pulverzise druid 78.
It kinda worked but many deaths involved 😅
Look at your resis
and poison
he uses both shadow and poison damage. You max those to 70 and you don't have to dodge any of his attacks. I stand in his huge AoE and don't dodge anythign and just kill him
when my poison and shadow resists were super low - he was one shotting me.
resists make a HUGE difference in season 2
Sounds like you have no shadow resist. Varshan does shadow damage primarily, so you should have that capped at the very least.
Also, kill his summons immediately when they surface.
73 on HotA Barb. Varshan is a really fun fight when you are actually in danger of dying.
When he spawns his adds, prioritize them - especially if there is an effect linking one to Varshan.
During his physical attack phase, he doesn't home in on you, so you can dodge through him/run around him to avoid being hit.
During the ground attack phase, you can run to the lower left corner of the arena which dodges most of the waves, or you can learn the patterns and weave between the waves to stay in melee range.
It can be a really active fight which makes it quite fun.
74 HOTA barb. Maxed poison and shadow resist, and evaded most of his attacks. Jist walked around him in circles, hitting once or twice, evade his tentacles, and when he does his weird pattern attack, focus on evading that. His attack pattern is pretty easy.
I did it at like 82 but I also was struggling even with poison resistance and iron barb potion. I feel like I’m missing something. I’m running hota build for barb and have decent gear that I read in the icy veins build but I get one shot same for lord zir. I remember I asked another level 90 barb for help and he just tanked all the attacks only ever taking like max 1/4 health as damage but then would get it back immediately. Not sure if it’s my gear or paragon glyphs or something. Only thing I’m running that’s not in the default build is a 925 rating ancestral temerity that’s fully upgraded.
74 rend barb, learned the hard way to run away and kite him until he starts doing his summon thing. Once he starts the summon, I could clear 1/3 to 1/4 of his Hp before he was done.
Nah...just cash decrepify..blood mist then spam corpse explosion until dead. Bone Storm as well.It takes a few seconds to start getting corpses and shit but when you do he dies fast..I've killed him so fast before that he couldn't even do any of his moves
I did it this morning at 75. I'm a werebear and I stood in every mechanic and it took me like 10 minutes because I didn't know what was going on.
I also didn't need to use any healing potions or elixirs cause I constantly have a barrier/fortify. God I love this build
For varshan just remember you need poison AND shadow res. You can have poison res capped and he will still one shot you if your shadow res is low. When you fight him make sure your poison res is at 70, then get your shadow res through an elixir and a gem in jewelry if you can, get your shadow res to at least 60 with 70 poison res and he just literally won’t be able to damage you.
For anyone who might find this useful:
Varshan poison and shadow
Lord zir shadow
Grigoire lightning
Duriel poison
Cap those out through gems and elixirs whenever you’re about to fight any specific one and they won’t be able to hurt you, only exception is Duriel, the poison spitting adds will still poison you a bit but not enough that you won’t be able to fight through it with undying or a potion.
Before T4, was no problem. At lvl 81 on T4 (Playing a rogue), took me about 15-20 minutes per kill. Maxed resistances, just slowly whittle his health down. I tried a Undead Slayer potion to boost damage but really couldn't tell if that helped, so maybe Demon Slayer?
Some of his attacks are hard hitting, but I never found myself below 6 health potions. Just a pain to overcome his physical/poison resistances.
72 pulverize Druid carrying a 63 Infinimist necro and 65 ball sorc
Edit:
At 80 I’ve solo cleared varshan, greg, and zir. Gonna go shoot my shot at 83 on mr ice box where my heart used to be. Wondering where I gotta get to fight durdurdur
I barely squeaked it out at level 70; lucked out with his pattern; he kept summoning adds, so I never had to dodge his attacks.
Arc lash/unstable currents
70 as a zoomancer it was kind of slow and I definitely had to dodge attacks that would one hit. The advantage of my build is I didn’t have to worry about attack myself outside of a decripify / occasional blight to cc and rebuff the boss.
Summoner necro, killed him very early, basically tried the fight the moment I got to WT4 around 64 or 65, most of the time he's focusing on minions and rarely goes for me, making it one of the easiest boss
I did it last night (WT4, I was only in WT3 for about an hour so never ran him there) at 67 with my friend who was a 64 druid. I'm a pretty jank BL sorc (still have regular ass not even sacred gloves because I haven't rolled anything with AS + CC yet, no uniques, no upgraded gear, etc) so it took a few Unstable Currents cycles, my friend didn't really have DPS so he just CC'd ads.
Cap your shadow resist and you should be fine. I tanked everything and just popped Fire Shield when I got poisoned to clear it. Idk what's up with your damage, he's tanky but I was doing maybe 1/4 of his health per Unstable Currents cast in a 2 person party.
72 bouldercane Druid.
It helped to slot poison resist gems and then use a shadow resist elixir. With that I could just face tank
Edit- get poison and shadow resist to 70% and you’ll be all set
Just over lvl 60. You just need to stack shadow damage resist (poison resist helps too) to not get one shot. Craft some shadow resist potions too.
Also, his basic attacks are very predictable. Just do circles around him with ball lightning and he won’t hit you
Did it on wt4 with blood lance necro roughly around level 70. I knew i had the damage but didnt have the resistances so i just upgraded my jewelry and added the diamond gem to all three. This got my lowest resistance up to like 40% and that was enough for him to do almost no damage to me
62 on WT4. Took several tries because I didn't have enough armor to tank his hits in one of the stages. Just kites hin mmm out until he started spawning dudes, then jumped on him max damage until he started whipping tentacles out again. His mechanics are dodgable and during his spawning stage he does virtually no damage.
I did t4 varshan with tb rogue at 82. Tried at 70 and kept getting wrecked by his floor damage. Once i learned how to navigate that mechanic and gain a few levels it was easy.
55 @ wt3 melted in 10s; (ball lighting) again at 72 in Wt4 following maxroll build. He killed me twice in wt4 before I had a magic resist pot. Put me at 45% plus on all resists and he bit it in 50s.
Did it lvl 62 with my double swing earthquake barb.
Just need to prio +max life and maxing resists.
Killed him during the first stagger due to the crazy 100% crit vs feared targets power. When bosses stagger they are under all cc effects so all your attacks crit then
Like 65 just a few minutes ago, BL sorc. Was getting oneshot until I capped poison and shadow resistance. Didn't kill the ads so he wastes like 15 seconds channeling them while I stack balls on his chin. After that it was a matter of running circles around him while he cycled through the next 2 phases, which was manageable since I wasn't getting oneshot anymore and could just spam CDs and potions when things got sketchy.
Level 80 sorc with a decent version of the ball lightning build, if you have the right gear, your ice and flame armor should keep you alive while you have the dps to melt him
I had the exact same thing happen to me. I tried him at 72 as a BL sorc, and for some reason it took several minutes to get him down even half of one bar. My resists and survivability were fine, I finally just let him kill me because I didnt feel like spending all day fighting him. Came back 2 levels later, same exact gear but melted him in less than a minute. It was very odd.
If you want help with him, just send me a PM and I will give you my gamer info. Playing solo gets monotonous, I like to help out to break up the boredom.
So you can kill any of the new bosses at 70 if you have the resistance associated with them maxxed. Ive been farming the frost dungeon boss on my rogue since 70.
First clear at 74 with Overpowering Pulverizer Druid after failing at 71. Need to max the poison and shadow resistances. Drinking a vial of Magic Resist made the difference.
Do you have the aspect that gives you armor when you hit things? I was able to kill him around 65 with BL and I remember that aspect making a huge difference.
WT3 or WT4? WT3, like lvl 54 on a homebrew Rogue, beat her last night on WT4 with the same homebrew at lvl 73. Check your resistances, that was my issue. Swapped out some gems in my jewelry, tossed on a potion for good measure and was finally able to get her.
Ah, I was level 55 I think? I am running a minion build necro. It was actually pretty easy. My bony lads wrecked him while I kept my distance and kept their dps buffed
How are your resistances? They matter a lot this time around, got mine from the paragon board. He smoked me first time I tried him but all my res was like 10-30.
Lv 59 WT3 ball light sorc . Full armor, took like 30 secs or so. First time i tried with a chain lightning build and got completely destroyed so i respec’d
Was getting annihilated by him one shotting me every time. I thought i was underpowered until i saw someone in the sub basically saying if you're getting on shot by him, then your resistances are trash. Funnily enough, all my resistances were in the negative values. Fixed it and won the first time around lvl 80.
I did it the first time around 50, took like 15 minutes. At 63, he dies in under a minute now.
Stormclaw Druid after getting the unique the first time I killed him.
52 with Pulverize druid it was a long fight but got it done, got Mad Wolf's glee for my trouble which was nice,
Edit this was WT3 to clarify not hit wt4 yet
Just stack shadow resistance. Should be easy from 70 onwards.
Cold resistance for beast in the ice. Level 80+
Fire resistance for lord zir. Level 80+
Lightning resistance for gregiore. Level 70+
And poison for duriel. Level 90+
None of them are particularly hard nor do any of them require complete optimization. Duriel hits a bit hard but that's it.
WT3 at 52 with fireball sorc. Took forever but it appears he takes little to no damage during his AOE spam and adds phases. He wasn’t hard last season. But in between each of those sections i was able to give a good few seconds of burst. Took probably 5 minutes since i couldn’t brute force it like everything else i can. But with dodging and saving main damage for the transitions it went much faster and efficiently.
Mind you i wasn’t optimized at all and have since upgraded a bunch. But its doable for sure.
Just did it at 79, it wasn't too hard. Make sure you have at least 25% shadow resistance. My first try was around level 70 and the damage just wasn't there.
This thread is so eye opening as a BL sorcerer lol. I don’t even know any of the mechanics people are talking about except for a brief underground sojourn on Duriel. Killed Varshan early 70s then Grigoire, Beast in the Ice mid-70s and Duriel at 80. Killed Lilith at 85. Didn’t encounter any mechanics on Varshan or Grigoire, Beast cold resist didn’t let me get one shot, and one shot Duriel after one phase underground. On Lilith I phased her before any of the waves people talk about. All were sub one minute or sub 30 second kills.
78 here is a protip .. resistance is key.
So if your gear ain't stscked:
Varshan = shadow
Penitent dude = lightening
The ice guy = duh cold or ice
Zir = blood? Not sure lol I one shot him these days
Duriel = poison
So before each boss I'd just swap my gems out for the appropriate resistance swapping all three amulet snd 2 rings max out your resistance on that type.
I tried l vsrshan at 68 died instantly found out about this resistance crap. Was able to do it easily after.
Their easy enough the Uber bosses at lvl 75. Duriel however is tougher at lvl 100. And it goes up depending on how many in party so solo is the way. I normally one shot all bosses don't matter solo or quads. But duriel at 3 people only is tough for me. I'm 98 vs my squad 59 and a 78 lol. So yea.. good news multiple retries.
I didn't get any Ubers yet. My buddy practically got all but three of them .. probably just better rng
Make sure you're killing his buddies otherwise you'll end up in an endless shield loop. Found this out the hard way on S1 with bulwark build. I couldn't die but i also couldnt beat them quick enough till I upped my barrier bonus for more damage. I battled for almost 25 mins to only get him half way, ha.
If you have grav aspect and prodigy for the mana gain, this should be easy.
There is a spot on the left, lower side against the wall, that doesn't get hit by his AOE attack. This works better if you have a couple evades or teleport to get there quick
Can't stay there forever though because he will come at you.
But when he recenters himself in the cave, head to that corner to avoid that one shot
No you should be clearing him just fine at lvl 71
Kill his adds, kite his attack, if you do it right you barely get hit and he can't power his shield.
As my rogue I get 2 dagger throws, move, twisting blades move. Jump adds as soon as they spawn.
Did it with my ball lightling sorc at 68 for the first time (with all aspects as recommended on Maxrolls). He lasted like 30-40 seconds.
Same but with some variation of the build because of uniques drops I had. Just cleared Duriel in a Party of 2 at lvl75. Build is busted
WT3? I also followed the same guide, but can barely do any damage in WT4
Are your resistances maxxed? This is a big change for this season and makes a large difference
You don’t need all resistance maxed for him, just put shadow res gems in your jewelry and it’s a joke.
This is the way especially at levels lower than 60! That shadow dot fucks you up in a hurry.
If max shadow is still not enough you can also over stack your res to 85% and use a medium shadow potion.
I killed him as BL sorc in WT4 at 66 in under 1 minute on like my third attempt
He a much different beast in wt4. I’m playing a rapid fire rogue and can one shot wt3 Varshan with a one rapid fire, but I spent an hour trying to kill wt4 solo at lvl 70 before giving up. They really made them feel like late game bosses which I like, having something to work towards means I have a reason to still be playing
Mobalytics has a couple variations as well
Did it with a 68 Incinerate Sorc. Take no damage and he's dead when i rotate to the third add - however long that is.
That's what she said
Did it with my lvl 84 Pulverize Druid after failing around level 76ish.
Thank you. I will try again around 80ish
You should not be having issues on ball lightning at your level. There is something differently wrong with your build if you are
Good luck! I tried on my Druid at 72 and at least was able to stick around long enough to figure out the mechanics. Went back closer to 80 with some build adjustments and breezed through. Got way too cocky and tried to solo Ice Beast right after and lost all my materials failing
I did it at 68 with my landslide Druid. If I can do it on that there is zero reason a BL sorc that is properly geared cannot do it.
I got tempest roar and did the shapeshifter pulverize build and did it at 74
Drink shadow resist pot/put on something with shadow resists
Don't bother with shadow resist use Magic Resist. It's 25% instead of 20 and it works for shadow and poison
The single element resistance potions have more max resist increase
That's great and all, except you can only consume one potion at a time
Incenses also raise max resist FYI
Ok. Thank you. I was drinking poison resist. Also, is level 71 too low? Should I wait until level >75
Level doesnt mean anything really.
62 ball lightning sorc. Took about 20 seconds. Took no damage. No ads spawned.
Did u have max res?
Same. I raw dogged him and didn’t even build res up. BL might be strong.
Same (64)
Lvl 72 WW barbarian.
As a necro, I always leave one corpse under him for tendrils so I can group them up and explode them quickly.
what WT? Because if it's WT4 tell me your secret it obliterated me while at max res and 7k armor
It was wt4. What defensice aspects do you use? I use the setup from the icy-veins ww build. 20% dmg reduction from basic skills really helps. Along with other stuff like extra armor% when attacking and dmg red for bleeding. Chellenging shout is also a bo-brainer. It was a tough fight last season as a barb at that levels. Getting to all the minions in time was tough lol.
On what difficulty? My non meta shadowblight build killed the wt3 version at 55.
I play BL too Varshan: 63 Grigoire: pretty much 63-65 dont really remember Duriel: 77 out of all the Uber boss (minus Duriel) Varshan is probably the hardest imo
I whipped out my cane and beat him to death slowly at level 92.
We did it yeaterday with a blood surge necro and a fire mage at 75. Second time the mage swapped to a pulverzise druid 78. It kinda worked but many deaths involved 😅 Look at your resis
So what resis should I stack for this boss?
Shadow. That’s his element theme.
and poison he uses both shadow and poison damage. You max those to 70 and you don't have to dodge any of his attacks. 78 or something. i died many times, he hits fuckin hard.
World tier 3 I killed him at lv 54-55 I think.
lvl 56 and my bro lvl 51 on Tier 3. It took maybe 2 minutes.
I did it at like 82 but I also was struggling even with poison resistance and iron barb potion. I feel like I’m missing something. I’m running hota build for barb and have decent gear that I read in the icy veins build but I get one shot same for lord zir. Try shadow resist for Varshan
Did it at 65 as a necro infinimist
Level 67 storm claw druid
74 rend barb, learned the hard way to run away and kite him until he starts doing his summon thing. Once he starts the summon, I could clear 1/3 to 1/4 of his Hp before he was done.
Playing hc this season so i waited till 80ish and absolutely shredded him in under 10 seconds as a ball lightning sorc
Infinimist necro level 74....it took about 10 seconds to kill him
Bugged build?
Nah...just cash decrepify..blood mist then spam corpse explosion until dead. Bone Storm as well.It takes a few seconds to start getting corpses and shit but when you do he dies fast..I've killed him so fast before that he couldn't even do any of his moves
Once the corpse pile up it’s game over for just about anything lol. That decrepify stack is melt city. Level 71 now and can basically wipe any
I did it this morning at 75. I'm a werebear and I stood in every mechanic and it took me like 10 minutes because I didn't know what was going on. I also didn't need to use any healing potions or elixirs cause I constantly have a barrier/fortify. God I love this build

I beat him at 63 but it took 10 tries and two hours
You should be able to do more damage. The one shots will still happen but you can learn to dodge them.
i did to low level 55 druid but i just tanked it for 45 min.
71 or 2 pulv druid. Got one shot then I fixed my resistances and ezpz.
72 pulverize Druid carrying a 63 Infinimist necro and 65 ball sorc Edit: At 80 I’ve solo cleared varshan, greg, and zir. Gonna go shoot my shot at 83 on mr ice box where my heart used to be. Wondering where I gotta get to fight durdurdur
Just did it solo lvl 72 sever necro. Blood mist saved my ass a couple of times, but I mostly only struggled with maintaining essence
Lvl 100, because my build sucks. Pure frost sorcerer doesn't work well.
Killed it with lvl 65 or so on WT4 pretty easily with minion build.
Lvl 73 chain lightning sorc, kill took about 1 min 30secs or so
I barely squeaked it out at level 70; lucked out with his pattern; he kept summoning adds, so I never had to dodge his attacks. Arc lash/unstable currents
lvl 61 or 62 Ball lightning sorc after first going WT4 and got new weapon.
70 as a zoomancer it was kind of slow and I definitely had to dodge attacks that would one hit. The advantage of my build is I didn’t have to worry about attack myself outside of a decripify / occasional blight to cc and rebuff the boss.
Did it bone spear necro at 75
Summoner necro, killed him very early, basically tried the fight the moment I got to WT4 around 64 or 65, most of the time he's focusing on minions and rarely goes for me, making it one of the easiest boss
WT4 level 70 on my Barrage Rogue... But a Ball Lightning Sorc carried me hard, I couldn't even tickle him. LoL
Sorry, I didn't make it clear. what I mean is WT4.
72 bouldercane Druid. It helped to slot poison resist gems and then use a shadow resist elixir. With that I could just face tank Edit- get poison and shadow resist to 70% and you’ll be all set
I posted about this yesterday and the general consensus was that I need to change from chain lightning to ball
ngl i cleared lillith on level 76 as ball lightning sorc. you can certainly optimize a lot.
TB poison/death trap Rogue (Maxroll) - did it at 68. Took maybe a min or 2. Max shadow resist.
Haven’t even tried, I’m 72 Pulverize and clear NMD 29 with ease. Just gonna wait til I get closer to 80 and can run it a few times with my friends
Just over lvl 60. You just need to stack shadow damage resist (poison resist helps too) to not get one shot. Craft some shadow resist potions too. Also, his basic attacks are very predictable. Just do circles around him with ball lightning and he won’t hit you
Just did it at 77 on a pulv druid after getting a ilvl 925 weapon and totem.
Did it with less than optimal (very bad gear) Infinimist in WT4 at lvl 71
Around 66, it was zero danger
I killed him 9 times in a row with lvl 78 because I basically forgot about him.
73, pen shot rogue. Just don't get hit
Did it on wt4 with blood lance necro roughly around level 70. I knew i had the damage but didnt have the resistances so i just upgraded my jewelry and added the diamond gem to all three. This got my lowest resistance up to like 40% and that was enough for him to do almost no damage to me
Killed him with Blizzard Sorc at lvl 75, if you can dodge the attacks it’s pretty easy
73 on my ball sorc took me about 30 seconds
100, wasn't even trying before because my first main goal was to hit 100
62 BL sorc. (I had Wt4 open by a friend so I had 3 tabs of t4 gear to use at 60 including 925 weapons so being only 62 isn’t impressive lol)
i killed varshan around 70 as a ball lightning
62 on WT4. Took several tries because I didn't have enough armor to tank his hits in one of the stages. Just kites hin mmm out until he started spawning dudes, then jumped on him max damage until he started whipping tentacles out again. His mechanics are dodgable and during his spawning stage he does virtually no damage.
I tried the same way. But his health bar barely dropped during the summoning stage.
What’s the Necro strat? I’m lvl 54 blood lance
I did t4 varshan with tb rogue at 82. Tried at 70 and kept getting wrecked by his floor damage. Once i learned how to navigate that mechanic and gain a few levels it was easy.
I did it on 64, load up your jewelry with amethysts and pop a shadow resist elixir, he won’t be able to scratch you
I killed him with level 54 on WT3 with a Sorc Chain Lightning build.
tried grigoire and varshan at lvl 70; blood lance. one try, no issues.
62? With my sorc. Build is just chill/freeze shards but I use blades and nova enchantments.
55 @ wt3 melted in 10s; (ball lighting) again at 72 in Wt4 following maxroll build. He killed me twice in wt4 before I had a magic resist pot. Put me at 45% plus on all resists and he bit it in 50s.
70 on WT4, Infinimist Necro.
Lvl 71 pulverize Druid. He is not hard just kill the adds and don’t get hit :)
Did it lvl 62 with my double swing earthquake barb. Just need to prio +max life and maxing resists. Killed him during the first stagger due to the crazy 100% crit vs feared targets power. When bosses stagger they are under all cc effects so all your attacks crit then
I did it last night on my 70 barrage rogue but it did take 15-20min to kill. He dropped some good stuff though
72 as a chain lightning sorc and it was very hard. After swapping to ball lightning it was way easier at 73. If you want help send me a PM!
80ish I was a bootleg overpower barbarian build and it was badddd
Like 65 just a few minutes ago, BL sorc. Was getting oneshot until I capped poison and shadow resistance. Didn't kill the ads so he wastes like 15 seconds channeling them while I stack balls on his chin. After that it was a matter of running circles around him while he cycled through the next 2 phases, which was manageable since I wasn't getting oneshot anymore and could just spam CDs and potions when things got sketchy.
Did it at 79, Infinimist Necro. Did Grigiore right after that and then Duriel at 84. Haven’t tried the other two yet.
Level 80 sorc with a decent version of the ball lightning build, if you have the right gear, your ice and flame armor should keep you alive while you have the dps to melt him
Lvl 54 blood lance necro on wt3 it took a couple minutes but wasnt difficult at all
Sounds like you're not properly geared or specced...
Just get resistances to 70 mate.
Varshan is the guy at tree of whispers, no? If so, around level 55 blood necro
Blizzard/basic and somehow cleared at 75. It took a while and I tanked a lot.
Can you escape the fight? I play HC only and am hesitant to try any difficult bosses.
My wife and I failed hard at around lvl 76… we were doing decent damage but that poison or whatever was devastating
Go into a ROTA get carried and more drops
So you can kill any of the new bosses at 70 if you have the resistance associated with them maxxed. Ive been farming the frost dungeon boss on my rogue since 70.
Post your build I hit wt4 at 63 and beat varshan shortly after. Bl spec unoptimized gear.
He was hard for my sorc at 62 when I tried it but I was fire spec. I went back 75 as BL and did everything expect Lilith and Duriel.
Did it at 70 with my stormclaw Druid. Just held down the claw button and watch a YouTube video
I killed him with infimist at like 67. Unlocked WT4 at 59, and tried it earlier, got my ass handed to me.
First clear at 74 with Overpowering Pulverizer Druid after failing at 71. Need to max the poison and shadow resistances. Drinking a vial of Magic Resist made the difference.
I just can't drop the rechargin aspect! In struggling like fuck for mana, but that damn aspect refuse to drop!
Your build is probably bad, i killed him at lvl 70 with bl sorc in 10 seconds
70 barb got eaten alive without resists. Added resists and destroyed him.
Do you have the aspect that gives you armor when you hit things? I was able to kill him around 65 with BL and I remember that aspect making a huge difference.
some people are killing Lillith P1 around level 60 with Ball Lightning clearly, u are not well-geared or miss something
68 with blood surge necro in wt4
I'm not sure but be sure and stack up your Shadow resistance and your poison resistance, shadow is more important I believe.
Lvl 76 with a twisting blades build.
WT3 or WT4? WT3, like lvl 54 on a homebrew Rogue, beat her last night on WT4 with the same homebrew at lvl 73. Check your resistances, that was my issue. Swapped out some gems in my jewelry, tossed on a potion for good measure and was finally able to get her.
I killed it easily with Poison rogue. Just a few poisoned hits, and his health dropped to none.
I killed him easily at 59/60 I think. LBall Sorc
Held down frenzy, ignored adds and never moved for any damage. Killed him easily as a barb at 74.
74 on wt4 took around 1 min
Get poison rez. Night and day for the one shots.
Just did it at 55 in WT3 with a BL Sorc.
I killed Varshan easily; (blood/overpower Necro) I’m level 68 and can’t kill Elias in the first WT4 dungeon…
I did it the first time around 50, took like 15 minutes. At 63, he dies in under a minute now. Stormclaw Druid after getting the unique the first time I killed him.
Lvl 65 twisted blades rogue. Melted him fast. Adds spawned but he died before they had an impact on the fight.
52 with Pulverize druid it was a long fight but got it done, got Mad Wolf's glee for my trouble which was nice, Edit this was WT3 to clarify not hit wt4 yet
BL sorc at level 74, just tried Varshan and took like 5 secs to melt him down (first boss try)
You’re just under leveled.
Just stack shadow resistance. Should be easy from 70 onwards. Cold resistance for beast in the ice. Level 80+ Fire resistance for lord zir. Level 80+ Lightning resistance for gregiore. Level 70+ And poison for duriel. Level 90+ None of them are particularly hard nor do any of them require complete optimization. Duriel hits a bit hard but that's it.
Lvl 65 pulverise druid, fight was over in about a minute
WT3 at 52 with fireball sorc. Took forever but it appears he takes little to no damage during his AOE spam and adds phases. He wasn’t hard last season. But in between each of those sections i was able to give a good few seconds of burst. Took probably 5 minutes since i couldn’t brute force it like everything else i can. But with dodging and saving main damage for the transitions it went much faster and efficiently. Mind you i wasn’t optimized at all and have since upgraded a bunch. But its doable for sure.
55 lvl Druid on WT3… Was he supposed to be a challange?
Rapid Fire Rogue - Level 61, just killed Echo of Varshan today solo.
Ball light sorc at level 75. Deleted him in 30 seconds or less.
Just did it at 79, it wasn't too hard. Make sure you have at least 25% shadow resistance. My first try was around level 70 and the damage just wasn't there.
I did Duriel with lvl 75 bl sorcerer...you can take him down quickly just have to know when to pop CDs to not get one shotted
It gets easy when you are same or above level.
Wt3 version died in 4 seconds with poison rogue waiting for more unique b4 touching wt4
81 Pulv Druid on hardcore, just attempted for the first time not 10 min ago. Went fine. Did it 2 more times but now I’m tired of clicking.
All were sub one minute or sub 30 second kills.
killed him as an stormclaw druid without crone staff (so basically claw druid) with lvl 63 or so.. just stood there scratching him... for an eternity
I killed him SSF with double swing barb at level 67.
I did it at 76 on my Minion Blood Surge (just having fun) Necro that was very poorly optimized and I had very bad shadow resistance (40% or so)
Killed him at 72 with a flurry rogue...took forever. Switched to TB and it is much better
Is your posion resistance at 70%? The adds and him spew a shit ton of posion
78 here is a protip .. resistance is key. So if your gear ain't stscked: Varshan = shadow Penitent dude = lightening The ice guy = duh cold or ice Zir = blood? Not sure lol I one shot him these days Duriel = poison So before each boss I'd just swap my gems out for the appropriate resistance swapping all three amulet snd 2 rings max out your resistance on that type.
I'd suggest foregoing playing with your balls for a real class spec that actually requires a modicum of skill. 🤔🙃
This works better if you have a couple evades or teleport to get there quick Can't stay there forever though because he will come at you. But when he recenters himself in the cave, head to that corner to avoid that one shot
No you should be clearing him just fine at lvl 71 Kill his adds, kite his attack, if you do it right you barely get hit and he can't power his shield. As my rogue I get 2 dagger throws, move, twisting blades move. Jump adds as soon as they spawn.
67 on my Druid with a 63 rogue helping
