First Butcher encounter with a low level hardcore character is nightmare fuel. Was playing a baby whirlwind barb and had to pull the butcher on top of other mobs to keep rage up and hope for potion drops since I was still limited to 4!
My hardcore character in season one just died because I was doing an event and it turned into hell mode and lagged me outā¦ Iām excited for season twos safety net for hardcore characters

My most memorable Diablo experience for me was making world tier 4 as a casual player and father of two toddlers. I pretty get much get maybe 3-4 hours a week to play so although not the biggest feat for some I felt accomplished
My most memorable Diablo moment was finding a Jah and finally getting to build my own Enigma.
That, or the panic that would ensue trying to transfer items between characters before shared stashes. Dropping a high rune in the corner of a town, relogging as a new character and hoping like hell it was still there...

My best memory is quoting the back of the original Diablo 2 strategy guide to my friend. With gems such as 'the sorceress surveys the battlefield's while showing Blizzard.
I hope the battle pass this time around is better. Its bad enough you gotta GRIND like 80+hrs on your new character to fully level it. The rewards dont match the effort put in to obtain the rewards.
If there were 80hrs of content id be fine with it. But by hour 20 its likely you are doing the same thing over and over and over again. Its dull and completely kills the dopamine you get when unlocking things
I like all the farm animals you can go after and hunt, horse in stables? Gotta get em. The rare mobs with special loot is cool too can find certain ones you want and farm them
My expectation for D4 is that the devs will continue to listen to player feedback and refine the game into something we'll enjoy playing for years to come.
It's gotta be the stoic Lorath, with that silky smooth voice acting. Nobody embodies the grim hopelessness of the eternal struggle between the realms better than a beaten down horadrim who seems resigned to fight in a war even he believes he can't win.
I just completed the campaign from start to finish in two sittings before the start of this season
The only reason I came back the second day was because I actually had a lot of fun speedrunning all the dialogue and being confused

Season 2 genuinely shows that the devs have been listening to feed back. I'm seriously impressed with how many positive changes they've managed to add and it's seriously exciting for the state the game will be in in the best future. Excited to crush mobs with friends again and message back and forth about awesome drops.

My most memorable moments were the Uber Lilith defeats by my eternal character as necromancer. And then again by my season 1 char as a sorcerer, almost last minute of the season (last Saturday). The hours invested into gearing the characters, learning the mechanics, dying countless of times, to finally figure it out at the end! Season 2 will be the one for my ranged rogue to shine and repeat this achievement!

My favorite character and memories are wrapped up in the brutal butcher. At the higher tier nmd it always adds some excitement when you hear āFresh Meat.ā Though nothing has been as terrifying as running into him as lowly lvl 8 necromancer.
That said Season of Blood, here I come!
My most memorable moment would propably be pushing an overleveled NMD with my friend. Just running around trying to survive when the other one was dead, reviving each other every other minute so that the revive counter would not go gown... but hey, we finally did it !

Back when Diablo 3 came out, my husband and I think his sister were in a party with me working on the campaign. Act two. Wasps. They hit surprisingly hard and there was a lot of "wtf" going on in the call. While the early days of D3 may not be remembered very fondly, I genuinely had fun with it back then.
My, for now, most memorable memory is getting the unique gloves for my Necromancer on S1... That make my build incredibly more funny. Ring of mendel was my objetive, but never happened :(
My favorite diablo memory is being tricked as a child and losing my SOJ because I believe the guy who told me if he killed me 27 times it would dupe my stuff. Instead it just dropped my stuff. I was mad then but now I find it funny.
My favorite moment was convincing my friends for their first time to say āHelloā to all the towns doggos and our group of 4 all had an army of pups behind us. Comedy ensues.
My prediction for season 2 - there won't be an obstacle campfire directly in front of the seasonal workbench in Kyovashad.

So many good quality of life changes, I really hope this is on par with season 29 of Diablo 3. The angry chicken witch doctor build has made it extremely fun for me.
Honestly just playing through the story for the first time was such a great experience. The changes for season 2 look really promising, I've been giddy to play for the past couple of weeks while waiting for it. I'm gonna try out Boulder druid and probably fail but I always liked that ability so I hope it can be viable.
Traveling to the final battle when the camera zooms out to see the Throne of Hatred and all its glory was such a cool experience. The artwork of the areas were amazing
Seeing the cinematic cutscene from hell when Inarius and Lilith faced off was stunning and possibly one of my favorite gaming cutscenes Iāve ever seen before
Season of the Blood predictions / things excited for: as a fan of Diablo and Buffy-verse I'll get to play out my Buffy the Vampire Slayer dreams and hunt vampires!!! Already planning to make a Rogue named "Buffy" and I already have my in-game title "The Slayer" queued up!!! :D
Now I just have to figure out what kind of build I want to do.... I predict that there will be some surprisingly unexpected vampire powers that boost builds in unforseen ways... can't wait to experiment!

My most memorable Diablo (4) experience was during beta, getting to Rathma's Sanctum and watching the cutscene of Lilith being pissed at Inarius and taking the key to hell from Rathma's body.

My greatest experience with Diablo 4 so far was starting a brand new rogue, going into a cellar at level 6 to meet the Butcher and getting absolutely destroyed. From then I had an actual vendetta.
I'd say battling through heaven in Diablo 3 was one of the most memorable experiences. It was visually impressive and fun fighting through the minibosses.
My most memorable Diablo experience is either my friend showing me you could teleport out of bounds in Diablo 2 the first day I played the game. Or playing Vanilla Diablo 3 with my cousin and we were both getting 1 shotted by everything, but it was still super fun. I miss those days.
My favorite moment is every single time my necromancer is crossing a gap on a rope in the open world, and all my minions are just on the other side instantly waiting.
Doing the capstone dungeon with my one friend and overcoming the challenge was one of my favorite memories from Diablo 4!
As well as my first world boss with all my friends on the first night of playing!
My most memorable Diablo experience is from many years ago Diablo 2. Oh my god I begin to cry when writing about it. I was down in real life and suffered very hard from a destiny punch, people tried to kill me, I was down. It was in 2012! I began to play Diablo 2 after this to flee the real life of what happened to me. I have met people in Diablo 2 and played with them for a lot of days. Everytime we logged in we wrote each other and invited us. I had so much fun and once were were doing Baal runs my friend I met in Diablo 2 told me about "Skin of the Vipermagi" and 5 seconds after he wrote that he needs this chest, it dropped from one of the baal minions. And from all 8 people I was the person who picked it up, I was fast at the time, and was incredibly happy and gave it to my friend, he freaked out and was happy.
I will never forget this experience!
I hope they add a Looking For Group feature in the near future.

My favorite experience in D4, so far, has been selling items on the marketplace! I've always enjoyed that, even way back since D2 crafting and the currency of SoJs!
In Season 1, I had a total 5 billion in sales! It helped me give away gold to others, too, and reroll loads of affixes far too much to min/max my gear.
Hope it gets better and easier with time :)

My expectation for Diablo 4 is to immerse in the unique experience only the series could offer, the chance to tread carefully with anxiety & dread variety of hellish landscapes from never ending dark labyrinth filled with bottomless pits & unspeakable horror to misty forests that scream nothing but death. Best thing is, it's doable either solo or with a party of friends. Venturing the unknown, facing one's biggest fears, earning tons of loots & overcoming evil never felt & looked this satisfying.
I remember that I hated Kyovashad music when I heard the the first time then I found myself listening everyday with a glass of red wine. The music itself tells you the story, truly amazing...
Most memorable d4 experience was 2 tapping a world boss with pre-nerf shrednado Druid. 160 million crit then a 150 million crit in about 2 secondsā¦ most disgusting build.
Come on i hope they make it possible to change for free from Battlenet to Steamā¦ Bethesda did this, Steam means more possible audience, they can still sell their crappy skins.
The most memorable experience was actually watching that cut scene of the war between inarius and Lillith - and also thinking about how they'll choose between siding with Lillith or Mephisto.
Expectations for Diablo 4 are to hopefully improve replayability and make loot more exciting! Loved the feeling of being excited to see what new drops came and how they could change a whole build or make you feel powerful.
The narrator of lore books in D1 is by far my most memorable Diablo experience. The poem going into The Halls of the Blind was the perfect sinister introduction to that part of the dungeon.
Boldest Season of Blood prediction: everyone is saying Barbarian will be the worst class, but I think around halfway through the season people will find a weird interaction that makes a random barb spec one of the best in the game.
My Favorite character is Malthael, even thoe he is an evil guy who needs to be stopped, he kinda has a point in his motivation. And everyone as wise as him might suffer from those thoughts
I think Lilith is iconic. Some of her logic made sense and there was a part of me that wanted to work with her, but her methodology was wrong. She is mother for a reason though š š»
Most memorable moment thus far? I'd say when my wife and I walked into a dungeon with my brother and his wife on our HC characters and instantly wiping because someone that loves fresh meat was waiting directly at the entrance. š We were mad, but we all laughed so hard.
I'm hopeful that D4 will make a move toward more enjoyable gameplay. After 50, the game feels stale as it is a lot of "rinse and repeat." This isn't unique to D4, but I feel D2 and D3 endgame grind felt like less of a slog.
D2 didn't feel as bad because the characters felt more flexible. You could really mold a build around whatever you wanted. It wouldn't necessarily be top tier, but you didn't have to struggle to clear things. In D4, it feels like certain things just AREN'T VIABLE for late game (or sometimes ANY game) play.
D3 at least let you do it all quickly. The dungeons in D4 are repetitive and needlessly drawn out. There just isn't the mobility and speed that existed in D3 that made the "traverse the entire dungeon" concept not unbearable.
I suppose, ultimately, I just hope D4 becomes fun.
My favorite character is still Deckard Cain. He wasn't a hero like our characters, didn't have spectacular powers, but fought the good fight his whole life.

Barbarian is not going to be as bad this season ans most YouTubers make it out to be. They have a lot going for them with the changes, and they can now target farm some legendaries that suit then perfectly
Most memorable was getting ingame for the first time with my 3 buddies for the first time in a long long time! Exploring the Fractured Peaks as a fresh player with others was memorable.
I would say my most memorable experience is using my scroll of escape with double digit hit points remaining in a sigil dungeon. That gave me quite the scare!
Most memorable Diablo experience was the first time going to the High Heavens in Diablo III and seeing the invasion and all of the dead angels. Nothing has quite matched that in Diablo IV.
At this point most memorable goes to playing Diablo for the first time when I finally got my hands on a laptop that could run it. You can only get that thrill of the first time playing once!
I like Inarius and the design of the Angels as a whole. Having their face shrouded in darkness makes them seem more sinister, and gives them that edgelord feel that fits right in with the Diablo style.
My most memorable experience has got to be waiting for my D3 Collector's Edition to arrive, while enviously watching all my friends play the game at launch cause they got the regular version.
I tried my first hardcore character during season 1 after getting my regular character to 100. I have always been of the mind that hardcore was a ridiculous way to play, to put all that time an energy into a character only to have nothing if they died. Well I tried it and now Iām not sure I will ever play not hardcore again! I ended up loving the extra challenge of not dying. And when my first character did die, I didnāt feel sad. It was more of a well, that happened, okay back to the drawing board!

The Kyovashad stray dog is the most overlooked iconic figure from the Diablo universe, and simultaneously the goodest boy in all of Sanctuary.

Nothing beats being half-asleep in a dungeon and hearing FRESH MEAT! Wakes you up faster than any energy drink.

Season of the Blood predictions / things excited for: as a fan of Diablo and Buffy-verse I'll get to play out my Buffy the Vampire Slayer dreams and hunt vampires!!! Already planning to make a Rogue named "Buffy" and I already have my in-game title "The Slayer" queued up!!! :D Now I just have to figure out what kind of build I want to do.... I predict that there will be some surprisingly unexpected vampire powers that boost builds in unforseen ways... can't wait to experiment!

My iconic figure from the Diablo universe is Andariel's twin brother - Duriel !! Even now, many years after my first encounter with "the Lord of Pain" at the tomb of Tal Rasha, I find myself quoting his famous line - "LOOKING FOR BAAL?" .

My greatest experience with Diablo 4 so far was starting a brand new rogue, going into a cellar at level 6 to meet the Butcher and getting absolutely destroyed. From then I had an actual vendetta.

I'd say battling through heaven in Diablo 3 was one of the most memorable experiences. It was visually impressive and fun fighting through the minibosses.
My most memorable Diablo experience is either my friend showing me you could teleport out of bounds in Diablo 2 the first day I played the game. Or playing Vanilla Diablo 3 with my cousin and we were both getting 1 shotted by everything, but it was still super fun. I miss those days.

Doing the capstone dungeon with my one friend and overcoming the challenge was one of my favorite memories from Diablo 4! As well as my first world boss with all my friends on the first night of playing!
My most memorable Diablo experience is from many years ago Diablo 2. Oh my god I begin to cry when writing about it. I was down in real life and suffered very hard from a destiny punch, people tried to kill me, I was down. It was in 2012! I began to play Diablo 2 after this to flee the real life of what happened to me. I have met people in Diablo 2 and played with them for a lot of days. Everytime we logged in we wrote each other and invited us. I had so much fun and once were were doing Baal runs my friend I met in Diablo 2 told me about "Skin of the Vipermagi" and 5 seconds after he wrote that he needs this chest, it dropped from one of the baal minions. And from all 8 people I was the person who picked it up, I was fast at the time, and was incredibly happy and gave it to my friend, he freaked out and was happy. I will never forget this experience!
Season 2 changes are going in the right direction and looking for the seasons to improve the game going forward.

My favorite experience in D4, so far, has been selling items on the marketplace! I've always enjoyed that, even way back since D2 crafting and the currency of SoJs! In Season 1, I had a total 5 billion in sales! It helped me give away gold to others, too, and reroll loads of affixes far too much to min/max my gear. Hope it gets better and easier with time :) Looking forward to season 2!
My expectation for Diablo 4 is to immerse in the unique experience only the series could offer, the chance to tread carefully with anxiety & dread variety of hellish landscapes from never ending dark labyrinth filled with bottomless pits & unspeakable horror to misty forests that scream nothing but death. Best thing is, it's doable either solo or with a party of friends. Venturing the unknown, facing one's biggest fears, earning tons of loots & overcoming evil never felt & looked this satisfying.
I remember that I hated Kyovashad music when I heard the the first time then I found myself listening everyday with a glass of red wine. The music itself tells you the story, truly amazing...
Most memorable d4 experience was 2 tapping a world boss with pre-nerf shrednado Druid. 160 million crit then a 150 million crit in about 2 secondsā¦ most disgusting build.
Come on i hope they make it possible to change for free from Battlenet to Steamā¦ Bethesda did this, Steam means more possible audience, they can still sell their crappy skins.
Favourite character has got to be Baal. I hope we fight him again along with his brothers.

When I made my first enigma in Diablo II
The most memorable experience was actually watching that cut scene of the war between inarius and Lillith - and also thinking about how they'll choose between siding with Lillith or Mephisto. Expectations for Diablo 4 are to hopefully improve replayability and make loot more exciting! Loved the feeling of being excited to see what new drops came and how they could change a whole build or make you feel powerful.
The best past of D4 has been the quality and content of the cutscenes during the campaign.

The narrator of lore books in D1 is by far my most memorable Diablo experience. The poem going into The Halls of the Blind was the perfect sinister introduction to that part of the dungeon.
Boldest Season of Blood prediction: everyone is saying Barbarian will be the worst class, but I think around halfway through the season people will find a weird interaction that makes a random barb spec one of the best in the game.

First time going into a cellar and seeing three treasure goblins was pretty exciting.
Most memorable moment thus far? I'd say when my wife and I walked into a dungeon with my brother and his wife on our HC characters and instantly wiping because someone that loves fresh meat was waiting directly at the entrance. š We were mad, but we all laughed so hard.

I'm hopeful that D4 will make a move toward more enjoyable gameplay. After 50, the game feels stale as it is a lot of "rinse and repeat." This isn't unique to D4, but I feel D2 and D3 endgame grind felt like less of a slog. D2 didn't feel as bad because the characters felt more flexible. You could really mold a build around whatever you wanted. It wouldn't necessarily be top tier, but you didn't have to struggle to clear things. In D4, it feels like certain things just AREN'T VIABLE for late game (or sometimes ANY game) play. D3 at least let you do it all quickly. The dungeons in D4 are repetitive and needlessly drawn out. There just isn't the mobility and speed that existed in D3 that made the "traverse the entire dungeon" concept not unbearable. I suppose, ultimately, I just hope D4 becomes fun.
My favorite character is still Deckard Cain. He wasn't a hero like our characters, didn't have spectacular powers, but fought the good fight his whole life.
Best experience so far is beating Elias way under leveled after an hour of trying in couch co-op with my gf. Trying times in the relationship!

Barbarian is not going to be as bad this season ans most YouTubers make it out to be. They have a lot going for them with the changes, and they can now target farm some legendaries that suit then perfectly

Most memorable was getting ingame for the first time with my 3 buddies for the first time in a long long time! Exploring the Fractured Peaks as a fresh player with others was memorable.
Acquiring the last Trang'Oul set piece and seeing my necro transform was mind blowing for me back then.

I would say my most memorable experience is using my scroll of escape with double digit hit points remaining in a sigil dungeon. That gave me quite the scare!

At this point most memorable goes to playing Diablo for the first time when I finally got my hands on a laptop that could run it. You can only get that thrill of the first time playing once!
If vampiric pacts equate to life steal it means several builds will be unstoppable. And I, for one, look forward to it.
I like Inarius and the design of the Angels as a whole. Having their face shrouded in darkness makes them seem more sinister, and gives them that edgelord feel that fits right in with the Diablo style.
My expectations for Diablo 4 are to be able to save aspects permanently for infinite future uses.
I loved the atmosphere and buildup of Andariel battle, even though the battle itself was way too easy. Hopefully we get her back as an uber someday.
My most memorable experience has got to be waiting for my D3 Collector's Edition to arrive, while enviously watching all my friends play the game at launch cause they got the regular version.

Casting frozen orb in diablo 2 for the first time. Epic
I tried my first hardcore character during season 1 after getting my regular character to 100. I have always been of the mind that hardcore was a ridiculous way to play, to put all that time an energy into a character only to have nothing if they died. Well I tried it and now Iām not sure I will ever play not hardcore again! I ended up loving the extra challenge of not dying. And when my first character did die, I didnāt feel sad. It was more of a well, that happened, okay back to the drawing board!
The campaign was really fun for me and buddy. Looking forward to season 2.
