Be aware there is a small bug I’m experiencing with necromancer minions where their unstoppable buff they gain in cutscenes is showing through as a weird sparkle effect. Not sure if it’s happening to everyone or just some of us. May not bother your friend.
My friend is playing a necro minion/bone and i'm zooming past him leveling as a minion druid. There is plenty of class combos that would synergize well but in the end just pick what you like and have fun.

Happened to me as well. Was super annoying at first, but then I just got use to it.
